We have whipped up some pixels based on the suggestions below, so please cast your vote for the icon that you think represents Origin the best!

Help Design a Favicon for Origin!
About time we decided to design a favicon for Origin! But instead of staff deciding on a design, we thought we'd let you, the community, choose what our favicon will look like! What is a favicon, though? You can read up on them real fast right here.

So, what are you waiting for? Give us a hand! Just leave an idea of what you think should be our favicon, and if you want to, maybe even make your own! You may make as many suggestions as you'd like! Our only requirements for making your own for us to use is it must be pixel art and it must be 16x16/32x32 in size! We will award ʡ 10 to the user whose idea becomes the favicon! Once the deadline comes, we'll narrow down the choices to the best ideas, or the most symbolic for the site, and make pixels... then we will poll you guys for what you'd like to see as our favicon!

The deadline before we narrow down the options and poll is 9/16/15 @ 11:59 PM CST!

- A gemstone chrysalis, considering all the babbies hatch out of them
- Deer Dad's red gem OR a smol deer dad face?
- The spire

- Antlers, for deer dad (but hey, I have a bias *wink* )
- A cave opening
- An O for Origin
- A smaller version of the gem '50 posts' acheivement (or any of the achievements that look like crystals)

-- A paw print or something
-- Pixelated little blue sparkles to symbolize Magic... Or... Something.

- Something like the Illuminate Orb but Blue
- A swirl of blue and red
- The fungi icon
- A tooth/claw or something

I was thinking an "o" with a gembound hatching inside, or an O "eye" with a little stalagmite or stalagtite as the pupil?

The embryo is kinda hard to see on mine though :|



As Clover said, maybe just an "O" would do? Esp. if in a fitting font (the one used on the site) and maybe with a glow or something magical like that?

Edit--or maybe something like origin's name, inside an O? Like this, only better please xD

16x16 is so small! Even when u make a 32x32 Pixel art, shrinking it will make it blur D:
So Favicons are really hard to make! But I really wanted to do an O with a small little embryo in it. So I figured simple is best, especially if we want it to be clear and recognizable.
Dragon you and I had the same idea and I noticed just moments before finishing up my entry x'D
One with 'fluid' and one without

I think a gem-looking O would be best. Like the O in [img]/images/originbutton1.png[/img] but more like the "RI" is in this word.

Well. Origin is about animals, gems, mystery and magic. So, I think a cool favicon would be a blue gem with a question mark surrounded by magical sparks. \_{°]_/ Jsst an idea :)
