QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Svenna was nearing the end of her first cycle of life in the caves. She wandered the tunnels and rooms without purpose, driven by primal instincts alone. Her insufferable stomach was always hungry. As soon as she finished a meal it was demanding that she find another one prompt. Big, fanning ears were pressed back tight against her skull and her eyes had an angry gleam to them this day. Her frustrations were ever growing the longer she lived in the caves. Tendrils of smoke followed behind her often, too often, her fur was taking a beating from uncontrollable magic casting. It was darker than it should be and fried to hell. Wiry with patches flaking off every time she brushed against a jagged edge of rock. The missing patches were well hidden against the spotted patterns along her sides.
Stomping around absentmindedly, the hyena wasn't feeling much of a hunt that moment. But when a shadow and rustle were heard from a voluptuous fern positioned in the middle of a wall fissure, she was quick to react. Trying to call forth the heat in her body to her paws, Svenna failed once again. The paw pads supporting her sizzled for a second before losing their flare all together. She puffed miserably, what was the use of magic if it never worked when she wanted it to? She'd simmer herself away into barbeque before her own body minded the things she told it to do.
Bounding towards the bushy plant, the girl scared a cave rat loose. It was too quick for her this time, Svenna missed by mere inches as the creature scurried through the crack in the wall, squealing all the way. "DAMN IT!" she hollered, blood boiling in blinded rage she struck at the wall. A loud thump and a searing pain in her shoulder quickly killed the out of control emotion. It would be bruised, but manageable.

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
Rich, deep laughter echoed through the tunnel. Amber lanterns stared through the darkened corner he had tucked himself away into. The smell of smoldering fur was thick on the air, burning the poor lupine's nose. Though, still he lay in wait, watching as this creature stomped around and lost her temper at missing her prey. "You must be new at hunting," His voice rolled out from the darkness he lurked within. Carrying a hint of aggression and a touch of sinister emotions. There was no telling how often this fellow creature hunted, or even if it was younger than he was. It probably wasn't in all thoughts pondered. There was no remembrance on how long he, himself, had been wandering around. Truly it had not been so long, but it felt like he had been spending a hell of a lot of time simply wandering.
Tucked safely beneath his hind legs sat a peculiar gem. A glistening Teardrop Seraphinite. It was his treasure, the thing he had so boldly stolen from the giant beast in a Pit. A possessiveness wrapped around him, his nose snarling up as the paranoia that this creature was here to steal his stone slowly began creeping it's way into his thoughts. The puppy shifted and tried his best to keep his gem out of view. He would be one very upset puppy if this thing tried to take it!
"Perhaps you would like assistance," The smirk returned to his voice and slowly he prowled out of the depths of darkness. He would not move far, refusing to get any further away from his gem unless he scooped it up into his pawed hand. His small tail lashed behind him as his eyes never left the form of this female. Mildly he wondered why she smelt like she was burning. Curious to know if she was causing this oddity on purpose. Big ears pressed forward, listening for any rebuttal this female hyena may have for him.
"Speech"
Ooc: Oooh yush. Meet the Asshole >:D. Sorry it's kinda short. It's odd for me to rp Damian as a child XD. Used to him being an adult.

Svenna's eyes narrowed at the approaching shadow, a strange young looking beast with a deep amber gaze. Her stance widened in a defensive position when aggressive words fell from his mouth. She didn't appreciate the insulting tone that the stranger had directed towards her. The hyena juvenile bristled in response but didn't direct any of the rude thoughts that came to mind towards the lupine creature. He was an oddity. Something unlike anything she had ever seen. Nothing in common with the dragon, who was also an unusual creature, Svenna had met weeks ago.
Once the figure stepped out of the shadow, Svenna eased up slightly. His eyes were locked on her own, which only made her uneasy again. Looking him up and down with her pale gaze, a glisten had caught her attention from the floor of the tunnel. Was he trying to hide something? It piqued her interest, but decided to just ignore it's existence for now. What was up with gembounds and their treasures? Svenna had no desire to hoard physical items like some seemed to desire. Like the crusty, loud-mouth bird she had almost dined on. He had an almost obsessive collection which included bones. Bones of all things.
Scoffing, Svenna growled a reply, "Think you're decent, whelp?"
The hyenas response to him made a gnarred expression split across his features. He was no whelp! Hackles bristled as the front of his lips peeled back to expose the front of his fangs. Though, be quickly shook himself and soon regained his composure. Her offered a dark smirk towards the canine. "Obviously more decent than you if you can't even catch a simple cave rat," he snapped back at her as he moved to sit back on his haunches. Not moving from his spot where his precious gem lay hidden beneath his leg.
"But perhaps I am mistaken?" There was a taunt in his voice. A jest for her to rise to his words and try to prove him wrong. It would be interesting to say the least, to see just what this female could do. She seemed fiesty enough to keep his attention for the time being, but should he grow bored of her he would most definitely make their meeting into something to entertain himself.
It would seem her words struck a nerve... good. Svenna's scowl intensified. She didn't fall bait to his insinuations on her hunting skill. It was known and accepted that she was a decent huntress for her age, after all she was still kicking. Alive and well off from all the food slaughtered and dined upon. It was rather unfortunate that her stomach demanded such grueling amounts of food. She summed it up to a fast growing body and all the energy needed to fuel her fiery magic.
Watching the male sit upwards on his haunches, Svenna shifted to the side slightly to try and catch a peek at what he was hiding. It was a subtle move, a hidden shift of her weight to get a better angle. Flicking her black tail, bingo, she saw the slightest glimpse of the gem he was trying to hide. A mere gem! She wanted to laugh in his face for the worthless item the lupine character wished to hide. What use was it to her?
Exhaling an exasperated breath, she shot a retort his way, "Big words, whelp, I've yet to see you do better." Svenna repeated the name that seemed to ignite a fury in him. The truth was, she'd take the chance to show him up. But the racket the two were making had to of scared all prey away by now. Their rising voices bounced around the walls of the tunnel, killing all signs of life from the aimlessly placed ferns. It was quiet here. Almost too quiet.
"'Sides, your screechy baby voice scared everything away," her eyes narrowed. Svenna wasn't always such an instigator, but it was amusing for now. It wasn't often she was engaged in conversation with her fellow cave-mates.
