Action. Thought. "Speech."
He sat in the fields outside his home, door open.
he'd made progress, he likes to think. maybe he's not quite a healer, but he's got something equally as important to him. a family, a home. his leg still hurt, and was almost unusable, but he'd heal. he was still considering cutting it off, however well that would end. but no matter!
he watched his daughter in the fields too, as she excitedly talked to her new friend and played with the butterflies and lessers. he looked up at the cave ceiling, eyes squinting. it was a nice day out, and he had a nice life. this was good. maybe he should make something for the blacksmith, to show his gratitude for all he'd done.
he's not sure he would've ever had his daughter, not for him making that belt. even if it was a small, unrelated action like that, he had still encouraged forgraves to make the choice that felt right to him, and more recently, he'd possibly saved his life, though that might be an overstatement to anyone else. it felt only fair he showed he appreciated such kindness.
he looked back to his house. the door was bigger now so tori could go in and out with ease, and he'd had to make small stepping-platform so he could still reach the handle, but it would do. he'd seemed to get decently talented at making things, but he was in no way perfect at it. he looked at the giant mace that leaned against the side of the door, metal glinting. an odd decoration for sure.
from outside and into the hallway he could see his working area, and the crystal decorations he'd hung to ensure there was always light. Banshy had helped light them. he was glad to reconnect with his brother. he missed his father, in strange ways for sure, but even Banshy had not seen him in ages. said brother was asleep somewhere in the back, tired after a long flight, resting before they truly commenced another visit. there was talk of Banshy moving in, aswell, which made his chest bubble with affection.
he had a family, and it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. he didn't have to wonder whether or not they loved him, if they cared, if they'd be mad, or even if they'd think he was weak. he knows they dont, because they tell him so, and he tells them the same.
He hears tori call his name, excited about a pretty flower she found, and as he padded over, he smiled, because he was home.
