Species: Hybrid
Appearance:
This creature looks like a cat. From far away. It is a towering beast, standing thirteen feet at the shoulder, and the bulk of its body being some 20 feet long. It's body is strong, yet skeletal looking. Its extremities bark and wood, housing living, beating organs and seafoam colored blood beneath. Its head is reminiscent of a skeletal tiger's skull, but hancrafted from wood by a loving artisan. Grooves travel it, and a trio of holes, housing the same bioluminescent seafoam color as its blood, line the nasal bone. Its eyes are a trio as well. They glow fiercely, the same color as its innards. Its teeth are rows upon of sharp spikes of wood, reminiscent of a shark. They grow in throughout its life, and as one gets cut down, another is quick to take its place.
It has a tongue, but it is glued to the bottom of its mouth, as a fish's is. Branches trail back from its head, sprouting limp swamp plants. Beneath its branches, it's neck is sharply spined, and beneath that thickly armored bark, almost scale-like. As a child the bottom of its neck is a net of thickly matted swamp plants and algae, but as it gets older the bark beneath becomes smoother, and there is less for the plants to grip onto> It gradually sloughs away, revealing the bioluminescent quills that line its underbelly. Vertebral spikes trail down its torso, along with two pairs of massive tubular structures that jet from its shoulders. A shark's fin, also barky, is halfway down its back. Its limbs, too, are wooden, but limber as young wood, though the beast still creaks as it moves. Its' tail is skeletal as well, ending in a long, tadpole like fin, also seemingly carved out of wood. Its stone is in its keelbone, a triangle of glossy oilstone.
