The hunt was on. Wynry had ran ahead as per usual and she was left to hunt him down in a game of hide and seek along side the love of her life. Paws moved gracefully across stoned floors, dampened in noise by the pads of her paws. Vazi's hooves clacked almost loudly, but it didn't matter. They were fully grown. Both of them as tall as they would ever be and it was funny to think that the stag next to her had once been much smaller than she. Now, she stood with her head aligned about his shoulders. It was funny to think, but it really wasn't a big deal to her. Their focus was to find wynry and win the game, but Arkrael honestly couldn't keep her mind from the stag she was traveling with in search for the sheep. So she really hadn't been paying attention to any scent trail the cute little Wynry may have left behind in his hurry to go hide.

However, now that she was searching Orion all on her own after Vazi had suggested they split up to find Wynry all of her hunting senses seemed to come rushing right back to her. Her nose worked easily, bringing in the many scents that lingered within the particular area in Orion she had been in. Nothing. Not a single sign of Wynry was left. All she managed to catch was a few prey and if she wasn't mistaken a large feline that must live around the vicinity. A huff escaped the wolfess as she lifted her head and turned her multi-colored eyes about the area. He certainly had gotten better at hiding hadn't he. She was just about to move on to a different area to try and catch a trail, but when Vazi's frantic voice reached her ears Arkrael fell absolutely still.

Her heart began to beat wildly as she instantly turned on paw and sprinted after Vazi, desperate to catch up as Vazi went rushing down a tunnel that led out of Orion. She wans't sure what caused her love's sudden distress, but it was definitely something to do with Wynry. Adrenaline coursed through every inch of her and she cried out for Vazi, not sure if he should be charging ahead without checking to see if there was truly any danger. It wasn't until the sudden scent of blood washing over her sense did her heart drop into her stomach. 'No...' She cried mentally as she forced herself to run faster.

She came upon the scene instantly, just as Vazi began charging the large while... three headed beast. "Kerberos!" She roared his name, hackles bristling as she ran at the both of them. Wynry's scent mixed with the blood and she knew. She knew the moment she saw Kerberos that Vazi's brother was no more. "Get away FROM HIM!" Her voice quivered with her rage as her lips peeled back to expose dangerous fangs. It was daunting the size this creature had grown too. The last time she had laid eyes upon him he was nothing more than a pup. A pup who had managed to scare a nice little mark into her right shoulder.

Just as she made to lunge and shove the beast away from Wynry, Vazi had managed to get in her way so all she could do was skid to a stop before she collided and sent them both rolling into the unresponsive sheep. "What have you done!" She cried angrily, lurching forward towards the beast that now towered over both she and Vazi. He could easily become a foe worth fighting. A challenge even she would most likely struggle to control. Yet she did not back down, she would not. Her tail flagged high behind her, hackles raised as well as a line of fur running down her spine to the base of her tail.

Kerberos blinked as he heard the thundering of hooves. More of the strange, fluffy animals? Perhaps his herd. He turned to face the sound, seeing the strangely huge Cave Deer lower his head and charge. His tail lashed behind him, lifting to his paws, and he stepped out of the way, blinking in alarm.

He could just... eat this one too, right? Where was the rest of the herd? He could feast on them-- imagine the look on Bones face. One of his mouths split into a grin, and the others went to snap-- when a voice howled through the air. Sharp. A memory of the earth breaking apart under his paws, ready to dispatch him from this realm and drag him into the cold depths of the earth...

His eyes snapped to Arkrael. Alpha Wolf. The dead sheep had Teeth. Had very sharp, very DANGEROUS Teeth. Kerberos wanted to say it wasn't him, that he hadn't-- but his paws were slick with blood, even if his muzzles were still dry.

"Ark--!" He barked, and in his fright, his magic reacted. Energy burst forth from his paws, shoving him back but also shoving the threesome away-- Arkrael, the cave deer, the dead fluffy thing. His ears laid back on all three of his heads.

