Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Among the bones there was a chrysalis, blue with splashes of white. It stuck out among the dust and rocks. Inside, the gembound had already awaken and was staring into the darkness for several days.
Conscious, it had enough. It began to break free, the chrysalis beginning to crack and splinter, until it gave way completely. Shards of rock were sprawled out, and the creature inside fell out onto the ground, wet and cold.
He was half-blind, stone where his eyeball should be. Slowly, the baby vulture began to roll onto his talons, looking around the place he emerged into.
beside this chrysalis stood another, this one instead being white in color with various and large spheres of a pissy yellow color, sticking out just as much as the other. a juvenile resided inside and he had yet to wake up, that was until the emersion of his neighbor causing the individual to snap his eyes open into alertness, what is going on? despite the curiosity peeking at his head he did not dare move out of wariness as to what was happening outside his little zone of security. the clicking of talons hitting the stony pavement would reach out to him causing the temptation within him to merely grow stronger by the minute, just what would he see if he dared to come out. time to find out, he would eventually come to a conclusion for he had enough despite the security he was feeling inside the chrysalis, all good things must come to an end. moving his body in a quick mannerism, he would struggle to be released from his confinement in an arduous fashion. soon enough he too would be released, clumsily falling out from what held him inside to join his peer onto the ground with a sharp, "oof." after making it to his feet, the first thing he would notice was the individual standing beside him and instead of taking interest in him he would look towards his surroundings taking note of the various bones around the floor, where am i?

Once again, Azazel would bear witness to yet another Gembound hatching, but it seemed that birds were becoming very common. The eaglet that was named Ambrus had accepted his offer of staying in The Bonebound, and the Ave was taking his first steps into fatherhood... well, getting ready to. Little did he know, The Bone King was going to wind up with quite a collection of children... more specifically birds. It would soon be as if Azazel were trying to lift a 50-pound barbell... to no avail. The Ave did not know how to be a father. He had fathered Saudade in his earlier days, but the vulpine gembound had left him. Beau, too, had been a foster child... but the happy-go-lucky boy had simply disappeared as well. Both had been curious animals, so the vulture was willing to give them that excuse.
A great crack had drawn him nearby, and as Azazel approached with a curious look in his eyes, there was another clamor rising in the caves. Two chrysalises had split, and there were two little wads of down lying in the carnage of crystal shards. On the right was a grey-ish fluff, sort of like the eaglet and perhaps even Azazel himself when he first emerged in this world. The other was similar, but was a snowy white and bore a face of lemons. A lot of lemons, apparently.
Hopping over, the Ave smiled quietly. "Hello, little ones!" Carmine orbs blinked as he scrutinized the two, finally concluding... he had finally found other vultures! His heart raced, and he felt a sudden rush of euphoria. "Are you vultures?" The question was half squealed, half spoken. Azazel was practically fangirling.

VRAAK
I DREAM OF THE SKY
One of the vulture's heads turned so that the only functional eye stared at the other. Something seemed to grind like gears in his mind as he began chortling, the sound deep in his throat. It seemed to be a friendly guesture, at least, as one talon moved in front of the other to approach the other newborn.
The second Azazel arrived, the bird's head turned towards him, watching him carefully for a moment with a tilted head.
"Are you vultures?"
The gryphon vulture began to chortle once more. His head turned the other way, showing the sky-coloured gem lodged in his eye-socket to Azazel while he looked at his 'brother,' before he turned once more to the Lammergrier.

piercing eyes would continue moving about, scanning the surroundings before him in a strong feeling of admiration and also confusion. he would take every little detail only to register it within his head and it seemed to be quite overwhelming considered the bothered look that was imprinted upon his face, where am i? he was picking up one too many details for his little head to grasp, every bone he would see instantly beginning to be of utmost importance to the chick and it was as if he was accumulating even more weight and stress to his back to the point that it felt as if one was carrying a barbell. looking back towards the other approaching chick, diabolos would loosen up at the at the hearing of a friendly gesture, he's no threat to me. he would have asked his peer where they was but it seemed that he did not of their whereabouts either. soon enough the recent arrival of yet another vulture would snap his head to attention, papa? a feeling of curiosity started attracting him to the stranger but once again he did not dare get any closer. the loud noises that the two would emit from their beaks caused the chick to flinch in surprise, shut up! eyes would narrow in annoyance and he would retort with a hiss.

