Kitty had met Azure, and it had gone famously. She'd joyously delivered her new toys back to her lair, and now she was paying a visit to Comet -- she had her fancy new bowl in her mouth, and was trotting happily towards Comet's house. She set it down once she was still a ways away. "Comet! Are you around?" she called. "I have a favor to ask you!"

She was excited. She knew that Comet had spells that could make water, and that she had a strange way of putting magic into objects -- Kitty was hoping that she could make the bowl produce water. Then, she could have a bowl of clean water in her house and be able to wash her face and paws with it. It was an exciting prospect indeed, though she might need to dump it out occasionally.

In any case, she was prepared to provide payment.

Comet had been busy taking a good old snooze. It was a good thing she wasn't in deep sleep, or else she wouldn't have heard Kitty calling to her. Well, she was almost never in deep sleep. Wolves didn't actually fall into deep sleep a lot, as it turns out.

She sprang onto her feet at Kitty's voice and ran out of the house. "Yep! I'm here! What is it?" the wolf slowed to a stop in front of the red raccoon and stared at the bowl in her mouth. "That looks cool! Did you make that?" It vaguely reminded her of when she had tried to carve rock before. It wasn't easy.

Kitty shook her head. "No, I met someone named Azure! She taught me a little bit about dyes, and made me some things -- this is one of them. But! You can put magic into things, right?" Kitty asked. "I was wondering if you'd be willing to try putting that magic where you make water appear into this? So it'll like, fill up!" And stay filled, at that.

Her ears pricked forward. "And, I can give you payment, if you want! I have some stuff I could give you in exchange, or I could always give you another fortune, or try to answer a particular question." Ah, and there that was -- another lie, another thing she wasn't sure of.

Azure was not a name she had heard before, at least she didn't think she had. She kept it in mind, because Azure sounded very helpful. "Yep, I can!" Comet stepped forward and inspected the bowl. Hmm, she tried to think back to if she knew of any spells that drew water. The one that absorbed the moisture from the air could certainly work, but she didn't know if that would produce enough. Oh! Maybe the one that got water from the ground?

"No payment is needed, consider this a gift!"

The tingling feeling was pushed out into the bowl, but it seemed that she didn't put enough. After all, this was a large object. It would take much more energy to start the enchantment process than it did with the bead. Comet took a deep breath, and sneezed. "Sometimes it takes a few tries." she smiled, the bead certainly didn't work the first time either. Then, she focused once more on the bowl, imagining the magic being pushed into it.

"That's the first part done!" she gave a happy wag of her tail. It would've been very disappointing indeed if she was unable to enchant this bowl for Kitty. Knowing you could do something and being unable to do it when you need it was a bad feeling. The first failed attempt had given her a small bit of doubt at her ability to enchant things, but now her faith in her magic was restored.

But she hadn't done the second part yet. Focusing once more on the bowl, which was now ready receive a spell, she tried pushing out her magic a second time. It was faint, just like the first spell, but she managed. "It should work now." Comet looked at the bowl, as if staring at it would cause water to fill it up. Not like she thought it didn't work, but still.

Kitty couldn't help but breathe out a small sigh of relief at not needing to provide payment. Comet was being so kind; she really appreciated it! Also, it meant she had less chance of getting caught in a lie. Always a good thing, no matter who you were asking. She watched in quiet fascination as Comet enchanted the bowl, and wondered distantly if she could do that.

But then again, Kitty wasn't great with magic beyond pretty charms and easy party tricks. This sort of thing felt powerful -- she doubted she'd have been able to do it with any level of consistency. She looked at the bowl for a moment, and waited for a few baited breaths before noting that the surface started to look a little shimmery. It was more than enough for her, especially since this was a gift. Kitty popped over to retrieve her bowl.

"Thank you so much, Comet! I'll give this some time to fill up once I get home," she said, her tail curling happily behind her in a notably cat-like gesture. "Stop by sometime if you need anything; if you call out for me in the forest, I'll probably be around to hear you!" It wasn't as if she could give a proper map, after all.
