Waddling around Polaris was tons of fun! Crystals and beautiful organic sculptures decorated the environment! Not to mention practically everything glowed! Though so far this beauty gave them little food. But thinking back was Aartappel even looking for food this whole time? The young mandril stopped abruptly, glancing around and eyes stopping once they met Titan's. He sat down, grabbing his feet and puffing out his cheeks; deflating them with a loud exhale.

"Ok so, here's the thing...I forgot we were looking for food..."

Aimlessly they'd wandered, the ape trusting his small companion as he led them through the vibrant crystals, and glowing mushrooms. Although his stomach still growled occasionally, the mandrill just head of him seemed to be enamored with the brilliantly hued walls. However, as a faint ache between his shoulders slowly pulsed a reminder that he hadn't had the best landing climbing down from his chrysalis, Aartappel had stopped ever so abruptly. Sitting himself down on the dusty rock floor and grabbing at his feet. Cheeks puffed out for a moment as Titan tilted his head in silent curiosity. "Ok so, here's the thing... I forgot we were looking for food..." Aartappel said, cheeks deflating rapidly with a loud exhale. Of course, Titan remained staring at him for a few moments, processing his words before blinking. And shaking his head. '... That's fine... everything's fine.' Well... he figured as much with their aimless wandering, and Aartappels' innate curiosity that had led to their meeting in the first place. A soundless sigh passed his throat as the Gorilla settled himself down across from the mandrill, tapping his knuckles against the ground in a way to try and voice his thoughts. 'Figured as much.'

Titan watched him for a few moment, eyes unmoving as he processed what the mandrill has just said. Only to shake his head in response, ah he was pretty disappointed...probably...Well it wasn't entirely his fault! This place was just so vast and full of vibrant wonders! Seriously how could any children survive here!? Especially with nothing but rocks! A soundless sigh passed through his friend as they settled down across from him. Tapping the ground in the peculiar way they did, attempting to communicate. Aartappel squinted slightly, eyes focused on the gorilla's knuckles.

"Maaaaybeeee....we haven't reached the food yet...I mean we've seen lizards! So there HAS to be food somewhere!"

The young mandrill shot to his feet, eyes wide and full of determination! They would find food! Even if was the last thing the'd do! Though he hoped that wouldn't be the case...

The squint from the mandrill told him that he was at least trying to figure out what he was 'saying.' "Maaaaybeeee....we haven't reached the food yet...I mean we've seen lizards! So there HAS to be food somewhere!" Aartappel said, shooting to his feet with eyes blazing in determination. 'Settle down.' Slowly, Titan waved his hands in what he was hoping was a placating motion, having to squint at the smaller baboon's sudden show of energy. Unsure of whether his actions fulfilled their duty of calming the overly energetic baboon down, the gorilla pushed himself back to his feet, briefly reaching up to scratch at the side of his throat with a silent hum. A moment's pause, and Titan bounced slightly. Smacking his palm flat to the ground to grab Aartappel's attention again, before curling his lips back to show his teeth. A wordless question being directed to the mandrill as he tapped at small canines. 'How do we know what is safe?'

His eyes were filled with determination! Nothing would stop him now! At least until his gorilla companion waved their hands; somewhat of a placating motion. Aartappell merely squinted back, face expressing confusion; brow furrowed. They rose to their feet only to bounce and smack the the palm of his hand flat against the ground! Well whatever they were doing surely had his attention now. But they bared teeth and Aaetappell mimicked, tapping his own teeth in return.

"I know you're hungry, I'm sure were about to stumble onto some food any moment!"

Turning heel he made way to continue their expedition. He would find food! Awkward limbs scurrying he ran off, searching in between the crystal clusters. At least until something caught his gaze! Excitement rushed over the young mandrill and he began scooping up the goods in question. Turning around with excitement he observed his friend who was slowly approaching. Palms cupped over the suprises he verbally beckoned them over.

"LOOK! LOOK! Take a look at these!"

