Appearance: A odd creature that takes after the physical form of a platypus than a leopard, this creature will grow to be a rather minute 16" tall. However, they will make up for this shortness in noodlely length. With itty bitty ears, long legs equipped with webbed feet and a beak-topped chomper this critter is ready to take on the world. Their stone makes up only a part of the skull and appears as spikes protruding from their right cheek.

Species: Leopard x Platypus
Appearance: This Gemling definitely takes inspiration from their leopard mother for their body shape, facial structure, and tail. Outside of that, they definitely have platypus features. They have stubby little legs with cute webbed feet that gives them the cute gait of a corgi when running, and also causes them to only reach 10" in height. Like their sibling, this will be made up for with length. The top of their muzzle has beak material on it, yet it is flexible so it does not hinder facial movement all that much. Their stone appears by replacing a few of the vertebrae in the creature's lower back and sprouting out as little spikes.

Personality
Joy could be considered annoying, someone who will talk your ear off. He will talk on and on, rarely ever stopping unless someone manages to shut him up. He tends to annoy many gembounds with his constant talking, but he pays them no mind. If anyone were to comment on his appearance, you can be certain he will go off on you, going on about how he doesn't care what you think, and how there's nothing he can do about his appearance.

When talking, Joy tends to go off on a tangent and by the time he stops talking, he will likely be talking about something entirely different than the original topic. He often doesn't even know what he's talking about, simply talking just to hear his own voice. While he's talking, he'll continue talking until he runs out of breath. When this happens, he will quickly take a breath and continue. If someone manages to say something while he's taking a breath, then he will stop and realize that he's been rambling for a long time.

He tends to not care about what others think about him, however sometimes comments will get to him. He pretends that they don't, however, and moves on. He is very social, and will go up to anyone that he sees, and proceed to talk constantly. He is rarely ever silent. It might be thought that he talks constantly just to hear his own voice. While this may be true, there is another reason to his constant chatter. Joy is, in fact, quite afraid of the silence. He feels as though when it is silent, he is suffocating. He likes having some noise, even if it is very little. Him talking helps him stay grounded to the ground, give him something to focus on.

RP sample
Joy leaned against one of the walls of the cave. It was silent, with barely a sound to be heard. He was tense, his chest felt cramped, and he had a bit of trouble breathing. He wanted to speak, to say something, anything just to get rid of the silence, but his mouth felt dry. He didn't think he could get a word out. When did he let it go silent? He couldn't stand the silence, and he knew this. When had he stopped talking? Why had he stopped talking?

The walls felt as though they were starting to close in on him. He felt as though he was floating, but he knew he wasn't. He was stuck here, with the walls seemingly uncomfortably close. He walked away from the wall he was leaning against, his webbed feet making just the barest of noises as he walked. He continued walking, head thrashing around as he looked at the walls that seemed as though they were getting closer. He had to do something, he had to say something!

Joy opened his mouth and let out a weak "help." It was only as loud as a whisper, but it seemed to do the trick. Immediately, the walls didn't feel like they were so close. His body loosened up a bit, and he could breathe normally. He couldn't let that happen again. He needed to constantly talk, make sure he never heard the silence.
