CAVE STATUS
QUESTS/EVENTS
Autumn arrives, subdued by the caves' depths. Skittering leaves, thick fog or drifting mist, and cooler temperatures provide a crisp fall atmosphere. The spectres of Andromeda drift in and out of visibility, and pumpkins begin to spread beneath foliage shifting into hues of amber and flame. Strange whispering can be heard at the edges of empty tunnels, and the Carnival seems more boisterous than usual...

She had wandered to a rather beautiful land, a huge room that made her feel rather small in comparison. Her eyes widened slightly as she let out a soft gasp, looking around for a moment. Slowly she wandered in, lifting her head to look around until she found herself at the base of the water, glancing down to look at her reflection in the water.
She smiled softly, enjoying the area as she lowered her head to lap at the cool liquid. It was beautiful here, the roar of the waterfalls in the distance putting her mind at ease much like white noise would.
After lapping at the water for some time, she lifted her head, licking her lips for a moment before heading out, intent to explore a little of this new, beautiful area that she already didn't want to leave.
It was so hot. The heat emerged from the caves. The air surrounding him was humid and misty. The masked pup kept swatting at the air, as if something kept messing with him.
Both of his eyes were watery. Perhaps from exhaustion or the humidity. Belvadair wasn't sure. The one thing he was sure about, was how relaxing it felt to dip his paws into the water. (He wasn't usually a wolf for the humid weather.) Belvadiar would rather snuggle up in the cold against the cavern's walls.
Dipping his paws into the water, it was warm to the touch. Not as relieving as he thought it could be. A soft grunt. But he pushed forward, kicking off the stones. Pushing into the waters, creating his own waves. His fur stuck close together.
Ears pinned against his wet fur, though as he swam. But the water weighed him down far too much. Much less than what he was able to handle. From there he yelped in panic. Fractiously kicking his paws as the waters threaten to push him downwards.
"Oh! No.. Nope! No!"
Calling for any sort of support, from his power or from anything that could hear him screeching.

She lifted her head, licking her muzzle for a moment before turning to leave, figuring she would continue her exploration for a bit and maybe, from there, find something for dinner later. However, she had barely just gotten one step away when she heard the scream of another. Instantly she froze, taking a moment to try and understand what was happening. There was no point in running in without knowing what was going on, that wouldn't help anyone.
Using her senses, she narrowed her eyes, barely detecting the frantic heartbeat of another, one under the water. They were drowning, struggling to tread water, and she knew with no one else around, they'd likely die. Taking a deep breath, she rushed into the water, using her legs to kick and keep herself afloat. Thankfully, she was a good swimmer, though clearly not everyone could say the same.
She aimed to grab at his scruff as he dipped under the water once more, yanking him upwards if she was able to get a hold. If not, she would continue to try until she grabbed ahold of anything. Then, and only then would she begin to drag both of their asses back to the shore.
Ears pinned against his skull, he pushed forward. Frantically trying to kick forward. Anything to push forward, to swim. But he was failing every step of the way.
Teeth embedded into his flesh. Not hard or painful, but enough he felt a tug to help drag him above the waters.
With his effort pushing forward, and with her helping him. Belvadair felt the safety of rock under his toes. Prying himself upwards to leap forward. Heavy wheezing, his chest caved. For a moment he dry heaved.
Before his stomach churned, water spilled out of his jaws. Belvadair threw up what was in his system. Mostly water and bile onto the warm cracks of the stones.

Fucking hell. Why didn't she think before she did something stupid? It would have been so much easier just to let him drown and go about her own day. But no, she had to go and be a good person and now she was soaked to the bone, exhausted and swallowed a bit more water than she would have liked.
She coughed softly as she pushed herself to her feet, groaning softly at the feeling of her limbs screaming at her. A quick shake got the excess droplets off of her fur before she turned to the man she just saved, taking a step closer to sniff at him. She would be really fucking pissed if he died after all this.
She pulled away from his vomit before pushing her nose against his cheek, trying to make sure the man wasn't feverish at all. She wasn't a healer, she couldn't do squat, so she just had to sit herself down and wait patiently for him to finish coughing up his lungs.

There were no words to explain how Belvadair felt. Being saved..by another. When he clearly had it. He was fine. (He didn't have it. Clearly.)
Dark ears flickered back and forth. Slowly his eye would readjust, but his bad one. It ached. A stinging sensation. One he grunted, for the first time, it watered. The heat from the water caused his eye ducts to trickle down his face.
Body trembling, he pulled his power towards him. Trying to gain that better feel. It was successful. His eye didn't sting nearly as bad. Feeling a little less nauseous, his head jerked to the other dark wolf before him.
"Are you nuts!?"
He managed to cough up. Belvadair's eye narrowed down at her.

She had been checking on him, sniffing and lingering closer in an attempt to check for wounds and other issues when suddenly he turned and began to yell at her. Without really thinking, she snapped at his nose, growling low and dangerous. Me? She scoffed softly and aimed to smack his nose with her paw a few times.
You ungrateful little ass... She huffed and narrowed her eyes at him, shifting to sit beside him. Next time I'll leave you to drown. She continued to glare at him, but couldn't help the slight flicker of concern. Now if you're done snapping at your savior, stand up so I can make sure you're not going to collapse. Her nose would press against his side, aiming to help push him to his feet.
"I can help myself thank you very much." Belvadair huffed, ears pinned back in an offensive manner. His gemstone eye drained. Dark paws kicked up to scratch his ear. Water had apparently gotten stuck in there.
Belvadair pulled himself upwards to stand on his paws. "Well I gotta look at you, make sure you aren't going to drown from a bug in the water." A scoff. Oh how painful it was to have to search over someone else that he didn't know. A swift shake of his fur to get rid of the leftover water before he hopped his way over towards her.
"Unless you'd rather I play fish again?" An eyebrow raised. Part of him had an idea to toss her in the waters. But he wouldn't dare push his luck.
I can help myself thank you very much. She snorted, rolling her eyes slightly at his words. Yeah, sure buddy, that's why were you coughing up water. She raised an eyebrow with a small, teasing smirk. It was clear she was enjoying poking fun at him. Unless of course you enjoy water in your lungs.
She tensed slightly as he moved closer, not snapping at him but not used to someone so close to her either. She rather enjoyed her personal space. I'm fine. She muttered as she looked up at him, though she reluctantly stayed still and let him look at her.
A small chuckle escaped her as she rolled her eyes once more. Sweetheart, you play fish again and I'm leaving you there. She warned, though her words were mean, more so teasing.
Sure it is. It's exactly why he spent his time coughing up water. Maybe he enjoyed it a bit too much. But he made a glance over her, to check and make sure there wasn't any stench of blood. From what he could tell…. She seemed fine.
Not unlike her attitude though. There was no fixing that.
"Oh yeah? If I wanted to be a fish, I'd do this." The darker canine pup would leap from the stones, jumping into the shallow waters. His head turned back, where he'd give a toothy smirk. Paws dipped into the shallow bank. He rested against a rock that warmed up his toes.
With a swift chomp, he went to take a bite of water.