As soon as he had been noticed by the newborn duo, the bigger one had begun to chortle loudly, then turning to face the lammergeier. Those eyes... one was a dark abyss while the other was a dull and glassy blue. Was he amongst those Gembound whose gem was embedded right into their eye? Meanwhile, the smaller yet fluffier child looked very nervous and confused. Waddling closer, he gave a small chirrrup! to reassure the small avian, nuzzling the top of his head with his beak (not without gaining a small clicking noise as his beak met gem,) and he moved to the other one and did the same. These two would be his sons... they seemed to have already taken a liking to him.
Azazel... he didn't quite know what he had expected when he asked the question if the two were vultures. From the bigger one came an unholy screech that made even The Bone King cringe. When he was sure he was done, he lifted a wing meekly and pointed, "So he is 'Vraaaaak'." The small critter was gazing at him, but then turned his head so Azazel could see his gem-filled eyes, and he smiled. "That's your stone." Facing the younger boy, he gently nudged his with the elbow of his wing, "That's your stone, little guy." Magic welling up within him, he hoped to show off one of his spells to the youngsters, and soon the air whispered the gryphon vulture's name, in the same tone of voice but much quieter and more tolerable. "You can use it to summon magic, like that!"
Carmine eyes blinked as he turned his head to the smaller newborn, tilting his ivory head. "What's your name? I am Azazel, but you can call me Azzy or Aza..." or even daddy, he thought, but did not say. He'd wait to see if these two would take him as their father.
Vraak shifted and watched carefully as Azazel approached the smaller vulture, though seemed to relax once apparently deeming him not a threat.
He chortled once more as the lammergrier came close, quietly lifting his beak to snuffle his neck-feathers and flinched once he moved away. He seemed to listen for a moment, though it was clear that Vraak was not so good at the talky-talky, as it were. emitting strange sounds, half-chortling, half-squeaking; "K.. Kraaahh! Rraaah!"
Maybe it's a name. If you really, really stretched.

it seemed that they had refused to heed his demands causing the babe to stomp his foot down unto the ground with a fury about his eyes, you guys listening!? he would eventually come to the conclusion that there was no helping it causing the vulture to release sounds of his own, "kraaah!" diabolos would listen in on the words that the stranger had spoke and would look towards the location of the stranger's red jasper stone, just what is that? his question would eventually be answered with the help of the stranger who dubbed himself azazel who in turn asked for his. "don't have one," the little of act of magic that the vulture had performed had caused for the individual to take interest in him, tell me more. despite the lack of speech, the babe was more than capable of it and he was certainly proud that he could more of a conversation than his brother could.

These two were absolutely adorable and Azazel was smitten. Surely these two would be great once they got older. Vraak was a cute little chortling/squealing mess, while the nameless one was quiet, measured, yet curious. Soon, the nameless one stamped a foot down in fury, even though it felt like nothing once it got to the Bone King. Holding back a chortle, Azazel displayed his magic and looked at the unnamed lad. "No name? I can give you a name..." And so he pondered. What name seemed to fit the boy? He seemed like he would grow up to be a diabolical little mastermind. Diabolos... Diabolos Vita. That would be perfect. Just as Azazel's beak cracked open even the slightest bit, Vraak broke out into untimely chatter. As soon as he was done, the Ave smiled and chirped out, "Diabolos... Diabolos Vita. Do you like that name?"
The Bone King looked at the gryphon vulture and smiled. "Vraak. You like that sound, don't you? It must be your name, then." Ah yes, he could remember when he first emerged and heard the voices within his head whispering the sound 'Azazel' to him. He had enjoyed the sound of that, and since adopted the name as his. Later, he seemed to remember that it meant "scapegoat. Hopefully Diabolos would learn the same, if he adopted the name Azazel had offered.
