QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Canis was freed of darkness once more, but Giggle seemed to have wandered off on her own... leaving Azazel all alone to lead the Bonebound. He thought he may as well gather the pieces of what used to be... some sort of a group. He hadn't seen much of his clan. How ironic was that thought, when Azazel himself hadn't been around too much. It was time to bring the clan back together. To strengthen the bonds once more, and perhaps seek alliance with other groups in Origin Caves. Beyond Maji Walezi, the Bonebound had no allies. The threat of the Merrymen seemed to have vanished entirely. Surely there must be more groups in the Caves?
Either way, Azazel felt it was about high time for a festival... a time of great celebration. Perhaps, finally, there was nothing wrong with the Caves.
Puffing out his chest with a deep sigh, The Bone King would leave his perch behind in search of his classic perch, the one near the west wall... where he had first called together his clan. Landing with a soft click! of talons, the Ave would first allow his gaze to sweep across the room. The room seemed as bare of life as the bones were of flesh. He hoped to change that. He hoped that perhaps Canis would thrive with life once more.
So, Azazel spread his great wings of charcoal and flapped them once, turning his head back and giving a cry that could summon even the gods. Then he waited to explain.
OOC | It's with great joy that I'm announcing that I will be returning to the Origin roleplay world, and Azazel decided that it would be a great idea to kick it off with a FESTIVAL! All of Origin Caves (excluding known murderers and Merrymen members) is invited, and we must prepare! So this is how it will go:
Characters will have until November 13th @ 11:59 PM CST to post at least once in this thread, where Azazel will then explain the Festival in great detail... and a small contest may be on the rise! (Tagged all of Bonebound's active members, but all are welcome to join this thread!
Daddy wanted everyone to get together, and so it wasn't long before Kerberos (who had been guarding the entrance to Canis as usual) had hunted her down and brought her home. She had been perching on the great beast's head while he walked her back into Canis, but then she took flight awkwardly and landed with a puff of dust. A squeak managed to squeeze its way out of her throat before she darted off ahead, finding her Daddy not too far away.
She hoped Kerberos wouldn't tattle on her for wandering off into Orion again, but she had been off playing with Cure! Surely that was okay-- it wasn't like she had wandered all the way off to Monoceros like she did the first time she snuck out, ehehe. Not that anyone knew about that! It was her little secret, and the little mute that she was meant that no one could make her fess up.
Anyway, Ashtoreth bolted right at Aza'zel, scrambling up on to his perch and even tried to get all up into her Daddy's feathers. He was so fluffy and lovely! She had no idea what proper meeting etiquette was and she didn't care, either.
Kerberos was a good boy. He had heard his leader's call (though why Aza'zel was leader and not Giggle was beyond him) and he had promptly gone to find the troublemaker who always snuck or usually begged her way past him with her adorable... chick eyes?? And he brought her right back.
Now that his job was done, the massive dog sat at the gathering area and stared at Aza'zel with all six watchful pink eyes, waiting for the bird to say what he wanted to say.
Woof woof woof woof. The dog has arrived and he is a good boy. He sat quietly and did what he was supposed to do. Woof woof woof woof.

Liora had already been waiting in Canis when her father made the call. The young birb was eager to explore the caves, but she found her wants divided: half of her wished to stay here in Canis and learn how to be a good ruler like her father was, she wanted to know everything there was to know about leading and being a King of the Bonebound and bossing everyone around, and she thought maybe since Giggle was kind of gone, Liora could take her place, but she didn't really know where to start. The other half had an insatiable wander lust to explore and learn more about everything beyond her home. She knew that her sister Ashtoreth had gotten a head start on learning about the caves (about which Liora had expressed multiple times that it was unfair - why did she get to hatch early, how come Liora spent so much time in her chrysalis, also why did Ashtoreth look so cool like a little fuzzy noodle instead of Liora, because that obviously made it easier to explore, since Liora was restricted by her wings and waddling everywhere on her feet was undignified). Admittedly, she was a little salty about her sister (though she still loved her dearly), so she had yet to actually engage in any exploration.
