Vision shifted... changed.

The wash of Spire's magic, shimmering rainbow turquoise, no longer shone over bare rock, but over shattered bones. This bone lay among others of its kind, the gemstone prominent on what appeared to be a jaw, before it had been broken. This jaw appeared to be almost avian, but large--and around it, a few creamy brown-and-white feathers scudded away in a breeze across the rock. The body was not fresh, yet pieces lingered: a simple, straight claw; a tuft of similarly-colored fur.
