Bayo wandered the endless rooms where the Bonebound resided, his tail low and teeth aching with something he rarely (if ever) felt. He walked and walked, around and around until he finally got outside and realized what he was feeling.

Boredom.

He was nearly grown now and he'd barely left Canis, having practically memorized every game trail, every bone, every room. He was so bored of this place and he wanted something new.

So he picked himself up and decided to head for Gemini. From there he'd go to Leo and find out what was there. Yeah, that's what he'd do!

Nemo is back in his nest for a short time -

Loud, colorful, and chaotic home aside, the bird is currently grooming his feathers clean of any color, an unusual behavior but not without reason.

He's nervous, as usual, but more about a battle instead of just flying, about wanting to prove himself and help whomever he could, and however he could. Maybe he'd be able to learn something from all this, maybe he'd be able to finally shake the fear that coats his feathers at all times when he takes to the air, maybe...-

Oh!

"OH! Hello! Up here!"

The pale blue raptor drops out of his nest in a bluster of feathers and excitement, recognizing the younger gembound and the gaze of determination as he beelined it for the cave opening. "Hiya! I'm Nemo! I've uh- seen you around! You're one of Giggle's kids right?"

Bayo jumped at the sudden voice, spooking to the side as he looked up at Nemo, eyes wide. He blinked and nodded dumbly, tail swishing behind him.

”Uh... yeah, I am,” he said, ”M' name's Bayo, uh... you a part of the Bonebound too?”

He didn't know of any blue vultures, his mama had only told him about Aure and Damask, the former red like blood and the latter back and white. It was... weird, to say the least.

”Does she talk about us?”, he asked, and looked back, ”Um... don't tell her I'm here, m'kay? I'll tell her myself later...”

He wasn't sure why he wasn't telling his mother about his little journey. Some sort of teenaged rebellion? Maybe he should go back... yeah...

Nemo was only faintly blue, and his beak caked with the dye he's groomed out from his feathers, but a quick swipe to a ball of shredded and dried leaf near his feet, and he's clean... ish.

He feels bad for spooking the kid below him, so he decides to drop down to his level and continue to talk - maybe he'll be able to accompany him? The lammergeier is no stranger to wanderlust, and so he'd be a massive hypocrite to try and stop the furry child, but... one thing at a time, I suppose.

"Yeah, I'm apart of the Bonebound - I've been away for a while, though, sorry about that. I didn't mean to spook you." with a jaunty wave of one wing, he drops down towards the stone floor, wings half open to act as a sort of parachute so he doesn't hurt himself. A half bounce, and he's stable, talons clacking and bauble bouncing happily, he aims a beaky smile at Bayo. "I've head you and your siblings mentioned, and that's about it, but I'm super glad to meet you! Don't worry, I can keep a secret. I'll only tell her is something goes really wrong. Is that good?"

Bayo grinned back, his tail starting to wag, ”Y-yeah! Okay... uh.”

He looked off towards the tunnel and swallowed, ”I ain't never been out of Canis. I'm jus'... scared? I guess. I keep on gettin' myself hurt even with my mama watchin', so I'm jus' nervous it'll be worse out there.”

He was sick of bloody noses, busted lips, and sore legs. Maybe he was just clumsy but he was... he was scared. That something he would do could hurt the rest of his family. Maybe if he left and went to go learn, he would be able to come back and not have to worry about hurting his family. Maybe... Maybe he'd protect them.

"But if I'm gonna protect my family,” he said, puffing out his chest, ”I gotta face m' fears!”