She'd spied her father soar in and take his place on his favored perch. She fancied sitting on it sometimes, and when he was gone, she actually planted her rump on the perch and gazed around and pretended to be him. Thankfully, she was busy doing other things (like making up new rules that she would implement if she was the King of the Bonebound) so she needn't face the embarrassment of her father walking in on her pretending to be him. When she saw him, and subsequently heard his summonings, she ruffled her wings and launched forward on her widespread wings. Liora was hardly fully grown, and at this point she was about half the size of Krakarak and still covered in soft baby down, so she looked more like a flying piece of fluff than an elegant birb. But babies could pretend, right?
"Krak krak! What's daddy doing?" She crowed, fluttering down to the floor in front of him. The shining amethyst beak opened and clicked curiously, her head cocked to the side while a pair of wide, gleaming eyes stared up at him. She hadn't long before the great big three-headed dog came lumbering in with her sister in tow, and Liora opened her wings and hopped to the side in time to see Ashtoreth run to her daddy's perch and try to snuggle all up in his feathers. "HEY!" Liora screeched, fluttering up to the perch after her sister. "Ashy get down from there! That's the King perch! You aren't gonna be King, I am! Get off!" The babe whined, beating her wings around the perch and trying to grab at Ashtoreth with her talons. She didn't intend to hurt her sister, only... to pull her off... and maybe throw her on the ground... so that Liora could sit on the perch instead...
Macawi pranced along the tunnels like always, singing a song that was happy and sad at the same time. “I walk ten thousand miles, ten thousand miles to see you. And every gasp of breath, I grabbed it just to find you…” Voices and smells weaved through the air towards her as she continued to sing. She sniffed curiously, picking up the pace. “I climbed up every hill to get to you. I wandered ancient lands to hold just you…” The little coyote rounded the corner and looked around with bright, curious eyes at the new area of the Cave. Anytime she found a new place she’d never been in before, it was like opening a present. Every day was Christmas for her – not that she knew what Christmas was.
Macawi had never seen a room with so many bones in it before… She wished she had her bag for carrying things now more than ever. She’d have to get on that! But her eyes soon alighted on the group of creatures farther into the room. For a moment, she thought the giant, fluffy thing was Dragon (Baratheon), but she immediately realized it had three heads. And Dragon certainly did not have three heads. Hmm… Interesting.
She had heard the summoning that had echoed through the tunnel, and came charging in happily, tail a-wagging like mad. “And every single step of the way, I pay-hey-hey-hey-hey. Every single night and day, I searched for you…” The coyote pranced right up the group, staring up at the giant bird on his pedestal, and the two smaller birds who were playing around him. A family, she assumed. How cute. She sat down right next to the massive three-headed dog, not scared in the least. “Macawi’s name is Macawi!” she said cheerfully, breaking out of her singing. “She has heard your call!”
Macawi is always wearing a headdress, unless otherwise stated. See her Profile for a pic of it. Assume parts of it are Baubled.
Macawi is always carrying a largish brown satchel with her, unless otherwise stated, full of random trinkets. See her Profile for a pic of it.

Sis was already squawking at her and Ashtoreth simply rolled her eyes. What a big bossy silly fluff! Ash was gonna curl up with Daddy if she wanted to-- but Liora kept squawking on and the noodle got a better idea. The devilish mustelid flashed a toothy grin at her sister before wriggling her butt and giving a great flap of her wings.
She lunged from the perch, trying to pounce on her sister. Yet as she went to jump, the classic feline (or in this case, ferret) gif seemed to come to life. Her jump was completely miscalibrated and as she went to jump her paws slipped out from under her. Her wings did a good job at getting her butt airborne, but the rest of her? Promptly fell with a scruffle of feathers into a huge lump at the bottom of the perch.
At this point, Ash would probably have started to whine and cry, but instead all she could do was just huff and curl up, shaking from the stupidity of her attempt. She didn't dare look her sister in the eyes, and instead looked up imploringly at her Daddy.

