Adoption Board
Adopting out characters on Origin is one of the few things we're a little finicky about. The reason for this is because almost all characters begin on Origin fresh out of the chrysalis, and there are virtually no blood relations they can have. The exception of course are characters born via reproduction between two pre-existing characters. This is why we can't allow you to adopt out siblings, parents, past acquaintances, etc as, unfortunately, these kinds of relations don't really exist for your characters. Here are what you
can adopt out:
- Future characters playing a certain role in future plots
- Your own inactive characters (if you grow bored of them)
- Your character's children (check
this thread)
If we see anybody attempting to adopt out family relations to characters that logically shouldn't have those relations, the staff will gently remind you to adjust your adoption thread or advise that you remove it. These rules are in place to keep the story of Origin Cave consistent - for example, we just can't have first generation Gembounds running around with blood relations, simply because it's impossible!