"I--! Sorry! I found-- I didn't mean-- No! I didn't! No teeth! Don't!"

The creature, the beast, the enemy, he dodged. Leaving his antlers sailing through the air and hitting nothing! The stag bellowed angrily and stomped his hooves on the ground in frustration. He would avenge his brother. He would kill his murderer and get justice! If he died in the process he didn't care! So long as this creature was dead!

He heard Arkrael near him and instead of relief he felt... anger. More of it. Why hadn't she come quicker? He'd called her! He needed her help... Wynry needed her help! Irrationally he believed that if she'd come faster then perhaps everything could have been changed. Or perhaps... this canine was one of her friends? This dangerous thing? It knew her and she knew him! How was this possible?! If this was her friend then why hadn't she stopped him or trained him not to attack greater gembounds? Perhaps he was just too dangerous...

Were they all that way? Had he been a fool to trust one? To think that they could be trusted at all when all they did was thirst for blood? Dangerous. They were dangerous.

For a moment his eyes turned accusingly on Arkrael but he was distracted when a blast of energy sent him flying. He rolled across the ground and came to a stop a few feet away. He looked towards the side and saw... his brother's body! His poor fragile, broken body. That evil thing had just desecrated it! He hadn't been content with killing him! He wanted to further ruin him! It seared his heart! Broke it into pieces to see the poor creature who only wanted others to be happy to be treated in such a way.

"YOU MONSTER! YOU-- YOU-- YOU DANGEROUS, DUPLICITOUS, IGNORANT PIECE OF FILTH!" He'd never felt emotion like this. He loved hard and felt sadness just as any other. But this anger that went through his body was new and it fueled him as nothing ever had before. His hooves clattered as he rose to his feet, eyes glaring hatred at the mutt. "I WILL KILL YOU! DO YOU HEAR ME? I WANT YOUR HEAD ON A PLATTER! YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO WYNRY! HE DID NOT WANT TO HURT ANYONE AND YOU MURDERED HIM! YOU SICK PIECE OF FILTH!" He wanted him to hurt. He wanted him to suffer... His stone wanted it as well as he felt a surge of magic from it. He could feel the water inside of the dog's body... He wondered what would happen if he sucked it all out!

She could feel the burning behind her eyes. The thought of Wynry being killed was hard to bare in thought, but it wasn't anything she could focus on right now. Kerberos had responded to her presence and a blast wave shot from him and knocked her plum off her feet and sent her skidding back across the ground until she hit her shoulder into a wall. A soft cry escaped her as pain jostled her scared shoulder. Ever since Kerberos had wounded that area it had never really stopped hurting. Quickly she drew herself up to her paws, pushing the sensation away as she once again faced Kerberos. Brows furrowed as he went on in his defense. Jumbled words never finishing a sentence, but all saying the same. He didn't do it. Ears pinned back as she looked towards where Wynry was laying only a few feet away from Vazi who was now rising to his hooves. She could see no visible teeth marks anywhere, just the blood that seemed to be seeping out of his nose and mouth. Kerberos had not done this.

She swung her attention back towards the three headed beast as Vazi began to scream at him. "Vazi!" She called to him desperately, but she knew deep down in her gut he would not listen. She had never seen him so angry. The very air in the room seemed to shift and change due to his rage. She didn't know what to do as she stood practically frozen in her spot. Her shoulder felt numb, her heart felt numb... Everything felt numb. Tears were slowly welling up in her eyes and there was nothing she could do to stop it. She had only heard of a few deaths. Deaths of those she did not know so it did not really give her much to dwell upon, but this was Wynry. This was her soulmate's brother. Her brother. Confusion radiated from her as she struggled to contain her tears and focus on the happenings going on. Vazi was fixing to try and kill Kerberos and Wynry was lifely upon the ground only feet away from where she had been knocked away.

If Kerberos had not killed Wynry... then who had?

