QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Another good day in a good world for a big deer. Every step was haphazardly placed, mud squishing between his toed hooves. As far as instincts went, he was in his element; swampy, marshland-like environment with plenty to eat. Boy, did he eat. As he walked, he grabbed branches and any plant he could reach, eating on the go more often than not. He never went anywhere quietly, either. Aside from his loud chewing and branch-snagging, his antlers hit every tree and horn caught in every low branch. He never stopped unless the tree or branch was particularly strong or in the way. As a gentle-giant-type, this bull tended to lazily plow through anything. He was far too big and head-appendages too large to waste time dodging everything in the forest.
Wisgi was a simple beast, with the ever common feeling of loneliness, despite how happy and content he was in his home. He was of an age where it was time to start searching; so he thought, anyway. A little heartache could lead to long walks. Every day he traveled further and had become rather accustom to every inch of this particular room, hoping for a new face... but had no gains aside from well-toned leg and neck muscles. When he approached an entrance to a tunnel for the hundredth time, he stared into it, wondering. Then, he promptly turned and strode away back toward the very distance center.

Laughter bubbled from the strange hybrid creature. Paws splashed and ran through the marsh, squishing into mud and splashing the murky water all over the place. Her beautiful pale blue and white pelt covered in dark ugly mud. Yet, still she ran and splashed through the place. It wasn't until her paw was caught by an upturned root did her playful romp come to a hault.
A yelp escaped the creature as she went head first into the muddy water and with her current momentum went flipping and tumbling. It took two flips before she landed flat on her back a few feet away and she stayed there for a good long moment; staring up into the darkness in a daze.
Soon melodic laughter burst from the hybrid and she quickly rolled over to her paws. There was a pinch in her ankle, but it wasn't enough to cause her too much grief. She shook herself; sending mud and water flying in all directions only for it to collect back to where it had come from.
Her dolphin-like tail swished around behind her. the bottom tip of the find just barely grazing over the water. Her voice hummed in her chest as she cast her gaze around. It was so dark as of late. Maya certainly wasn't a fan of it as she seemed to have many accidents tripping over everything. Yet, that never stopped this ever happy hybrid.
With one more shake of her head, Maya set off to explore some more of the marsh. It wasn't until she heard a loud racket did her attention be pulled away. She blinked with curiosity before turning towards the sound and hurried after the sound. "Helloooo! Anyone there?" she called curiously, ears twisting around and listening for any response as she headed closer and closer to the loud sounds.
Every step was a delight in this lovely cave, constantly buried to his knees in mud. Occasionally he found surfaces a little more solid, usually through the thick of the trees. Roots twisted and curved in tricky ways, offering an unwanted trip to the ground. It was these little bits in his wanderings that he was particularly grateful for having such long, sturdy legs that could be lifted high with little effort. Others weren't so fortunate, it seemed, as he heard a rather loud noise similar to that of someone who'd eaten a face-full of mud. After a pause to listen, he began to trot, antlers raking every tree he passed. Obviously, he was noisy enough, as the source of the thumping about began to call out. Unfortunately, he was almost next to her, just on the other side of some trees when she yelled.
"Well, now... is it really so necessary to yell that loudly?" he asked. As he emerged from the trees to inspect the dirty hybrid, his ears were pinned back, trying to divert from the exceptionally loud "Anyone there?" Still, he offered a friendly smile to her. "Wisgi is my name. And you are...?"
The sound grew louder and Maya knew for certain this creature was now coming closer and closer to them. A voice rose up and a broad grin crossed over their features as they turned to look towards the sound only to just barely catch the outline of a large creature coming around the trees. "Well yes! What if you happened to be much further than you were! How would you have heard me if I was quiet," mirth bubbled in their voice as they quickly swung around and plopped their rump in the mud as the big creature introduced himself. "I am Maya! It is good to see another gembound! Have you been here long? Are you alone? Are there others here? It's so exciting to meet you! Maya babbled on for a good few questions as she tried to distinguish the creatures features within the dark. IF only they could light up the darkness...then it probably wouldn't be so hard.
