Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
The golden creature came over to dry him like his siblings, his fur ruffling up with the absence of the slick goo. As the newly named Sprig's siblings busied themselves with philosophical matters such as the concept of family, he had already come to the conclusion that him and the three others were connected somehow, and instead of walking over to someone, like... Amaryllis? Adonia? he stayed back to watch. He observed James's wings-- what would those be for? They looked similar to the ones that Abraxas? had. He looked to Sun's golden fur. Similar, but not quite the same, to the shade of his own, and Adonia's fur. He looked to Comet's sharp claws, quite similar to the ones that Amaryllis bore. And then he looked to all of them. They were all connected, in a way, yet different too. And these were the thoughts that Sprig was thinking about. He turned his attention to the sprig that he had made come up too. How had he done that? There was some sort of energy in a his forehead, and he had brought it down to his paw-- the bam! It had appeared. "H-- how?" he looked at the sprig. Wanting an answer.
Sun watched each child for a moment after he was done drying them as the two approached Comet and James. He saw that Abraxas and her brother hung back. His attention came to the young half lion grub creature. He was not like his siblings rather he fell to look at his own feet.
Sun watched as the little one pondered over the little sprig. A light smile spread over his lips as he reached out to pet the young creature on the back of his head. He looked up at Sun puzzling over his magic and asked how he had done it. ”You have magic little one, just like our father you control plant magic.” Sun said gently pulling his hand back with an adoring look on his face. ”Renny, Comet, I think they all have daddy’s plant magic.” SUn said in a bright cheerful hopeful tone, as he glanced over his shoulder at the two other adults.
Tears welled up in James' eyes, nostalgia making itself known. Days spent frolicking in Eridanus, a teeny little lion cub and a small foal, chasing each other through the underbrush.
"He'd be so proud," he mumbled softly, walking over and laying himself down, "My name's James... we're so happy to see you all."
James wiped his eyes and had to take a moment, so overwhelmed with emotion that it nearly made him break down. After a few seconds he nuzzled Sun, ears down and nose runny. He spread a wing gently and looked towards Abraxas, sniffing.
"Hey sweetheart," he said softly, "Caves- you're all so... wonderful."
Comet watched all the children, trying to take in their personalities and behaviors. Out of all of them, it seemed that Adonia had taken an interest in her, and even walked up a little before stopping. The wolf smiled down at the small lion, who looked exactly like Aristotle. It was quite strange to see a semblance of her late mentor and father in this small cub.
"Pretty." Pretty... Comet had never really been called that before. Or at least not as far as she could recall. That was when she realized that she wasn't so small anymore. She was going to be fully grown soon. "You're really pretty too." she replied, "You look just like Aristotle." The wolf offered out a paw, inviting Adonia to come closer. Comet had taken a liking to this one, who seemed to like her too.
Turning her head, she caught sight of the small lion with many colors on his back pondering over the small sprig that he had made. "Really?" Wow! These cubs were like Aristotle through and through, even having his plant magic! And the lion named Sprig seemed to have inherited his father's curiosity too.
Curiously Abraxas looked at the huge black creature that came closer to them. Though she thought of them as family, her first reaction was to let out a defensive hissing sound. She wasn’t sure she wanted something so large that could easily fall on her to get too close. She wasn’t sure how stable such a creature was on those thin legs. She watched as her lavender colored sister made her way to the much larger black creature after he had laid down.
The little griffin tilted her head to the right side curiously looking at the black creature, brilliant golden eyes watching ever so carefully. She seemed to be quite interested in this brand new world and the beings that lived in it. Her gaze shifted to the white creature as she watched her curious, but allowed her gaze to shift around to her other siblings as she flexed her almost bare and pink skinned wings that were only covered in down feathers.
The small blocky feline head of the long lanky lavender colored six limbed creature tilted its head as the four small rounded ears twitched, catching the large creature’s words. She wondered who it was that they were talking about. Was someone not here that should be? The little creature pushed this thought from her mind as she sat her hindquarters on the ground. She looked up at the much larger black creature as he stated a name and seemed to be referring to himself. ”J-Ja-mes’’ She repeated trying to say what she assumed to be their name.
Lifting a front leg she reached up with a long claw and gently poked James, as she leaned around from side to side, and sat up as straight as she could to take in as much of him as she possibly could. ”Wh-what you?” She asked curiously, speaking much like Sun had for so long.
Legs shaking as they did with effort, the small lion cub blinked her big blue eyes and gazed up at the white wolf. Finally her hindlegs gave out and she fell to a sitting position which took her weight off her legs. She seemed to be a bit weaker than her siblings. She gazed up at the white wolf, a bright smile on her small muzzle.
A soft giggle left the young lion cub as the white wolf called her pretty in return. She let a bright beaming smile spread over her muzzle as she gazed up at the white wolf. As she spoke again saying she looked like someone else, the little lion tilted her head to one side curiously. But as the wolf lifted her leg and offered for her to come closer, she did just that happily standing on wobbly legs as she strode forward to the white wolf. @Sprig

Plant magic... so that's what it was! Apparently that was a happy thing to, because the yellow animal said something with a happy tone towards the other two animals, white and black. Giving the small sprig that he made a little sniff, he decided that now he should try to stand up. His siblings seemed to be moving around already, not smoothly though, since they had only just hatched. Stumbling onto unsteady paws, Sprig walked over to his sister, Amaryllis. Upon arrival, he dropped onto his belly, and watched his sister cautiously. Amaryllis seemed to be the brave one of the group, and actually poked the large black animal! James, was it? The small lion watched, wanting to know more about James.
Another part of his curiosity was diverted to magic, specifically, plant magic. He wondered if he would be able to make another sprig grow up This time though, nothing came up, although he wasn't too disappointed. That was just another thing he would learn to do.
Sun couldn’t help how pleased he was to know that each of the children most likely held a token of Aristotle within them. Each one most likely held plant magic within them. Each one would be able to tend wonderfully beautiful gardens as Aristotle once had, and he knew just where to take them to pick out their first plants to work with. He would take them to their once home in Orion. He was sure that the plants there would still be lush and beautiful.
SUn couldn’t help but sit and watch Sprig as the other three busied themselves with either just watching or aquaitning themselves with either James or Comet. He watched as Sprig stood on unsteady legs, then made his way to his sister. He couldn’t help but smile as Sprig also seemed to take an interest in James. ”I think Amaryllis and Sprig like you Renny.” Sun commented with a smile as he turned around to watch the children and his family now once again together and happy, all save for one gaping absence in his heart.

James laughed softly, "I'm a pegasus. I'm a horse with wings, that's what a pegasus is."
He lowered his head to try and boop noses with Sprig, eyes scrunched with a smile, "Hello little one."
He spread his wings and fluffed them up, and ruffled his feathers until he resembled a very toasted marshmasllow, "There, now you all can come and snuggle if you wish, I've got plenty of room."
He poked Sun, "Come on, you'll love this. I'm all soft and warm- Comet falls asleep best when she's under my wings."