Kerberos knew he was in trouble. He knew he was, and he begged, he tried so hard, to avoid getting hurt. But there was no way to avoid it. The powerful magic happened once more-- and instead of swallowing him whole, he felt his whole body go dry. Thirst tightened his throat, and his tail... Oh, his tail felt like it was shrink wrapping around the bone. With a whimper, he continued to backpedal, trying to get away from the teeth of magic.

"NO NO NO N--!" He howled, frantically trying to dispatch a copy of himself. His throat grew hoarse, his voice dying in his throat. There wasn't enough time. He was going to die if he didn't come up with something. Something to save him. Some way he could escape. His vision spun before all six of his eyes, but he was sure that a copy of himself materialized before him... Or maybe 5 copies. He couldn't tell. He felt so sick, so dry, so...

It was the worst thing he had ever felt. He just had to escape. So the pup turned tail and ran, pushing his clone at Vazi. The copy of the dog snarled and lunged at Vazi, teeth snapping, but the magic wasn't truly real-- it was just empty energy, energy that couldn't hurt the deer. Not that he wanted to hurt the deer anyway.

He just wanted to escape Arkrael and her powerful, angry magic.

So he ran, and ran, and ran.

And ran some more.

Sickness began to roil around in his stomach as he watched the creature struggle desperately to keep hold of the ledge. But it had already been done and he watched as it cried out, bleating and screaming as it crumbled away. Louie watched on emotionless.... Senseless. For a brief second he had almost lingered in an ethereal state before he was gone from his vision, the shrieks as he fell and then the crack of bone as he landed at the bottom. Immediately, Louie began to panic, he reeled backwards and began to shriek and howl himself. A murderer, he had become a murderer.

Exhilaration and excitement were drowned by the reality that he had taken his first life. Should it only spiral down from here as he became the senseless murderer within Origin cave? slouching backwards, he took a few shaky breaths trying to steady himself. This would be fine. It was fine despite the continuous ringing of those cries... Those desperate attempts to try and remain upright. All it was was a death... Mortality was something they all suffered and he knew how one could just erase a creature from existence. Everything was fine. It was fine.

Voices drifted up from below and he paced towards the edge, his ears flat against his head. Making sure not to accidentally walk too far as his peripherals were off, he patted the ground in front of him with his right paw trying to get a sense for where the ledge began. Peering down, he noticed a monster, a three-headed creature he hadn't yet had the pleasure of meeting and a deer. Chaos soon unfolded as Vazi's accusations rang out, echoing off the walls. Another canine joined them completing the trio as they almost attacked Kerberos. It sickened him to think, but the chaos below was giving him a rush. He had caused them to tear apart at the seems and none were the wiser.

Aware that he needed to get out, he merely watched as they chased off the three-headed bow and he scowled. Fuck, now he'd have to try and slink out without being caught. Not really sure what else to do, he crept back to the wall to get a good guide across to the other side which was the entrance to Monoceros. Shivering and shaking with the adrenalin, the good feelings and the bad, he began at a slow lope before developing into a panicked canter as he tried to get away from this place. He'd made his first kill, it had opened up the reality that all he was was a monster.

But what he found most sickening was the enjoyment he felt. A grin crept across his face and he held back a laugh as he galloped through the tunnel to get away from the pair left with the corpse of his cloud-beast friend.

Success! He could feel the liquid draining from the canine, pouring towards himself. It brought him great success, it fueled him and made him feel powerful! He wanted to take all that he could and leave the dog weakened and dead! Then, he would be fulfilled. This ache in his heart would end and he would be happy! No... Never happy. But the ache would be soothed if he could just have his revenge.

Only that didn't happen.

The dog sent a copy of himself towards the stag and his hold on the magic stopped. He dropped his antlers and lunged, unafraid. No. His brother had been killed and death didn't phase him. Perhaps if he died he would be united with Wynry again and he could be happy. His antlers swiped into the pseudo-dog and it dissipated. A fake. A copy to allow the other canine to escape. He would have given chase but Wynry's body. He didn't want to leave it... He couldn't. He would guard the lamb in life and in death. No one would touch his body again.

