QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

MAGICKA LEVEL 93% RESTORED TO 100%
Water! Water everywhere! The little filly laughed as she cantered over to the entrance of the tunnel of water. For now she had not a care in the world. She was thinking not of her friends, nor of the enemies, nor of the things she'd been told. She was only thinking of the water that she was going to play in!
The gem on her head tingled as she went into the mist at the entrance of Pisces. Without even realizing it she was tapping into her magick, absorbing the water around her while she stomped her hooves on the ground and splashed herself with the pools of water. Very quickly she was soaked with water, her coat was spiky and her mane hanging heavily and streaming water but she didn't care! The feeling of water falling from her pelt and the feel of it splashing against her skin... It was pure magic!
"Iee! Iee! Aarkiaa'areeh iee!" Her strange high-pitched squealing whinnies were oddly musical as she continued to "sing" this particular verse over and over while stomping and rearing in the mists. She was creating quite a racket with her stomping and splashing and singing but she didn't care. Life was good and she had friends!
Best of all.. She had water!

MAGICKA LEVEL 80% RESTORED TO 100%
Mycelium, mycelium everywhere! "Woah, you guys sure do love damp places!" The zebra foal chirped to his unseen fungi friends. He was beganing to like this tunnel, and if it weren't for the increasing magical headache pounding in his skull, he would have absolutely loved it. Kito shook his throbbing head as he trekked through the damp halls.
'Damn, that spell worked a little too well." His poor brain was aching so much it was starting to put a damper on his mood. He stopped and lowered is head and rubbed his eyes on his forelegs. The zebra brought his blue-eyed gaze back towards the tunnel and trotted down the misty corridor, his hooves clacked against the hard ground. Kito slowed his gate as he spotted another equine in the distance. Oh no, where's her stripes? He eyes scanned the walls for this poor horse's missing stripes and sure enough, they were all over the tunnel, slithering about! His ears pricked forward at the funny sounds that came out of her mouth. They kind of made his brain ache more. But now was not the time to gripe about a grumpy head, he had let this filly know where her stripes went. "Don't let them get away!" He brayed to her as he quickened his pace to a canter. "Grab them quickly!"
The cacophony of squealing and hooves on water continued to echo on while the occasionally giggle of the overjoyed foal punctuated the sounds. The filly didn't notice the new sound of clopping hooves, not until they were closer and she finally stopped in her singing to glance towards the din. A strangely colored equine was headed right towards her. Out of all of the horses she'd seen so far --which admittedly was only two, three if she counted her own reflection-- none of them was colored in the way that this one was! Why was he all stripey? Shouldn't he be solid colored or at least spotted like her?
He seemed to be braying about something getting away! Oh no! Should she grab something? Alarmed the little filly began to look every which way, trying to find what exactly he was looking for. "Huh? Grab them what? Grab them what?" She whinnied as she spun around in circles, completely at a loss at what to grab. "Grab them pebbles?" Still not sure if that's what he wanted the young foal lowered her head to pick up a wet rock from the ground, this she offered to the striped colt. "Kir?" She asked around the stone.
The zebra foal dug his hooves into the ground to stop himself from barreling into the filly and approached with a trot. He frowned at the pebble in her mouth. She had misunderstood. "No, no!" He growled, shaking his head. "You're stripes! They're slithering away! " Kito pawed at the runaway stripes around him as he treid to pin them down with his hooves. "Don't worry, I'll help you catch them!" His blunt teeth clacked at air as he nipped and at and chased the hallucination like a mad zebra.
Suddenly, the foal stopped in his tracks and looked around the tunnel as if he was missing something. The stripes had disappeared, leaving him bewildered. Then, his blue eyes lit up with realization. The stripes did not exist after all and he ran around like a bafoon in front of this pretty filly. Kito pinned is ears and stomp his hoof on the ground, sending droplets of water flying from impact. "Cut it out!" He snorted angrily at the mycelia pulling his strings, but it was actually to no one in particular.
The striped colt seemed to be frustrated with the pebble that she grabbed and dejectedly she allowed it to fall back to the ground with a tiny clatter. Saga didn't have long to be upset though, for the equine was telling her about her... stripes? The young filly looked at her hindquarters where she could clearly see her spots sitting there. What on Origin..? "This One no has stripes... This One has spots, see?" She wiggled her rump from side-to-side to showcase the brown splotches amid the background of white. In any case, how could stripes be slithering away? Was this all some sort of a game? Or better yet... a joke? If so, Saga was completely amused after she got what the guy was doing!
To top it off it seemed that the other foal was stomping on the "stripes" putting on a show for her! This was all so amusing! The little filly let out an amused laugh, smiling and pawing at the ground with one hoof in an attempt to "applaud" him. "You are funny! Much funny! Who you? Saga likes you!" Being so young she really didn't know much about holding in her feelings or emotions, so, however she felt about someone she felt it and this horse! Well, he was the most amusing person she'd met to date!
Kito turned his head, surprised to see the filly laughing at him. A smile drew across his muzzle. He made some laugh! Maybe he should make others laugh more often. "I'm Kito!" He chirped cheerfully to the filly. "So, you're Saga? Hey, I like that name, thats a cool name!" Kito pranced up to Saga to sniff her curiously. So turns out she had no stripes after all, but spots. They reminded him of the pebbles strewn all over Origin.
A playful giggle escaped from the little foal. "It looks like you have rocks on your butt!" Kito took a step back after he he was done greeting her. His baby blue eyes twinkled playfully like the crystals in Orion. "Sooo..." Kito began, curiosity lining his tone as he tilted his head to the side. "Are you brown with a white rump, or white with a reeeaally big brown patch?"
Wow! That was the second time someone said they liked her name! Was it really that good? The little filly smiled at him coyly and turned her head to the side, "Thank-you... This One likes your name too, Kito." It was a very nice name. Very... dolphin-like! When he pranced himself up to her to sniff the little filly extended her own little nose out to give him a sniff right back, committing his scent to memory and getting more acquainted with him.
A laugh escaped from her mouth when he said it looked like there were rocks on her butt. "They do! Kir! They do!" She agreed with a laugh as she looked back at her rump. "Sooo..." Her ears turned towards the male followed by her head, curious at what he was going to say. What came out of his mouth had her laughing again. "Saga is brown! With white rump!" Or at least... she thought so... Never before had she considered the alternative. "Eerrr... she thinks... Maybe white? This One has white back too!" Wow, this opened up a whole new realm of possibilities! "What about you? You white with black stripes or black with white stripes?" She countered with a grin. Gee... This was a whole new world! It was so strange... How was she ever to figure out these two conundrums? Foiled by their ambiguous pelts!

