QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

The amethyst gem lay dormant; quietly tucked away, hidden cozily amongst the glowing fauna. Little bundles of light effortlessly danced across opaque surfaces, casting away the darkness. The region was serene and welcoming - practically beckoning life itself forward. It was as if the world called upon magic time after time and endlessly magic responded giving the world many gifts.
Different purple hues erupted from beneath the fauna, casting dappled light across the tawny colored ground.
Deep, low vibration crackling ruptured from underneath the fauna sending a burst of purple light to the tops of the cave before recoiling to its case. Amethyst splinters to the ground, the fragments caressing their main host with a bright luminescence before landing onto the Earth.
The plants rustle back and forth, expanding as a fleshy paw subtly emerges, and then another. A small snout sticks out from the plants, nose wiggling enthusiastically at the wondrous scents. The animal moves forward with each uneven step until she stands in a clearing - almost path like. Her eyes were open but she could not see. The world was fuzzy as lights dragged themselves across her vision. Her gaze transfixed on the surrounding colors, each one reaching out to stroke her emotions stirring something deep inside of her. She cooed in delight as the black began slowly lift and her eyes came to light. Shapes everywhere, with different colors and textures.
The bear spiraled into her beginning. She the magnet and the Earth the field on which she was to connect to. She had begun her beginning.

An eve long-past clung desperately to the vestiges of focus, prodding yet again that yes, he was on a mission and that yes he must continue to pursue it. He had followed the American coastline for months -- he had been counting the number of times the sun clambered high in the sky. Tybalt Vie Coeur: a soldier trained since he abandoned his mother's teat; a commander rising on the blood of old; a man scouring the east coast in order to scar over fresh wounds. A man who's jealousy and challenge had vicariously flung an arrow of absolute paranoia into her mind.
Ages spent bearing no fruit, he wondered if he had even been right to believe that Tilian would follow what was familiar: the ocean's waves. Worthless travels. Not a day would pass where Divico's warning words would echo through his mind. "If you do not return soon, Tybalt, you will be replaced." Replacement, a toxic word for him. A man so obsessed with success and lasting impressions could not simply be replaced and stay to tell the tale. Even if he returned with the heretic's head, would it have been worth it?
His mind was astray in memories of what should have been left to rot-diffused thought. Perhaps so lost in the ichorous labyrinth that he had lost sight of where he had ended up in the Vale (more apt to be dubbed a peninsula, but he didn't care much for geography) unacquainted. In the eventide of summer, he had found himself wandering a roaring expanse of green canopies and dappled sunlight. If he was one to be sentimental, it was rather scenic. Most certainly warm in comparison to the cold reaches of oceanic cliffsides in New England, even with the promises of autumn hanging in the distance.
Speaking of in the distance. Tybalt blinked once, head arching forth as he snapped from his listless reverie. "'lo," he cawed towards the smudge moving about in the bushes, voice croaky from severe neglect. Had the scent drifting towards him been of prey, he would have remained the silent silhouette. Fortunately, it was of something vaguely familiar. Sea salt and musky stone. Homely. Carrying himself closer upon slender limbs, he cleared his throat. "You smell like home—the ocean," he commented as he stopped a few meters off, slightly tensed.

Brows quirked in false sarrow. Lime green stared up at the monochromatic female from hooded eyes. If he wasn't intending to spread the gospel of his lost brother, Tybalt wouldn't be caught dead sniveling like a whelp left out on dinnertime. He was blinking away imaginary tears after skepticism rolled from the woman. The very one that had just been mooning the ocean. "Not here," he murmured, voice low and pitiful. Head turned to face the world opposite of the ocean, he continued in baritone, "to the north, on a peninsula far bigger than this."
He paused for a moment, tongue miraculously tied. Disbelief had somehow managed to gone unchecked by the clockwork king; he knew of the war, but not of the reason. The Oathsworn had been expected to blindly obey. They were beasts bred for war and little more. Free will was a commodity. Free time a scarce rarity. Hiding fervent thoughts in a sharp inhale like he was on the verge of gut-wrenching sobbing. He had never quite questioned the perpetual bedlam. Only lived within its festering chest. Lungs fermenting in blood. Seeking shelter from anything other than pure, unadulterated normalcy. The surreal deviation from normalcy that reigned over Avalon was enough to have him reeling. Where he would stand tense and alert, he now almost seemed paranoid. A glance cast to the left and to the right and back again. Toes splayed across the earth and haunches quivering as he awaited a spring into action.
"The dogs slew his patrol in an ambush. They knew who he was... the son of the Oathsworn's great leader," he finally offered. Tybalt lowered his head again, a sigh whistling through his teeth, "they chased him—howling—down the shore and he never came back." Ears lay down like sheep settling for the night. Although his features still conveyed sorrow, Tybalt stood resolutely, lime green eyes sparking. "I've been gone for three full moons. I won't stop hunting for my brother until I find his body or die trying." A true statement vicariously guided out of context by vicious, starved hopes.
