The War ended.

Just like that, the Second Wizarding War was over. Voldemort had been cut down by Harry Potter and it sent shock waves throughout the entire Magical Community. Yes, don’t get this story twisted. While the brunt of Voldemort’s forces focused in the United Kingdom, the devious beliefs of blood purity spread throughout the Wizarding World. Odd hatred was unleashed, hatred that could rival the darkest of magic, and other nations began to deal with their own brand of “Death Eaters.” The death of Lord Voldemort had a thunder affect across the Wizarding World and victory sprung along the deepest divides.

Our story has come to focus on the France, Norway, & the United Kingdom. France is home to the third largest population of magical inhabitants. It also is the country that Beauxbatons calls home. The school, founded sometime in the thirteenth century, boasts some of the greatest Charms experts amongst it’s graduates. Norway is the home to the second largest population of magical inhabitants. Durmstrang claims Norway as it’s home country and has been known to turn out a few darker types. And then we have the United Kingdom. With the largest population of magical inhabitants, it is home to Hogwarts - known as the place of the final duel around the world.

After the First Wizarding War, France’s Council of Magical Ministers declared they would remain neutral in all instances of Wizarding War going further. However, as the Second Wizarding War exploded, they had no choice but to address the return of Lord Voldemort and the possibility of violence within France. The level of violence would prove catastrophic. As Voldemort began his final assault on Hogwarts, 103 members of the French magical community and some 90 muggles were killed. The reach of blood purity had spread and taken hold in the highest levels in the French magical leadership.

Norway had remained rather unscathed during both Wars. However, it was soon learned that Norway helped to hide many of the notorious murderers in this tale. The corruption had clouted the political processes and large riots against the oppression broke out. While Harry Potter was working to vanquish the Dark Lord, many in the Norwegian magical community worked to vanquish this despicable blood purity.

The United Magical Confederation [UMC] was founded in 2015 and was the response of a community craving centralized leadership. The three magical governments of the UK, France, & Norway joined together to create one of the first united groups of magical communities. As a group, they boast the largest population of magical residents. The centralization has been both lauded and criticized - no one knows what good or bad it might bring. It was also during this time that France, Norway, & the UK voted to join into what would soon become known as the European Magical Union [EMU].

By the decade of the 2020’s, times had changed. Each country was flourishing with rather low level of violence. The three schools that represented each country has changed, but each have clung to the very tradition that makes them a success.
