Rising sunlight (or.. rocklight?) reflected across smooth, geometrical surfaces. The large chrysalis was so void of color that it seemed to hold all of them, its edges blinding and uncomfortable to look at. Unsurprising considering the size of it, the crackle emitted from within was loud. There was no pause between the first crack and the ones that followed, splintering the entirety of the stone. Soon after, out came a hissing ball of wet fur and thrashing limbs. Contrary to where he came, Erohl was tiny and unassuming. He bounced up to his paws, tail waving with unrestrained, feral anger.
The little marten was very much uncomfortable with this situation. If he knew any obscenities- or how to talk, for that matter- he'd probably be spewing them. Still, he managed to express this emotion through the nonstop hissing being expelled from deep within his chest. He came out hissing, and he'd probably go out the same way. Erohl took a quick second to glance around, what he saw becoming perfectly engrained in his mind. This site is now one he'd never forget. The way the light had just begun to appear above his head, how it bounced off the ground and off the dampness he'd come from. The rodent sat with an audible squelch, and began licking his shoulder of the fluid, huffing with clear annoyance at the world. For being born, one could guess.

The hissing and cracking of a splitting chrysalis wasn't one Reverend recognized immediately, but the sounds were more than enough to draw his attention. Clambering over rocks, it found himself peering down at a tumbling bundle of fur, freshly free from its former prison.
Reverend would watch as Erohl set about cleaning himself from the fluids of the chrysalis, and while he did Reverend would think about to when it was a freshly hatched little thing, so enamored with everything.
It would be probably for the best he helped this Gembound get its bearings, the way it's parent had for them. "Hello there," it calls out from the rocks above, peering down with blue eyes. "Welcome to the caves, little one."

Erohl’s little head shot up with surprising speed at the rustle of footsteps and a voice echoing against the rocks surrounding him. The rodent gave this winged beast an awful, scrutinizing look, a hiss already building in his belly yet again. If Reverend- or any gembound, for that matter- would gather anything from this next interaction, it’d probably be that Erohl is unpleasant from the get-go.
”Cave?” He scoffed, merely repeating what he’d heard. Whatever it meant, he decided he didn’t like it. In the raspy, grating manner that his voice had adopted, Erohl yawned loudly. Quickly, he decided he didn’t actually care. About the word nor the animal. He promptly went back to licking his sleek fur, peering at it closely and enjoying its color. This made him pause for a moment. Fur.. colors.. he was pretty. He then looked up at the birdish canine. They could be considered pretty, too. And much cleaner.
”I like.” He growled, clambering up some of the smaller rocks to get a closer look at the feathers lining most of its body. Mm.. yes… he DID like those. ”Erohl!” He cried after, his primitive version of an introduction. It wasn’t hard to gather that he was really interested in the feathers if one followed his eyes.
