Things have been rather lonely lately in Eridanus... At first Pulse appreciated it in a way, since it meant she had a space to herself without feeling any social pressure that'll drain her. It does seem like only Eridanus is empty, so if she wanted to make an attempt in finding some friends, then all she needed to do was to go and venture out into other areas to give things a try but now it was starting to get too lonesome.

B-But she just can't plan on going out now- Everything is too dark right now the lights have been kidnapped or something, she doubts others will actually be able to see her to be able to pay attention. Not to add Pulse doesn't think that others out there are in a too friendly mood right now to start some small talk with how dark it is and all, so planning to go out now is just a bad time right now.

...

...Or in truth, it’s better to say she kept on having plans to go out and interact with others, but she kept on backing out of them at the last second and 'postponing' those plans with excuses then just spending her time with solo activities. This darkness is just another excuse to avoid attempting to communicate with another Gembound, a sugar glider is supposed to be a nocturnal creature anyway, her night vision is great so it's not like she's 'blind' in this here darkness.

Besides, claiming the whole Eridanus room is empty is untrue, it's really just devoid of other Gembounds from around the area Pulse has managed to choose as her home: Her den... Which is basically a well-hidden hole in an old, tall tree, not to add this said hole is pretty high up in this tree, near the peak of it actually, nowhere near the ground. Pulse may as well be someone living on the top of a tall tower waiting for visitors to come to her.

Yeah... There's no way this is going to work. Knock it off and just... G-Glide out the den and maybe find someone? Mustering all her courage she makes one huge leap out of her den and stretches all her limbs out, allowing Pulse to glide effectively, till she finally safely hit the ground. O-Ok down... And strangely enough safe landing, actually it felt like she landed on some soft fabric and not the ground.

So n-now what?

Looking around in all directions almost nervously and she just starts to pace around the ground very unsure on what to do next. Oh wait... She may have night vision, but what about a potential encounter? They may not be able to see... Well, this was just poor planning, disheartened somewhat she just stares down at the ground, which is... all red in her eyes- Huh? Red? That isn't a colour one sees in Eridanus. Touching this red object with one of her tiny paws it felt like soft fabric, wool cashmere maybe? Wait... How does she know that?

This spike an idea though, this bright red stands out even in this darkness if she keeps it with her someone might be able to see her, and maybe they could... Talk? She's excited at the thought as she picks this red thing up and holds it up to attract another’s attention, but also really nervous so much she's trembling, for one she fears she's going to make things awkward no matter what.

Equinox hadn't been back to eridanus for some time- mainly out of fear for what she might do, even if it was by accident. even now, she imagined that the forest still bore the scars of her mistake, that had almost cost the caves an entire room, and the only jungle the caves had. but as she wandered, Equinox was struck with a realization that caused her to come hurtling back almost immediately. The realization that Eridanus was where Tukluk lived. And he was her best friend. Equinox owed the tiny creature her life for ensuring her safe passage into this world from the boggy womb she'd emerged from.

She had to know that he was okay, even if just stepping into the shadows of the trees brought waves of guilt flooding back. The draconian creature knew that she wouldn't find anything in this darkness, but Equinox knew that her voice could be heard from far, far off.

And that was why, upon emerging into the woods, Equinox's jaws were closed, blinding her to the darkness. With her already-poor eyesight it would be impossible for her to see, so there was no use in trying. All she could do was stand still, her hide trembling, and then feel her chest reverberating as she let loose a deep and mournful cry. A call to her friend, searching to see if they were okay.

"Tukluk!" she bellowed out over the trees, her hide breaking out in trembles and her voice barely decipherable. The great creature, blind as she was in this darkness, didn't even notice the tiny being stood just before her, donned in a cloak of red. To Equinox, everything was red- her gem clouded her vision, after all.

"Tukluk!"
