Fallah is being a she in this post. She doesn't expect you to care or know.

The small cat's stomach growled in protest and the cat grumbled back. Why did it NEED to eat? Why was that even a thing? Fallah didn't understand, but once when she decided to ignore it for too long, she got really sick feeling after a while. She tried it again later and the same thing happened. Now her stomach had her trained. When it rumbled, she hunted, no questions asked. Okay, questions were still asked, but hey, it was progress, wasn't it? The cat tread onward, crystal blue eyes peering around for prey. The best way Fallah could think to hunt was to jump at the hiding spots where prey might hide, then to chase them down. With the lynx's lengthy legs, usually it wasn't too hard. Actually finding the prey was the hardest part. The lynx jumped to and fro on its spindly legs, trying to scare prey out in the open. Fallah didn't care how long it took as long as she was able to get some grub.

Many of Eridanus' small animals had taken notice of the lynx's attempts to hunt by jumping into the areas they could possibly be hiding. However, these small animals weren't very smart; their response to this obvious threat was, unfortunately to continue hiding and not move until the lynx was gone. On one such occasion of jumping on potential hiding spots, the lynx did manage to crush the hiding spot of one particular animal. Upon disturbing the undergrowth just a couple inches away from where it was hiding, a large, fat toad leaped out into the open, away from Fallah. A small emerald stone glistened as no more than a small bump atop its skull, however this animal did not wield the same self-awareness as the lynx. This was a prey animal.

Having revealed itself, the toad leaped away again back into the undergrowth behind Fallah, hoping to escape its potential demise.

All right! Fallah got one being to come out! It was a frog! A big frog! A toad? Whatever it was, it was out and ripe for the eating! Fallah let out a kind of chirping meow at the small beast as it hopped behind her. She spun, her eyes dilated and wide as they focused on the creature. Fluffy paws stampered on the ground after the toad. Fallah decided it was time for action! Crouching, Fallah took aim and listened to where she suspected the toad to be. She let out a small, chirpy meow again as she wiggled herself into just the right balance. Checking once more for what she thought the toad's position was, the lynx sprung into action, paws aimed to come down on either side of the toad and clear a way for her teeth to come down upon the creature and eat it.

Had the feline been more silent, perhaps the toad would be less leery towards her presence. Alas, she announced herself after having seen the toad. That quiet mewl was all it took for the toad to continue on its path away from the feline; where she landed, she would find no toad. The amphibian continued to hop away through the bushes, this time with haste.

(You can make an Other attempt for catching the toad if you want :P)

Darn! No toad here! As Fallah ponced, her paws were met with nothing but mosses. Maybe it was all the greens that were confusing the young lynx. She heard it, though. The steady "hip hip hip" of the toad through the bushes growing faster. Fallah's ears perked as she tried to relocate the animal. It had to be right... there! No there! The cat nosed its way into the brush. Her eyes caught movement. Was that it? No! This toad was so confusing. There it was! Fallah was sure that was it! The cat wriggled again to ready herself. Three, two, one, JUMP!

-AFTER ROLL-
One paw missed, but the other paw just barely hit. Fallah was successful! Quickly, the lynx scooped up the toad to eat. This would make a nice little snack for now. Making her way out of the bushes, Fallah set to looking for a nicer place to eat and relax.
