Carja had only two passengers, but the less weight she carried the faster she flew, so she didn't really mind. She'd taken flight the moment they'd exited the tunnel, having walked here with Talys on her back and Spring in her claws, using her wings to walk on.

"It's nice up here!", she crooed, flapping a few times before leveling out, soaring over the meadows and forests of Pegasus.

She turned her head to peer at her passengers, making sure they were okay before looking out, searching for rabbits that were grazing. She spotted movement in the trees and swooped down to the ground, gently setting Sprig down.

"We'll hunt from the air," she said, her wings buffeting the ground, "I'll bet you're a good climber, so try and catch the rabbits in the trees!"

Carja swept upwards again, her wings pushing her back into the sky in just a few wingbeats.

"Hold on, Talys, I'm going to try and catch one!", she said, giggling.

Sprig did not actually enjoy the sensation of flight too much, but he didn't complain. This dragon was nice enough to take him with her! He gave a sigh of relief as he was placed onto the ground. "Okay." looking up at the trees, he flexed his paws nervously. It wasn't only the climbing part that was scary, he also didn't know how to hunt! He wished he had taken some of those lessons that Comet had offered.

He took a deep breathe, and ran at the tree. At the last moment, he tried to jump, and get his claws to grip the tree. Unfortunately he hit the trunk with way too much force, knocking the breath out of him. Landing with a thud on the ground, Sprig tried to think of a different way to get at the rabbits above.

Talys stumbled off of Carja, a little motion sick and his legs a little wobblier than he'd expected them to be. His thighs especially were shaking, and he wasn't entirely sure why, but guessed it had something to do with the little flight over. He patted her shoulder politely and thanked her before leaning on his staff to adjust himself and eyeing Sprig as he slammed into the tree. "I could try to give you a boost," he offered, looking the creature over. "I dunno how much you weigh, but I'm stronger than I look."

He stretched a little. "I can catch rabbits sometimes, I eat them at home. Though I don't think the big guy would appreciate how I kill them," he said, grinning as he waved his fingers in the air. "Fire magic!"

Carja rosed higher and then dove down, claws outstretched. She tried to snatch up some of the rabbits, snarling ferociously. She slammed into the top of the tree and snaked her head through the branches, snapping at the rabbits as they darted past, her claws reaching desperately.

She flapped her wings and yanked her limbs and head from the branches, taking to the air and circling, trying to locate them again.

No dice.

"These things are so flighty," she sighed with frustration, wishing for a jungle deer or something.

Instead, she turned and flew off in the forest, looking for kooru, or even some kytes. Something decently big that she could catch.

"Sure." Sprig hoped he wouldn't be too heavy, two cycles old wasn't a lot, but he was a growing lion cub. His eyestalks flicked nervously at the mention of fire magic. He didn't really like fire, but Talys seemed nice. "Yeah rabbits taste good. I haven't tried catching one before though." His large ear rotated towards the sound of Carja slamming into a tree in an attempt to catch some rabbits. The annoying things seemed to be faster than even the dragon, and escaped.

This time Sprig didn't try at run at the tree. Instead, he started at the bottom, and tried digging his claws into the bark to get a hold, a pull himself up. It worked better than he thought it would, and he added in a jump. Grasp, jump, hold, grasp, jump, hold. And soon he was at the top! All without Taly's help, and it was actually quite fast. "Made it!" he whispered, not wanting to scare away the rabbits who didn't seem to notice him yet. Now it was the matter of trying to catch one.

Talys leaned on his stick, watching the pair with amusement in his eyes. He wasn't the most helpful in this situation, but he could probably help carry them back once they'd been killed. He waved at Carja as she headed off, and then threw a rock into the tree a few feet away from Sprig, hoping to startle the rabbits into running right at him. A few startled and began to hurry, only to quickly realize their mistake. Still, they were closer to the lion now, even though they were already trying to plan their escape in other ways. It was up to him to take advantage of it.

Carja flew above the trees, scanning the ground below for a herd of kooru. She felt a bit bad, seeing as Sunny's beloved companion was one, but she wasn't here to see, so...

She took a deep breath and shot through a gap in the trees, slamming her talons down and catching a kooru in them, delivering a swift bite to the spine before grabbing it in her jaws and taking to the skies again. The rest of the herd fled quickly, but at least she had something to show for her efforts.

"Got one!", she said, alighting next to Talys, setting the kooru down.

She and it had twigs and leaves covering them, and Carja had a few scratches from the branches, but nothing that didn't just mark up her scales. They didn't even puncture.

"Go Sprig!", she called out, encouraging the lion with a grin on her face, her arms up in the air as she cheered.

The lights on Sprig's back flashed in alarm as he saw the rock hit a branch only a few feet away from him. Danger, danger! Then he saw it was just Talys. Some of the rabbits were getting closer towards him mow, and he realized why the elf had done that. His ears turned downward to hear Carja yelling cries of encouragement, and he calmed his nerves. He had to do this right, there would only be one shot at this.

He bunched up the muscles in his legs and sprung, however he missed, and the rabbits ran away. Darn. He had done everything right up to this point! But that's what he got for not learning how to hunt very well. Heaving a sigh, he climbed down the tree. "They ran away." Sprig sadly reported.