Ashtoreth attempts Other ( POUNCE and pin her sis :D )
The small lammergeier hybrid fluttered around her father's perch and the fuzzy noodle that had cuddled up to him, trying to pull her off to clear up that space so that maybe Liora could sit there and snuggle herself into his breast instead. She wanted that warmth, and she definitely wanted to be able to sit there and look down at the Gembounds that were gathering before them. Mostly because it would make her feel kind of like she was the King, despite not having to say anything - but, lets be honest, if she knew the reason why everyone was gathering, she'd definitely push her father to let her speak. Her sister had suddenly turned to her and Liora backed off, beating her wings a few times as Ashtoreth grinned - in that second, Liora knew what was coming for her.
Liora turned to make her great escape, reeling on one wing while expecting the weight of her sister to drag her down - only, all she heard was a thumb, and Liora fluttered back around Aza'zel and overhead in time to see Ashtoreth in a pile of fur and feathers on the ground. Realizing her victory (and completely oblivious to Ashtoreth's hurt feelings), Liora crowed out an arrogant laugh and wheeled back to the perch, landing seamlessly while tucking her wings up against her and sliding in under her father's chest. She made herself comfortable there, cocking her head down to look at Ashtoreth and relishing her success.

It wasn't long after his call that a small group of Gembound began to gather. The first was his more adventurous child, Ashtoreth. Instantly, the small noodled wriggled onto the stone perch and pressed into his fluffy breast. Then the ever-loyal Kerberos approached, waiting patiently. A small coyote singing a song trotted happily in, plopping down at the side of the great cerberus. But what was more interesting was Liora.
The girl already had proclaimed herself to be the King-to-be (which he found absolutely adorable at first, but he'd soon discover that this would be a problem) and she appeared on the scene swiftly. Liora ruffled her iridescent feathers and scampered onto the perch as well, trying to push Ashtoreth off. Finally, the autumn-caped noodle clumsily fell off into a heap. Frowning, he looked at Liora. "Liora, that wasn't very nice of you." Calling upon his magicka, he had hoped to spur the corvid-vulture in the direction of off the perch, but apparently now was not the time for his magic to be working.
So, the Bone King would take the time to gently grasp the chick with his beak and flap down onto the ground and deposit her at the side of the brown noodle. "Sit with your sister, and don't fight!" Then he would clamber back onto his perch. God, Liora had emerged just a couple days ago... and she was already tearing this family apart.
There had been a call, had there? Oh! That was a bird's call! Primping just a bit, Prince Charmbirb Gertrude lifted his wings and made his fluttery little way towards the group. He landed on a perch, twisting his head back and forth. Bird, bird, dog-cat, bird-cat(?), THREE HEADED DOG! Gertrude ruffled his feathers, but didn't move. He was safely out of the reach of the strange beast. None of the birds were particularly beautiful, though one seemed to be in charge. Gertrude was appalled by how a bird of leading command could have dull feathers, but, aside from an indignant huff, did not react (yet). Beady green eyes surveyed the strange mix of mutant animals that followed an obviously not royal bird. This was a shameful gathering. Gertrude didn't say anything, though... yet.
He was loathe to admit it but he was actually very glad that Bonebound was filled once more with members and children. The raven sat atop a ledge, one filled with various mosses, feathers, gems, and bones. His dark, beady eyes surveyed the land before him. Quiet, he had been for a while but that was fine. The Bone King knew how to call him if he were needed. Krakarak would come in an instant for that was who his loyalty was for.
The raven watched as his daughter, Liora --an unravenlike name but it was forgivable-- tried to fight for her dominance over the King's throne. Krak let out an amused throaty laugh. Ah, despite the name she was the perfect little protege. It was then that he noticed something or rather, someone, in the background. A gray someone... with a gem for a face...
His eyes popped open comically wide, "DIRTY STUPID GEMFACE! KRAKAWAWA! HOW DARE YOU? KRAK KRAK! THIS KRAK HOME AND YOU INVADE IT WITH YOUR STINK!" He flapped his wings and glided down straight to the offender. He limped up and stood eye to eye with him, staring him down. Perhaps if he was alone he'd be a little less gungho to fight but with the Bone King at his back the sky was the limit.
