Cuanakrys pondered as to her existence. She was pacing, and would have looked perfectly fine, if it where not for her stressed appearance. She decided to stop pacing, and she wandered through tunnel H again. Perhaps she could go somewhere new? There had been so many cycles of pure, undisturbed silence... perhaps the cave was anew as well.

Four lanky limbs bent beneath her body, and fleshy bubbles bounced on her elbows and along her sides; perhaps a forwarning of what she was to become.

Like a creeping blight Equinox wandered, leaving a trail of pitch-black sludge in her wake. Her belly was full, her sides rippling with gelatinous mass. Since meeting Tukluk, her spirits had been high. She finally knew now that there were creatures out there who could accept her; she just needed to find them. Somehow.

As the thought crossed her mind, however, Equinox stopped in her tracks as she rounded a bend in the tunnel and suddenly faced another creature; a canine, to be exact. Instinctively, Equinox froze, her sides rippling with texture like goosebumps. Instead of speaking, the reptillian being could only stare dumbly with maw opened wide. Suddenly, this didn't seem like a good idea.

Cuanakrys stood, startled by the creature. This... was weirder than a daydream! "Hello? Can you speak? at all? Are you nice?" Cuanakrys asks in a tired, cracking voice.

@Equinox

Equinox looked at them with her eye peering out of the back of her throat. But the wolf didn't move. However, after a few long moments their voice reached her; a new voice that appeared world-weary and lonely. Equinox wondered if they were simply afraid of her, and she slowly backed away several steps, leaving puddles of pitch-black slime in her wake.

"I can speak. I will not hurt you," she gurgled in her softly feminine baritone, bowing her head as deeply as she could towards the wolf in an effort to show that she meant them no harm.

notes: any chance of making your posts a tad longer? Perhaps try describing your characters' movements, their thoughts, their response to even the tiny flickers across the other characters' face. If you need a couple of examples or a bit of a crash course, just let me know! <3

"Oh, Ok!" Cuanakrys said, padding a bit closer to the creature. "What is your name? Mine is Cuanakrys." Cuan said, a friendly expression on her face. She felt as though this creature would make a good friend. A slimy friend, perhaps, but a friend nonetheless. Cuans' ear flicked, waiting for a response.

Equinox was slightly surprised when they showed no hesitation in coming closer. She almost wanted to back away herself for fear of dripping on them. She took a moment to process their question before lowering her head to their height and rumbling out her name, the sound reverberating from deep within her chest. "I am Nox," she told them, opening her maw so that she could properly look at them with a crimson eye encased in diamond.

she tilted her head slightly to the side, a whistling sound audible as she sniffed the air. "You are not afraid of me?"

notes: Sorry about the wait! the holidays is one hella busy time.

"No, I am not afraid. Why would one be afraid of one as gentle as you?" Cuana asked, head tilted in confusion. "Nox is your name? It's fun to say." Cuanakrys said to herself, pondering if the mouth was an extended eyelid of sorts, or if it was an actual mouth.

Equinox tilted her head slightly, looking closely at the wolf- Cuanakrys, as they said their name was- standing opposite her. What they said resonated deeply within Equinox, however she couldn't help but feel... nervous. Like it or no, there were dangerous aspects to hanging around Equinox, her slime being one of them. So long as they didn't decide to touch it, however.

A small rumble began in her chest, a ripple spreading throughout her gelatinous form. "Thossse who do not know me, fear me," she told them softly. "They've never seen anything like thisss before." She gave her head a slight nod at their repetition of her name.

Looking out through her fangs and beak, Equinox tried to smile welcomingly without looking too imposing.

"I've had daydreams that are worse than meeting a scary-looking gembound who was actually nice." Cuan said, smiling back at Nox. 'She isn't that scary.why WOULD someone be afraid of her? does she have uncontrollable magic? No, Nox seems to be able to control her magic.' Cuan thought, assessing why someone would be afraid of Nox.

Equinox considered this... wondering if there were any other frightening creatures in the cave like her that would have Cuanakrys think this way as surely it wasn't the wisest approach. But perhaps that was coming from her own experiences; as the saying went, don't judge a book by its cover. "If you're sure," Equinox agreed quietly. Slowly, she closed her eyes. Something still didn't sit right, however... perhaps she just wasn't used to this kind of first impression. If she'd been something small and furry and had run into herself, her first compulsion would be to run a thousand miles.