Kito had to think long and hard about what Saga said about his coat. He turn his head to look at his flank and curiously examined the unique pattern draped across his body. "Oh geez...That's a good question." He said to her, still thinking. What base color was he even? That had never occurred to him before. Was he even black and white, or did their eyes perceive colors differently. "I don't know..."
He turn back to Saga with a confused expression on his face. His eyes shone as if he had just found out that this whole life was a lie. "What if I'm not black and white at all?" He gasped. "What if I'm some other color we can't see!"
The zebra plopped his rump in a puddle as he sat down like canine. He furrowed his brow, worryingly staring off into space as the thought toyed with his mind. If there were colors he couldn't see, then what did those colors look like? He wanted to know. He NEEDED to know! It was killing him!
He didn't know? Oh no! That was no good! What a mystery this had all turned out to be! A terrible, terrible mystery! "Oh nooo! Oh no, Kito!" Her hooves began to clack on the pebbly ground as she made a little dancing motion, uncertain at the new possibilities.
Her head tilted slightly to the side as she stared at him with her confused purple gaze. Then, he unloaded a completely new thing on her that blew her mind! Colors that she didn't know about! Why, she'd never thought about such a thing before! "Other... colors? Whoooaaaa!" She looked at her own pelt with renewed interest. What if she was some vibrant beautiful color? And she couldn't even appreciate it! "Other colors... What if Saga is a pretty pretty color? She would never know." She looked at Kito then, eyes staring at his black and white pelt. "What if Kito is pretty pretty color? Oh nooo... Saga want to see pretty pretty color on Kito! How will we? Ask someone else?" Perhaps if they sought help another creature would be able to shed new light on their pelt colors.

His throbbing headache only increased to an unbearable pressure the more he thought about unseen colors. He rubbed his tight skull on his knee, but that did nothing to ease the pain. His round ears flicked forward. Saga's just said something ingenious. To ask someone who could see all the colors, what a brilliant idea! He looked up at the filly with his blue eyes shining bright.
"Saga, you're a genius!" He exclaimed. What a marvelous little noggin she possessed! Once they learn that there are indeed more colors, they could figure out how to see them. He wondered what he and Saga's true colors were, but if they did this right, he would not have to wonder for long.
Kito stood up from his awkward sitting position, leaving behind a rump-shaped patch of fungi sprouting from the damp ground. He took no notice in the magical mushrooms, but was aware of the words they whispered in his ears. "We'll ask others can see what we cannot!"
And steal their eyeballs?? Squeaked one malicious mushroom.
Sure. Why not? Said another.
Wait, if this thread is called Water World, shouldn't it be about water?
That was true, they were kind of getting off track, but everyone did that. Maybe they should do something with water while they're at it.
"Hey." He said to Saga. "You can do water stuff right? I think we should something with water so the it's not false advertisement."
