As James busied himself with the other children, Comet turned her attention to Adonia, whose bright smile warmed her heart. It looked so similar to the ones that Aristotle gave her, that for a moment she was lost in her memories again. Running forward, taking down a rabbit, and looking back to see Aristotle's wide grin of delight in seeing her succeed. Ah, those were the times. But the next moment she was back in the present, and holding out her leg, offering for Adonia to come closer.

The cub did come, although on wobbly legs; a bit weaker than her siblings perhaps, but that didn't matter. Sun's comment did not go unheard, and a smile spread across her face. Comet's ears swiveled towards James's voice, the horse was offering that they all go snuggle under his wings. "Come on Adonia, let's go over to renny." The wolf nudged the small lion towards James.

@Abraxas

The tiny griffin sat with her head cocked watching the one the golden creature had called Renny. Though she was farther away than her siblings she listened as Renny explained what he was. A pegasus was what he was, such a curious creature he was. Abraxas’ eyes shifted between the other two creatures, the one who had dried her and the brilliant white creature she had no idea what they were and neither had explained yet, and it seemed that at the moment neither had intentions of doing so.

Rather than going in closer to any of the other three, Abraxas sat her golden eyes watching the other six of them with earnest curiosity her head tilted to one side. She watched as Renny fluffed himself out and she attempted to do the same thing, however all she managed to do with her down feather was look like she had been zapped with electricity.

Rather than get closer to any of them as the others were doing Abraxas turned and began cleaning herself. She could see that they were all safe and that she wouldn’t be hurt so she settled in to preen herself.

The small lavender cub looked up at James and her six bright blue eyes stared up at James. The two sets of rounded ears listened to James speak. He explained what he was and she nodded, though she didn’t quite understand. Curiously she gazed about James from side to side and all around. She lifted up so her front two limbs were off the ground and she gazed up at James as best she could. She was trying to take him all in. Reaching up, she pointed at James' wings, leaning around him; she poked at his wing with a claw, curious if it was actually a part of him. Blue eyes blinked looking at his wings and taking in each individual feather as he fluffed up.

She stumbled back a few inches as he fluffed himself up, astonished that such hard looking pieces of his body could suddenly look so comfortable. ”Fluffy!” She cried happily clapping her front paws together. She wasn’t sure why she did that but it just seemed to happen when she was excited or happy.

Curiously the little girl walked in under the massive wing and looked up and around her feeling the warmth radiate on her bare skin. A soft purr left her chest as she found herself becoming quite relaxed under James wing. With this the little girl settled down close to James side and lay her head down on her front most paws, her six eyes watching the world for a moment as she relaxed under James’ wing.

The little cream colored cub beamed a bright smile up at Comet as she looked at her absolutely enthralled with the wolf. The little cub tilted her head looking up at Comet’s ear that was made out of her gemstone. It was amazingly beautiful and shimmered so brightly in the light filtering in through the balcony. Willingly the little lion cub came close to Comet as she did she leaned forward and gently rubbed her head against the wolf’s front leg lovingly. The little cub inexplicably attracted to the wolf. A soft meow leaving her as she looked back up at Comet again.

Adonia looked up at Comet, a sweet smile on her tiny muzzle as she felt the wolf nudge her off towards the big black creature she called Renny. The little cub tilted her head for a moment looking up at Comet. She let her tail wave for a moment but with Comet’s encouragement the little lion made her way over to James on wobbly weak legs. As she approached the much larger horse the little lioness cub let out a soft mrowing sound and came up to him pressing her forehead against James’ front leg and let out a gentle purr before joining Amaryllis Under James wing.

@Sprig

Sprig watched his sister, Amaryllis, as she looked over James, and finally came to a rest underneath his wing. Then Adonia went too, turning her attention from the white wolf to the horse, and joining her sister. Something was missing. The lion hybrid looked back towards Abraxas, who seemed to be preening herself, and gave a little growl. His eyeless eyestalks flicked back towards James, indicating that she should join them under his wing.

Sprig left Abraxas to decide whether she wanted to or not, and laid down under the horse's wing. It was so warm and toasty under there, he emitted a wet clicking sound, a sign of content. Tucking in his paws, he fell asleep.

Sun watched as two of the children and Comet made their way to rest under James’ wing. A light smile spread over his face. He was about to nudge Sprig in toward them a bit when he decided on his own to go and curl up under James’ wings as well.

Then he heard Abraxas let out the strange displeased noise and refuse to move any closer. Stubbornly Sun moved to pick Abraxas up gently in his arms. The little griffin made several indignant noises as she was carried over to the Pegasus and under his wings, where SUn lay her down with her three siblings. With that done, Sun made his way over to one side of Comet and snuggled down using her side as a pillow. With a wide yawn the gibbon Joined his new siblings in falling asleep.

EXIT SUN TO SLEEP

James' heart swelled as one child after another curled up under his wings, more and more of them coming forward and snuggling under his feathers. He'd never felt so grateful for them until now. He leaned his head forward to lick and nuzzle every single one of them, including Sun and his daughter, Comet.

He held them all close as he set his head down slowly, gazing over all of them before letting his eyes close too.

"I love you, family," he mumbled, glad to have such a big one.

Even if he, Comet, and Peggy were going to Pegasus, he had these lovelies to keep him coming back to Orion. Besides, exploring was in his blood, too, and traveling back and forth could allow him to see a great many things.

@Comet

Comet's eyes filled with love for the little lion as Adonia rubbed her head against her leg. She let out a low rumble from her throat, and returned the affection by licking her on the head. The sweet smile on her muzzle looked so similar to Aristotle, it was hard to believe that she wasn't him. But she had to get this clear, Adonia was not Aristotle, she was her. A being all her own.

Watching as the small cub went over to James and laid down under his wing next to her sister, Comet followed. She accepted his lick and nuzzle, returned one of her own, but seeing that the space under his wings was getting quite full, she settled down to the right of his chest. "You're all so perfect." she whispered before setting down her head to sleep.

Abraxas let out a deeply undignified sound as Sun picked her up not only interrupting her grooming but also just, He touched her! How dare he touch her without her permission. However her deeply displeased noises and wiggling were ignored by the golden creature as he carried her over to the large black and colorful creature where he sat her down with her siblings. She turned around as he sat her down snapping her beak at his hand, a beak that was filled with sharp feline teeth. She also let out a deeply displeased hiss before backing up against Amaryllis.

The little griffin like creature mumbled to herself in strange sounds as she looked around at the seeming cuddle puddle under the black creature's wings. She looked to her siblings whom had all gathered around willingly. Had she been the only to not accept this instantly? A deep warmth began to settle over the little fluffball as she lay down, a wide yawn parting her beak. She blinked twice before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

EXIT ABRAXAS TO SLEEP

Amaryllis watched as everyone followed her under the one called Renny’s wings. Sprig and Adonia both followed willingly, however it seemed that even if she wanted to be, Abraxas would not be left out, as the golden creature picked her up and she let some displeased cries that made a light smile spread over Mary’s muzzle. But quick as Abraxas became upset she had settled in and fallen asleep.

The small cub lay on her belly with her head up and both sets of forelimbs were stretched out at her sides and in front of her as she watched her family. Yes her family, the place she belonged. As she lay there watching her new family, a cozy warm feeling fell over Amaryllis and a wide yawn parted the little girls jaws. A soft shake of her head as she fought to not fall asleep, she watched as the white sister moved to the free side of Renny, and then the golden one snuggled down as well. Finally she couldn’t fight it anymore and her head fell onto her forepaws and she was asleep.
