A few moments after leaving behind the hold in the wall where the rats had departed, Wilder sprinted into Cepheus, pausing just inside its entrance. This room had always caught her as extremely strange, with its palace and finely-kept gardens, and little else to see. A strange place for the source of the whispers to be, but the voidlight cast from above, washing the room in strange colors, really set the proper tone for the being that had haunted Wilder's every step.

Swallowing heavily, she paced forward, flaring out her magic, searching for any kind of trace of the presence she'd felt before. Either the whispers from the wall or the presence from inside the rats.

She wasn't even sure that she wanted to find it, now that she was here. She was almost scared of what it was going to be. What it would look like, if it had a physical appearance. But she had to find it, if only to find out why.

The faint touch of Chaos made its mark here, and it was likely that Wilder would sense its taint here and there among the manicured trees. Strange, that a place seemingly so well-Ordered was in fact a white-clad bastion of entropy. An irony, perhaps, or a deliberate jab-?

In any case, there was nothing else particularly noticeable; no hint of anything sinister and active, no thrumming power in the walls preparing to erupt. If anything, Cepheus was business as usual--as much as the palace of the Valkhands could be.

Whatever the strange whisper in Tunnel F had meant, there were no clues yet to be found here.

@Wilder
