So Fulgur might have lost track of where the tunnel towards Ursa was. That was very annoying, but it does give him more time to search for gifts for the Tailor... maybe. Who knows.

On his four wings, he soars over the waves of Leo's bay. The lights in the cave have gone dark, leaving Fulgur a dark shadow lit only by his own stripes. The pink glow is cast down on the water, and the Flock, only a swarm of black shapes and pink eyes, flutter behind him.

He doesn't notice immediately the fellow greater on a sea stack that he glides past, disturbing them with a rush of wind and the flapping of many small wings.

In the darkness, Cadenza still manages to stand out. Their pale coloration is rather visible in the darkness compared to other colorations. But they have never seen a being that literally glowed. The being was shaped almost like them when their amber gaze fixed on the form. More wings, perhaps, but...

"Wait, please! Are you one of my siblings?" They called out in their musical voice, then paused briefly, realized that might not be clear enough. "One of Dread's children?" They added for clarification.

The being was smaller than them, maybe younger? They hadn't thought they had any younger siblings, but they had been asleep for a while. Or perhaps that was the full-grown size of their maybe-sibling?

The white scales of Cadenza flashed by too fast from Fulgur to notice, but their voice did get their attention. They spread out their wings, banking and coming back around to hover next to the stack.

He regards Cadenza with his six eyes. Large wings, and a delicate set of antlers. It would be intimidating, if it didn't clearly speak with a soft and calm voice. "Siblings?" he parrots, thinking about it. He had been alone when he hatched, only his own Flock for company. "I... Don't think so? Who is Dread?" he asks back, now very curious.

This maybe-sibling had so many eyes! He would have reminded them of the scary Valkhounds if they were not already thinking of this being was a physically younger dragon. Sure, he had more wings than their dragon-dad or them, but he still had a sort of vaguely draconic look to him.

"Dread is a dragon, and he is one of my dads. If you do not know his name, you must not be a sibling," They were briefly a bit disappointed.

But, overall, they were still very cheery about meeting this young dragon-ish being. "My name is Cadenza. What is your name?" They asked, voice warm and lyrical as ever.

Cadenza glanced at the flock with curiosity. "Do your friends have names?" The antlered dragon inquired with genuine curiosity.

"No, I do not know this Dread. But if he is your father, then he must be nice. Since you seem nice, too," he offers, doing his best to smile.

He lets himself settle down, landing on the edge of the sea stack and clinging on with his claws. It's a little crowded up here with the two of them, but he can manage. "It's nice to meet you Cadenza. I am... Fulgur. And these are my Flock."

Some of them flitter around Cadenza, inspecting them with a chorus of peeps. "I... have not named them indivudually. But they are mine, and I am theirs."

"He is very nice!" Cadenza agreed cheerily in their musical voice, proud to have their dragon-dad as one of their dads. "Both my dads are," They added with sincere adoration.

They would have ducked their head as it registered that this maybe-dragon had also called them nice, but they stopped themself from the automatic response, not wanting to hit any creature with their antlers accidentally. Still, their head tilted down the slightest.

It was hard to know what to say to compliments, at least for them.

Still, a distraction quickly presented itself. "It is a pleasure to meet you and your Flock, Fulgur," They earnestly told the younger being.

Cadenza welcomed the presence of the Flock, being very careful not to accidentally hurt any of them. "They are yours and you are theirs?" They considered aloud. "That is a sound sentiment," The deer-dragon decided. "Mutual connection."

Orange eyes regard Fulgur thoughtfully. "Are you a dragon? You look like a dragon, of sorts."

Fulgur does wonder exactly what a dad is, beyond someone you know. But if Cadenza speaks so highly of them, then surely it is a good thing. "You have two? Interesting."

He is thankfully out of range to be stuck by her antlers, atleast for now. The Flock decide Cadenza seems nice enough, a few of them settling on her antlers for a moment before returning to Fulgur. "Yes... They were there when I hatched... and I feel like they're meant for me."

The alien glances back at himself. Smooth skin, unlike Cadenza's scales. "I don't know. I am me, but that is all I know."

"I mostly take after my dragon-dad, Dread, but I have much of the coloration of my other dad. He's a deer named Pride," Cadenza was happy to talk about their family, the most important thing to them. "I also have my deer-dad's magic!"

"If they were there when you hatched, are they family?" Cadenza suggested, curious at this. It didn't sound like Fulgur had any parents, which was odd to them. But maybe some gembounds just... existed?

"Well, even if you are not a dragon, you could be an honorary dragon still. You are very dragon-like!" They cheerily told him.

Fulgur is more than willing to be patient and listen. Cadenza's earnest demeanor lured him in, like a moth to the flame. "Family... Family would be nice, from what you're telling me."

He tilts his head, looking at some of the surrounding Flock. "Are they my family? It seems reasonable enough... perhaps they are." That sentiment seemed so nice.

"Maybe... we could be family? If you're a dragon and I'm an almost-dragon?"
