Chaos-Two perked up from where they'd been eating, ears flying upwards before they stood up and took off at a lope towards Vargas' voice. They slid to a stop (mostly because they'd accidentally slipped on blood), staring at the two and cringing a bit.

"I'll see to it," they said, eyeing Vargas for a moment before quickly running up to their sibling and nudging their head, "Khavur? Are you awake?"

At the moment, they had no leaf bandages, so they'd just have to use a spell for now and tend to the bleeding once the majority of the wounds were healed.

They watched Khavur for a moment as the magic flowed, waiting patiently for something to happen. When nothing did, they grew concerned.

"... Odd," they mumbled, before they began to feel lightheaded, briefly they looked to Vargas, confused, "Master Vargas, my spell-"

They felt something wet on their face and touched a hand to it, surprised to find blood on it. Dripping from their nose, the source of the lightheadedness. There was no pain, but they were wobbly all of a sudden, drained from a sudden pull of energy. They were afraid of falling, so they sat instead, butt hitting the ground a bit too hard.

"... Backfired," they finished, feeling as if cotton had been stuffed into their ears.

So much for healing...

Words started to drain out a little as Khavur focused more on its own body, but it had many senses for detection, so it managed to notice Chaos-Two's arrival. It wished, then, that it had the energy to say something. It just needed to focus the magic in on itself...

Again, chaos gripped its reaching arms and pulled it-- UNDER.

"AH!" A shout from the big-horned head as Khavur suddenly reared back, the stone beneath its feet shifting and warping. "BACK!" It shouted, unaware of what it has just done. Didn't look safe to touch that spot now. Khavur would wriggle away and slowly collapse elsewhere. Perhaps it was best to let Master Vargas and Chaos-Two figure this one out. Being conscious probably wouldn't be helpful...

He swivelled his head at Chaos-Two's remark, and his response began mock-severe and ended in self-deprecating, obvious humor, amusement in his tone: "Your magic--backfired! Unheard of; what fool has no control over their magic?" His face was twiched up into as near a grin as he could manage, and he gestured down at himself. "Aside from myself. It seems a day for it." His gaze was torn to Khavur, however, as the ground beneath it suddenly split: rending, cracking, blackening.

Vargas shot an arm forward (with a wince) in an attempt to just pull Chaos-Two a little further away. He wasn't sure what was happening but it was an echo of what Draconua had done, and he studied Khavur for a moment. "I will need to have you train with Draconua, it seems... Rest, Khavur. This may take time to mend." He looked over the Reaver, then himself, then looked to Chaos-Two. "Take your time in this and if you require aid, find the birds--the one is capable. But I do not think either of us to be in mortal danger."

His tone was calm, despite the acid blood pooling down--Vargas was well aware of just how much he could safely lose. Though... he had to admit that there was pain--new pain--slowly seeping in. A glance down at his flank showed it to be the near-frozen imprints Khavur had left raked across his hide: the cold was fading and with it came, at last, the pain. Strange, he thought, and grimaced, pushing up to move a few paces away. There he sat back down, and looked again to Khavur. "Look after the Reaver first. I can see to myself."

Chaos-Two flailed a bit as they were pulled back, bleating as they fell over, struggling to roll over once Vargas had let go. They shook themselves out, a few broken quills falling, and looked up, gaping.

"... I'm not fixing that," they mumbled, before ducking their head and quickly running back over to Khavur, hoping Vargas didn't hear.

"Alright, stay still and don't use anymore magic," they said, "You're draining yourself and will keep causing more damage, okay?"

They approached the other's side and put their hands on Khavur's flank, hoping that this time it worked. And with a bit of patience... it did.

Wounds closed up, blood no longer flowing as harshly as it had before. Khavur was still injured, but nowhere near as much as they had been only moments before.

Chaos-Two, on the other hand, suffered for it. They staggered back, struggling to stay on their feet, face pale and eyes rolling in their sockets. The combination of the failed spell and the incredible draw from their blessing caused them to fall, collapsing onto the ground, eyes slipping shut. Their gem demanded they rest, and so they did, one last conscious breath leaving them in a great sigh.

Something, something, magic, train with Draconua -- Draconua? -- something, birds, something, Reaver-- oh, hello Chaos-Two! Don't use magic anymore, yes... drained, exactly. Khavur felt the faintest pressure against its flank and then... hm? Suddenly, Khavur was feeling a whole lot better a whole lot faster. Had it been this awake this whole time? Should it have been paying attention to what they were saying-- wait, no, surely it had been injured and tired before?! Like, a minute before. Was it asleep? Dreaming already? Where was Chaos-Two?

Khavur would pick itself up and turn to look at Chaos-Two, who, in its place, appeared to not be doing so good. Worry gripped Khavur in an instant, only settling when Chaos-Two slipped out of consciousness. It looked to Master Vargas with one head, the other remaining on its sibling. "W-We will rest... cautiously, Master Vargas." It could talk now without feeling even more exhausted? What?? What had Chaos-Two done? "Thank you for... the lesson." It had been interesting, to say the very least.

The beast would then lay down and curl itself around Chaos-Two, twisting in any way necessary to keep blood from accidentally getting on the lamb. It would keep both sets of eyes on Master Vargas for a moment, observing his imperfect form, waiting to hear him if he had anything more to say. Then, Khavur would sink into slumber as well.

He glanced up from his focus on his own wounds, to find that Chaos-Two was indeed tending to Khavur. The wounds were mending, a little, and that was good--but it quickly exhaused the pair of them.

He'd need to make sure nothing took them in their sleep, though he doubted there was anything truly capable in Draco--well, outside Draconua.

Again the Master tried to summon up his magicka to mend his wounds, but it seemed that he was the Master not of any element but of brutal combat: no magic came and he was left with blood still splattering, hissing, across the floor. With a tightening of his jaw he turned and paced a little ways away, to continue his attempts without waking the pair.

As for the lesson--"I hope you learned it well," was his only answer--not a threat, but solemn. Undoubtedly some--like Chaos-Two--would have found such lessons cruel, but he knew full well that in the long run it might save Khavur's life, some day. And perhaps Chaos-Two's, as well.

He settled in, many-thumbed hands applying pressure to the frostbitten wounds, and focused on his own injuries, for now.
