These past few weeks have been pretty hectic for everyone, on Origin and in real life. That won't stop us from trucking on, though! Here's a quick check-in of the current happenings of Origin, and

New Mechanic Revealed!
Enchantment is a new way to spice up armor, weapons, trinkets, sticks, stones and anything else you can think of! A set list of effects can be applied using the chart linked, and all you need is someone to cast the newly-revealed
Enchant spell (ʡ1,000 in the Magicka Shop) and a cast of a spell from the list.
Enchant: High-Intensity Manipulation. Imbue a suitable item with passive spell effects. Requires a successful cast of Enchant, and then a successful cast of the chosen spell on the item, used in succession within one thread. Limit one High and two Medium or Low enchants each 2 cycles. Enchantments fade if the enchanter dies.
Look for the Blacksmith to ask for Enchantment help in the near future...
Mother's Core Node Revealed!
Enchantment's reveal marks the end of the
Lost Knowledge quests. Likewise,
[Raid] From Your Cold Grasp is now wrapping up, and with this, the dangerous core
Mother node and associated
Lesser Gembound (see the Bugs section) have been revealed in Ursa. While Infected and Carrier characters may encounter these Lessers safely, only true Hosts will be escorted inside the heart of the Nest to meet the Queen Mother herself, at last.

The Wild Hunt
The Wild Hunt has progressed to the Chase! Any Gembound may still join for a chance to influence the Hunt's outcome, and earn the favor of one of the Three Kings.
Fall Festival
What better way to cap off October than with a little bit of fun? The Gembound have decided to organize a festival. More information about it can

Farina and the Riftstorm!
Something peculiar has happened in Eridanus! Gembounds will notice that the Eyes are oddly uninhabited, and a mysterious, if dangerous rift in spacetime has been opened up... Could it have something to do with the three Valkhound chrysali that were growing there?
Species Database Compilation Quest
In order to build more funky tools to improve QOL on Origin, the staff team have decided to undergo a quest to build a database of species that are playable onsite. We encourage you, the players, to go forth and collect data for these species!
