Cadenza is careful not to move as the feline clings to them. They have no desire at all to accidentally squish Mossie, after all.

"You are welcome," The antlered dragon earnestly tells the cat. "I was happy to help. I only hope that it truly is able to help you."

Afraid as they are of squishing Mossie if they move, they try to express warm affection by shifting the temperature itself to be warm.

It only heats up a little bit, but a little bit is still good. "Are you leaving now...?" They ask, their voice somewhat forlorn.

Mossie purred shakily. "It already has. Even if the entity isn't real or doesn't call back or whatever, just...being able to talk to someone about it, and practice my magic, helped a ton."

The warmth makes her feel safe and comforted. She attempts to summon fungi in her pawsteps once more--fungi she knows will be tasty. And summon them she does--all shapes and sizes and colors, a veritable garden. She'll be able to see the fungal garden from quite a bit away, hopefully, marking the entrance to the altar's pit. She plucks one particularly tasty-smelling one and offers it to Cadenza.

"Truth to be told, I don't know," she confessed. "I just need to do a little delivery before I contact the entity, and that is a journey I must take alone. But I'm tired...maybe we could keep practicing for a bit, if that's okay?"

"I am glad, then," Cadenza sincerely tells Mossie. Though they are curious about this entity, they decide they do not want to poke at a wound by asking about such a topic.

Cadenza carefully accepts the kind offering of fungi. It is a different sort of taste than they are used to, but not a bad taste, they decide.

They are happy when Mossie says she will stay for a bit more and is also willing to practice magic alongside them. "That would be great!"

In an attempt to display their happiness, their magic once more reaches for the same spell as previous, trying to get the temperature even more cozy.

Once again, it only climbs a degree or two, but Cadenza is content.

The warmth that spreads through the air is pleasant in the chill of Orion, and she purrs again. "I'm glad you're here, Cadenza," she said earnestly. "I couldn't bear to be alone with my thoughts right now."

She attempts to strengthen the fungal garden once more, focusing on sprouting fruit from the mycelial swarm.

It fails, because her magicka is sapping, but it's the thought that counts.
