Why was he LOSING against such a TINY, WEAK OPPONENT? He should be WINNING! He should be EFFORTLESSLY stomping this STAIN into the earth. The laughter only stoked the flames of his rage- as if it wasn't already a bonfire. "SHUT UP!" He'd roar, "and STAND STILL YOU BRAT." He knew it wouldn't listen, but he just wanted to land a single hit on it. If he went about this right, a single, solid hit would all he'd need.

Seeing his opponent try to flee after all of that made a growl rise in his throat. He'd gallop after the cowardly cretin, a paw poised to hit him out of the air like a foul ball. The paw catched the end of Balder- hindquarters or perhaps the side of a wing- not quite slamming him to the ground but certainly throwing them off balance. At least it was something.

A paw came for him and smacked him just good enough to throw him off balance. "AAAARGH!!!" Balder growled in frustration as he careened back towards the ground. With a slight umf! he landed, able to stand soon after. "STUPID!" He was pouty, but in no way impressed. This stupid had RUINED his awesome PLAN!!! Balder would make this idiot lion pay for that.

By running up and attempting to smack it in the face again.

He grinned as the insolent kitten crashed to the ground. At its little cry of an insult he growled back "You sure are!" Teeth bared in something only barely resembling grin.

It ran up to him, paws swatting at his face. He reared back, arcing his head back out of harm's way. And then he lunged down, teeth aiming to grab Balder and pick him up off the ground.

If this was successful, hed begin to violently shake the little creature in his mouth, like a rabid dog.
