Hmm.
Kai prodded at the glowing moss. It seemed... suitable to Veil, somehow. That gift-giving stranger who'd popped up a cave away had fascinated her, and she was pretty sure she'd seen Veil heading in just after she'd left.

She wanted to turn up with a present for the Prince of Void. A good present.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
She shook herself, and plodded entirely ungracefully to the nearest sheet of glowing moss stuck to the cave wall. It was luminescent, a soft blue, and she tore it away very carefully with her teeth.

Then she set it down at her feet. "How do I do this?" she asked, and it might have to an observer seemed rhetorical at first. Until Kai stood staring at it, for awhile, as if expecting a response.

When the moss did not in fact answer her, Kai set about nosing it into a sort of giant necklace shape. She'd have to grow it, of course, to stay that way, but first she wanted it set in a way that she could easily ring around Veil's neck, as a weird sort of necklace.

Excellent. It had mostly wound itself together, securing itself as strong as rope.

Still glowing, too. Good. Great, in fact.

Kai took a breath, and placed a hoof gently against the thin, glowing wreath. Could she imbue enough life into it that it'd just... stay this way? Forever?

Well-... She could certainly try.

Magic swelled, then crested, then faded, like a seaside breaker coming and going. Not that Kai had ever seen a breaker. Or even the sea. But it... felt like it had worked, at least, so there was that. So, scooping the wreath up around her own head (to dangle awkwardly off her face, just before her antler nubs) she set off, back the way she'd come, hustling to catch up with Veil.
