Okay, I know Edric said he'd done some self-reflection and decided that lurking in the Creator's basement all the time wasn't the way to go to usher these caves toward their inevitable fate. He did! But this time was different, Edric swore! He wasn't here to stay, just to rest for a while before awakening STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE. If the wishing stone was to be trusted, that was.
"Just-- you-- wait," Edric huffed as he dragged himself down the steep slope toward the Hole. He continued his rant, seemingly at thin air. "I'll become so strong everyone will TREMBLE BEFORE ME, like those BONE TOWERS TREMBLED before I KNOCKED THEM DOWN. Yeah, I'll beat EVERYONE up! No more losing to Catawampuses. No more--oof-- none of that. I'll make you proud, Voices."
He had reached the bottom of the Hole, now, and lurched toward the Altar. "I'LL SHOW EVERYONE!" he howled to absolutely no one. "I AM POWERFUL! I WILL DESTROY AND DEVOUUUUUUR!!!" The boar trailed off into breathless giggles. "Thanks to that stone... I can make you proud. ARE YOU PROUD?! I will do anything for you, I CAN do anything for you!!! Soon... when I awaken!!!"
Then, in a very anticlimactic moment, Edric flopped onto his side and went to sleep.
