Sooo... I've got a carnivore that's good, an omnivore that's neutral, and now I'm thinking about an herbivore that's evil... However, I don't want him to start off that way.

I have an idea for a red deer fawn that will start off innocent and kind but I'm thinking something happens to him. Perhaps one of his friends betrays him or he thinks one of his friends is killed by some unfair circumstance (perhaps a predator) and it turns him bitter and against carnivores. I'm thinking after this bit of unjustice happens he could gradually become more and more bitter and try to recruit other herbivores to his cause as a group against carnivores, their meet eating ways, and going against an herbivore's timid instincts.

What do you guys think?

That was my instant thought. But don't mind that, I think this is a great idea and worth pursuing. Especially if this guy also emulates Deer Dad. Maybe he thinks Deer Dad is being too lax with all this nonsense (WHY DID YOU LET THIS INJUSTICE HAPPEN?!) and even attempts to replace him and/or put Deer Dad on the HerbivorousRex side? Possibilities. But it should definitely be done, especially if he raises some interesting questions. Of current I think (because everyone's a kid and cute) the herbivores and carnivores have a really adorable truce... but some tough questions need to get asked / crop up as the carnivores realize that uhm... Most of them need to eat and it isn't like there's a smorgasbord selection in the cave. ;) DUNDUNDUNN.

Anyway. It's an awesome idea, you should pursue it!

That, sounds like it'd be fun. So is this army of herbivores going to plan war against the carnivores? Is there going to be an all out battle? :O

@Atlas: I actually hadn't even thought of him emulating Deer Dad but that would be awesome if he had an encounter with him and decided that that was who he wanted to be like. Only to have it come crashing down when he sees that Deer Dad "let" a fellow herbivore be killed. He could be totally against him and his ideals after he develops the bitterness and lets the hate fester >3 But yes, those questions should be asked and what better way to have it happen than one of the herbivores being plunged head first into carnivore violence.

@Arkrael: Yes so much yes! I could imagine him wanting to eradicate the carnivores and if it's allowed I can imagine a war and if not a war several tough battles being fought!

Hes also terrified of deer because of their feet (but all the deer he's met have been nice so he's trying not to worry about it so this is hilarious to me)

But yes if you'd like your deer baby to see Fisher murder a hare or something I'd be up for that. (Hey at least Tam convinced him not to eat anything that can talk)

Oh no no no, not a hare >3 it's gonna take an actual sentient animal getting killed for this baby to turn bad. I'm thinking that maybe someone near to him, a creature that hatched alongside him or one that he watched hatch and was trying to take care of. That would make him snap.

What if Fisher befriended this deer before he starts getting bitter and then when they meet up afterwards it can freak him out when he's mean and rude to poor Fisher?

And that would be awesome of you :'D I'll probably post an official thingie up for it once I get all the kinks worked out that'll be like a sing-up sheet for all the little important events in the first few cycles (friend being killed, killer of friend, etc.).

I didn't bother to pm you because i saw you went to bed, but yeah, I'd also be willing to make a character to fulfill any of the roles you need :> For the friend-killer, we could also use one of the NPC predators we were brainstorming in the cbox a little while ago? The staff and I need to put more brain into it, but I think it would be a cool thing to get started.

Alternatively, an accidental situation involving a certain hungry leopard cub might turn him off predators, if say, that leopard accidentally hunted him and then was like "OH SHIT THIS ONE TALKS". XD
