I say "project," it's more free RP.
So in the interests of providing more random encounters & development for others, I will be posting some AW threads here & there. Some I'll have to wait until my chars are out of plots, but most will be very
time-vague. This is so you can jump in whenever you want in terms of your own timelines.
The purpose of these threads is just to RP, but mainly
to provide some development to others' characters. My focus will be on challenging your chars' boundaries and prompting development, if I can. With that in mind, here's some idea of what I can provide, so just poke me if you're interested in a thread, or jump into one of the AW ones I'll be dotting around the caves.
Beast - Beast is a tiny, tormented carnivore being held captive as an abused, malnourished slave. While his plot-line requires that he stay captive, for now (he's generally guarded by the herbivores that keep him hostage), you can easily run into him or arrange a meeting for a hell of a heart-wrench. If you have a carnivore that you want to make hate herbivores, or a herbivore whose hatred of carnivores you want to throw into doubt, this is the guy to see!
Black - Black is probably my char least-liable to provide development for your own. Characters used to being able to provoke & get emotional responses will find a cold brick wall of frustration here, though. I may create threads with him seeking truths within the caves, so treasure- and knowledge- hunters may find him of interest!
Dark - With the owl, your char will be faced with someone adorable, fearless, and overly curious. If this will have any impact on them, feel free to join in. Your char's patience or sympathy limits may be tested. If you want to attack him, he's a relatively helpless blind critter liable to lash out with horrific nightmare mindfuck-imagery in self-defense; you can harm him, I'd just prefer he not die in these threads.
Current AW Thread: The Blind Seer (this one is also a solo thread, so just jump in any time!)
Dragon - This alligator is confident and relatively tough/strong, as well as paternal. Very young characters can encounter him for a scare or some care, maybe learning that scary =/= dangerous (to them, at least). Attacking him would just be a good solid fight, I think. Others might question his philosophical motives in guiding the Children of Rot, provided they can get him to talk about it, providing some good moral conflict. Ambassadorial-type RP is also available, if representatives from other groups wish to come say hello.
Feral - The dingo is quite fierce toward prey-type Gembound, and non-verbal. She is playful toward other carnivores. For carnivores, you'll probably just find her boring, or a challenge if you try and teach her language. Larger, lone prey animals, ones that aren't too powerful, may find an irritating and possibly dangerous attacker on their heels, while smaller prey animals may find themselves in a fight for their lives (while she might aim to kill, I will
not).
Giggle - Probably your best chance of good development. Giggle is always open for private or AW threads, and as Canis's resident fortune-teller, she can challenge what your character thinks of their future, or give fortunetelling-style answers to any questions they may have. Knowledge of her is widespread, so you can just come to her bone pit & ask for a fortune. Alternatively, characters wishing to discuss theories of Origin Cave, or young Gembound looking for post-hatching guidance, can find Giggle useful.
Khloros -
I'm not sure yet. This space to be filled in once he's a bit free of his current plot, which both has him locked at the moment and might drastically change his personality.
