Esther.
The strange, corrupted dog was a curious creation indeed. Seemingly a natural gembound, either hybrid or mutated-- Cain had no way of knowing without asking some rather unnecessary questions-- that had fully succumbed to the Creator's chaotic influences. The Overseer itself kept a wide berth from these sorts of things, though lately it had been hearing the whispers... ever since dealing with the Hand, Aethril.
It wasn't particularly concerned. It figured its Master could fix that, or at least knew a way to avoid succumbing completely. Master Vargas had his own magic, after all, and Cain would like to keep its magic in tact as well. Chaos magic was its own beast, and it was fairly certain the two were not interchangeable.
All of that was somewhat... irrelevant. Cain had been perched, watching Esther from a far, and deciding where it was going to start with them. It was interesting to Cain that they were fairly similar: brown-orange fur, four-legged, with functional wings. The fact that Esther was a dog-- fox? wolf?-- was the second biggest difference past the reek of corruption, and that didn't bother Cain. All together, the Overseer was looking forward to starting their training in earnest.
So! They had to start somewhere, and there was no better time than now. The meeting had thoroughly ended, everyone returning to doing whatever it was that the Forge did. Cain wasn't about to let Esther wander off though: wings spread and with a leap, the feline swooped down before the chaos-consumed canine. Immediately, its magic sparked as it began to observe how the dog reacted to their Overseer's approach.
"Esther!" Cain greeted, sounding surprisingly amiable,
"We have much to discuss." Its tail swished in a grand, sweeping motion, beckoning the fellow winged carnivore closer.
"Do you have a moment?" This was not unlike how Master Vargas spoke to it, and it mimicked the leviathan well when it came to training its fellow forge members. How else would it succeed at replicating its success in others, after all?