"I know you're hungry, I'm sure we're about to stumble onto some food any moment!" With a pace that Titan could once again, only blink at. The mandrill raced off, hastily scouring between the clusters of vibrant crystals for some sort of food. At a much more sedate pace, Titan lumbered after him, a curious tilt of his head being his only response to the sudden 'scooping' motions that Aartappel was making, though unable to see just what he was making said motions at due to his back being turned to him. However, as he intended to tap out his curiosity, Aartappel had turned back in his direction, hands cupped, and covering whatever it was the mandrill was holding. "LOOK! LOOK! Take a look at these!" Picking up his pace from the excited tone that Aartappel had taken on, Titan wobbled to a stop in front of him, crouching just enough to be eye level with the mandrill's hand. Reaching up, being ever so delicately to peel Aartappel's hand away in order to see just what he'd found. ... And then promptly looked back at Aartappel, disappointment written clear across his face. '... Really?'

His companion had picked up their pace, wobbling over in a moments noticed; stopping just infront of him. They couched down, eye level even with the palms of the young mandrill's hands. Slowly Aartappel allowed them to peel back his fingers, delicately of course. Though once the gorilla got a good look at what the items were well he didn't express nowhere near the joy Aartappel had expected or hoped. No words were needed, the disappointment was plastered clear across his pal's face. Aartappel in return could only puff up his cheeks in response. Releasing a sigh before he spoke up with yet even more determination and a hint of crowd control.

"Ok-ok, look I know they may not be edible but I thought you would enjoy them! I mean they are cool aren't they?"

He held them out, gently bouncing them in his palm. Perhaps he was still a bit too young and excitable to remain focused on the task at hand.

It seemed his disappointment was clear enough for Aartappel to see, judging by the puffing of the mandrill's cheeks. Something Titan only could only snort soundlessly at. "Ok-ok, look I know they may not be edible but I thought you would enjoy them! I mean they are cool aren't they?" Well... with that logic, how could Titan be annoyed with him? Gently, the gorilla took one of the stones from Aartappels' hand, slowly nodding his agreement to his statement. The stones were pretty neat... Setting the stone back in Aartappels' hand, Titan tapped his knuckles against the ground. 'This time, I'll look for something edible.' Straightening his stance, Titan wobbled away from the stone-carrying mandrill, attention floating upwards to try and find something that might be edible. Though, as fate enjoyed being stubborn, not even Titan could find anything... only more stones. Of which he'd calmly grabbed a handful, and hobbled his way back over to Aartappel, attempting to keep his balance on his hind legs. Presenting said stones, Titan sat back on his haunches, looking only slightly annoyed at his luck as he tapped the knuckles of his free hand against the ground. 'I found more rocks.'

Oh Aartappel was so pleased to see his friend gaining some joy out of the vibrant stones! They had nodded in agreement about how lovely they were! Though without much he began to wobble off, not straying too far from the mandrill's sight. It was roughly a minute or two of searching before they came wobbling back, and with something in the palm of their hands! Though upon closer inspection they were just stones, vibrant beautiful stones but still stones... Huh... His best buddy sat down 'defeated'

"Well those are definitely rocks..."

Inhaling he puffed out his cheeks, holding in the air for a rather obnoxious exhale. What were they to do...Neither have had any luck finding food...Once again Aartappel held that determination, gently placing the various stones on the grounds before running off. His voice of 'NO FOOD YET' ringing loud and clear.

"Well those are definitely rocks..." Aartappel had acknowledged the stones in his hand. Puffing out his cheeks again as that blaze of determination spurred itself to life within the mandrill's eyes. Curiously, Titan watched as Aartappel gently set the stones down, his hind leg reaching over to scoot the stones closer with a soundless hum. With boundless energy, the monkey had raced off, his small tail the last thing to disappear behind the various clusters of crystals, voice echoing around the glittering structures with a simple message of 'No Food Yet.' Weary, the ape settled himself down, feeling a bit more at ease, with the small stones pressing against his chest, waiting for his Best Bud to come back. 'Don't get lost now...'
