Aerie stomped up to the portal and snorted, hot air rising up as steam, ears pinning. She hated this thing by now, but she wanted something cool damn it.

”Give me a scarf,” she demanded, as if that would work.

She paced around the thing restlessly, head low and a growl in her throat. Oh how she hated this stupid, STUPID portal.

Nothing happened...

Was Aerie even sure she knew what the portal did? It continued to swirl, alone, empty...

Aerie worked her jaw as she stared at the thing, muscles tensing. She picked up a rock and threw it, missing by a mile, and stormed off, so angry she could honestly cry. If she had tear ducts at least, which she didn't.

Besides, she didn't cry. She didn't anything. Her rage simmered down until it was nothing, and she left.

Stupid portal.