The stag's head dropped in defeat, his stone glistened and changed from its angry red to a sad blue. Without anger in his heart he had nothing. Nothing but his depression. His gaze turned to the lamb as he walked over. His forelegs folded then his rear as he lay down next to Wynry and sat his head on top of his cold flank.

This was his fault... All his fault. If he hadn't been lagging behind with... with her he would have been on time. He could have saved the lamb but he'd been distracted. Ever since she'd come into his life he had been distracted. He hadn't spent as much time with his brother. Hadn't been there for him. Had neglected him. Now he was paying the price. The ultimate price. Tears slid from underneath his closed eyes.

Why... Why did this have to happen? He didn't even want to go on. What was the point when the one you lived for was dead.

Arkrael could do nothing but watch in horror. It wasn't long before Kerb was turning to flee after he had sent a mirror image at Vazi. The stag had soon given up after that and she watched as he moved over to where Wynry lay. Ears pinned back as she tried to keep her tears at bay. It wasn't time for her to mourne. Slowly she walked over to them. "Vazi..." She murmured gently, lowering her head down to softly nuzzle at his cheek. She didn't know what to say to him. There was nothing she could even begin to think of that would fix this for her love. All she could honestly do was try and be there for him. She circled around the two, looking Wynry over as she did so.

There had to be an exaplanation. Something to show there was foul play. She knew in her heart Kerberos had not done this, but Vazi would surely not listen. She had no doubt he would blame Kerberos as Kerb had been the one he seen over Wynry. Quietly she sniffed around, inching closer to Wynry to see if his wool would carry the scents of anything or anyone that may have been around. When all she could smell was Vazi and hints of Kerberos a frown marred over her features. Slowly she lifted her gaze up towards the cliffs above. "Vazi... He had to have fallen.... We should check up on the cliffs to see who was up there," she murmured turning her gaze back to Vazi and the motionless Wynry.

Why? Why had this happened? His body was cold now, nothing like what he was used to from that bubbly young lamb. If only he could turn back time... If only... He felt that nuzzle and the softly spoken words. His body stiffened and he felt something bubble up in his gut. Anger. Guilt. Terrible emotions that burned away pieces of his heart. Her. She had helped this happen. She had distracted him. It was her fault. Now she was speaking again. Check up on the cliff? Why should they do that? To make him forget about the real murderer? So she could protect her friend? Oh, she would probably go find him later and be buddy buddy with him! Oh! He bet she would just love for him to follow her plans again.

Not anymore.

The stag didn't move, didn't say anything at first. Just remained at his brother's side. "I bet that is exactly what you want..." His voice was low, barely audible from his throat until he lifted his head and teared hateful, tear-laden eyes at her. "I know what happened... It seems like you are in denial because your friend is the one who committed this act. As far as I am concerned... You are just as much to blame as he is because you are a... d-distraction..." His voice hurt his own heart. It was cold. It hurt... It was terrible but it was the truth in his eyes.

Vazi's words caught her full attention and her searching gaze quickly averted to her partner. Brows furrowed in confusion as his words rung through her ears. "What?" She uttered in stark confusion. His eyes lifted to her and a knot quickly formed in her throat as it felt like a sharpened stick struck her right in the chest. The hatred in his eyes shocked her, confused her entirely and she was unsure on how to respond to it. "In denial?" Her voice shook as she once again repeated his words. Why was he saying such things?

"This is not my fault," She struggled to keep her voice steady as her ears quickly pinned back against her skull. '...and neither was it Kerb's...' She didn't even think to speak those words of Kerberos. Not yet, especially not right now. To be called a distraction and flat out blamed for this happening was harsh. Striking her right in the heart as it twisted and clenched with a pain she was not entirely sure of.

"Vazi, I....please. I didn't do this. We have to find out who did... We can't just blame the first person we see...." 'Or second...' a frown quickly marred over her features as she took a few hesitant steps towards Vazi, attempting to reach out to him.
