Future's mind was finally open and ready, willing to be who she was. She had spent days in the darkness of caves and fought the urge of giving in that was now there constantly. Future was very weak and unhappy, but she was determined to keep going until she found a suitable friend that was prepared to help her through these tough times of devastation. Destiny was gone now, and there was nothing at all Future could do about it. Yes, she was grieving, but Destiny's going had left Future emotionally wounded. Her body was fierce and ready to fight the darkness until it left her for good, but could she really keep this strength up? She shivered, rhythmically pounding her tail against the earth. Would anybody else ever come to be her friend and save her from becoming a truly harsh character? She had no idea whether her battle against her will was enough, or whether she was a strong enough wolf to stroll through it easily. Certainly, it had not been easy up until this point.
Every moment sent a shiver down Future's spine, and she felt a feeling of pleasure and evil. This was regular. The evil took over her for just a certain amount of time. But it might become constant, and Future would need help.

Tuck and Garmer were once again wandering the Caves, and not for the first time, the marmoset seemed drawn towards Polaris. There was something about the Energy here that called to seemingly every Gembound. Even Garmer could sense the change in the air. Tuck had no real direction to go in. He stopped every now and then to put some seeds or pretty rocks or feathers into his pack, and then he would hop on. And soon enough, he came to a white wolf, wandering aimlessly, it seemed. She looked upset, but maybe he was just imagining things. Nonetheless, he decided to speak to her. Maybe he could find out what was going on, if anything was going on.
“Hey,” he said, hopping closer. “I’m Tuck. What’s your name? I don’t think we’ve met before.”
Garmer, who was flying overhead, circled a few times above them, and then glided at a rather steep angle to the ground and landed nearby, watching with interest.

Future looked up, tears filling her soft eyes. This pain was unbelievable! Her tail wagged slightly, because perhaps somebody had come to help her. Friend? She really, really hoped so!
"Hello monkey my name's Future and I'm a wolf if you didn't guess I really need help right now can you help me."The words tumbled out like one huge sentence, and Future shrugged her apologies.
"Damn! Now I've really screwed up."
The world spun and Future's mind whirred and whirred like machinery. There wasn't much time left, with this darkness pulling constantly at Future's clouded body. Her heart wandered closer to this stranger, and she felt completely secure with him. Maybe she could even trust him? Future smiled a wolf-dog smile and opened her eyes wide. They were deep and calm as the ocean but at the bottom was a sinister area even no demon should dare going. Future just hopefully waited for the strange monkey to introduce himself. Then, straight after that, they'd be official friends.
So what she was excited?
So what she was crying?
A savior comes in many forms.

Okay… What had previously been concern for the wolf had quickly turned into concern for himself. Clearly this wolf was insane. Tuck physically backed up when she came closer to him, his burnt-orange eyes widening in unabashed fear. Garmer sensed his fear and stepped between the two of them, letting out a warning growl aimed at the white canid. What was it with Tuck and meeting crazy wolves? First there was the totally insane red wolf he’d met like two days after he’d hatched, then there was that weird black pup he’d met a cycle ago or so. Now this. Why the hell was she crying? Jesus…
“Uh, listen,” Tuck said, peeking around Garmer. “I, uh… don’t think I can help you, okay? I — I don’t even know you.” God, he hoped she would back off. She was freaking him out.

Future stared at the monkey, hurt and confused. He looked very afraid.
"It's alright," soothed Future, wagging her tail. "I'm really sorry if I sound nuts but I'm having a very bad time at the moment."
She sighed and closed her eyes tightly, imagining what the world would be like without other creatures in it. The monkey before her amused her slightly, and she cocked her head on one side and smiled. She was sure she could prove she really wasn't crazy...
"I'd be afraid of myself, and it's pretty hard for me to make friends. I'm just a bit of a dark character, but I'm really trying to overcome that."
No answer. She repeated her words, sighing and shrugging. Maybe this friendship was a long shot. She had met people before who thought of her as a cowardly pup. She really wasn't insane... she was just having a hard time fitting in. Maybe the monkey could forgive her awkward introduction?

Okay, well… This wolf’s explanation of her sudden weird actions didn’t really make Tuck feel better about what had happened. Sure, she hadn’t hurt him or anything, but he wasn’t really the best Gembound to talk to about… emotional stuff. Especially if he didn’t know you. He sighed, feeling weird and confused. He felt sorry for the wolf, but at the same time, he still didn’t really want any part of her or her obviously crazy brain. Honestly, he seemed to have the worst luck with wolves. There was that really douche-y one who’d almost stepped on him when he hatched, then there was that completely mental one in Cetus who still freaked him out, and he’d only met her like once. Nope, he was so done trying to be friends with wolves.
“Look, I gotta go, okay?” he said, hopping out from behind Garmer. “I still can’t help you. Go make friends with someone else. Sorry.” Feeling entirely awkwarded-out he shuffled away as fast possible, resisting the urge to look over his shoulder.
