VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

The deer sat on the edge of the river, staring at his young reflection in the waves. He was a deer, a unique deer in his own way. Unlike his friend Tamely who was also like him he had antlers. They weren't very large antlers but they were still there and growing steadily by the day. Already they poked above his head a few inches. These pair made him quite satisfied with himself, he felt that they would keep growing and growing into a fine branching head. Only time would tell how large they would get though.

He smiled as he remembered the game he played the other night with Wynry and his friends. Truth or Dare, he didn't know how Wynry had come up with it but it was a fine game. Sure, there'd been a little bit of drama but it had sorted itself out. Overall it had been a wonderful night, one that he would look back fondly on for years to come. Especially... His felt his cheeks and ears warm as he thought of the dare that Arkrael had to do. A simple little kiss but for some reason it had meant so much... to him at least, he didn't know about the wolf. As far as he knew she had shrugged it off and gone on her merry way. Now here he was thinking about it again.

He sighed happily at the memory and brought up a ball of grass to chew on thoughtfully. He could taste the sweet flavor from what he'd browsed earlier. A tasty flavor to have in his mouth while his mind pondered on the sweet girl of his dreams... Girl of his dreams? Oof... Had he actually thought that? No no, she couldn't be that. They'd only just met a few weeks ago and yet. Here he was, thinking about here now. The warm fluttery feeling in his stomach was nice as he gazed dreamily at the water, thinking about a certain black wolf.

"Speech" Thoughts
It seemed more times than not, Arkrael's time was spent within Polaris. If she wasn't back home in Eridanus, she was here. Why she always found herself here was beyond her. Perhaps it was her desire to learn about the Golems. To discover their weaknesses or to learn what would sooth their ever present need for magic. At least, in her time of watching him it was what she gathered. They would always go for someone's gem. Especially if they were using their particular magic. The day she had faced against them up further by the dam still sent cold shivers down her back. It had been a disaster. Or, at least it had become a disaster that had been resolved. She could still remember how her world had blackened out, how soon after that darkness enveloped her that her world had came reeling right back to her and along with it such excruciating pain. It had hurt. More than she could even describe now.

The thoughts were soon quickly pushed aside. Arkrael did not want to linger on how that had felt. She was just now starting to fell a hundred precent again after that ordeal. She was just glad they had both made it out alive. All thanks to a certain individual. It wasn't much longer that her thoughts flickered back to the stag she had met that fateful day. Vazi. A smile suddenly adorned her features as she slowly padded along the river bank, making her way up further along it. She had decided today would be a good day to do some more research as she had nothing else going on. Her mind wandered, trailing along her memories of the buck who had so suddenly stolen her complete and undivided attention.

The game that had been played not but only a few nights ago was still fresh on her mind. She had so boldly chosen a dare. Vazi had done so himself, so it was only natural for Arkrael to take the challenge as well. Oh, but had she known what that sneaky cat had been plotting all along. 'Give that lovely fellow next to you...a kiss! The words still rang loudly in her mind. Sent butterflies flying all throughout her stomach. She had not understood the sensation that had arisen by that single word. Arkrael had choked on her breath, she remembered clearly the strange emotions that had consumed her. Though she was not a wolf to back down. And so she had kissed Vazi. She did not hold back. Even with the strange sensations within her belly, and the insecurity she had felt in that exact moment. She had kissed him. Right smack on his muzzle and nearly right over the front of his own mouth. A side mouth kiss. That's the only thing she could bring herself to call it.

Almost instantly she felt her ears begin to burn and soon followed did her face. The butterflies in her stomach quickly rose up in her again and it was all Arkrael could do to not plop herself right where she was standing and cover up her face with her paws. Luckily enough she had fur that would so graciously hide her reddening flesh. A shy grin suddenly split across Arkrael's features and she was sure glad she was alone in that moment. She was unsure on how to feel about these new sensations that plagued her, but she did not abolish them. However, when a scent quickly flooded her senses Arkreal's mind went blank. Her gaze quickly leaped up and much to her own shock there he stood. The creature that had been on her mind constantly.

Vazi...

Almost instantly a broad grin split across Arkrael's muzzle even before she could realize it was happening. Her tail began to fan out behind her, showing her joy of seeing him. Though, she quickly stuffed those strange feelings aside and desperately tried to contain herself. Clearing her throat, Arkrael trotted over to the stag; almost eager to see what he was up to. Hopefully he wasn't trying to jump into a pit of golems again! "Hello...Vazi," A warm smile caught her features, brightening her multi-colored eyes as she looked him over. She had wanted to say more, but now she found herself without a voice. What could she say to him? She was unsure. It was the first time in her entire existence in Origin that she had no voice. She was acting silly. There was just no way...- Quickly Arkrael shook her thoughts and decidedly focused on Vazi, intrigued to hear if he had anything to say or to hear if he had been on any adventures since the game night.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

He didn't even hear her approach nor scent her as he was lost in his thoughts. Thinking all about her and for once not worried about Wynry. He cared for the lamb a lot but he knew that his brother needed time on his own to grow and mature. Besides, they would always meet back up and after that last event who would even want to hurt him? Everyone loved the little lamb! Who couldn't? He was so kind and sweet.

Kind and sweet. The same words he could use to describe the she-wolf. There were the butterflies again, creating those jitters in his belly as he continued to chew on his cud. If only Arkrael was here now. He would love to see her, to talk to her, to-- "Hello... Vazi." He started. The cud in his mouth was swallowed forcefully in her nervousness, a little too forcefully as he began to cough and choke on it. He coughed and a coughed and finally dislodged it so it would hit his rumen and no longer bother him. He took a few deep breaths. Glad that he wasn't choking anymore but completely embarrassed that he'd even done so in front of the lovely she-wolf.

"He.. he... hello, Ark... Arkrael." He panted. One last cough and he was good! He raised his head, making sure that the two antler points were visible --boy he sure was proud of those!-- and gave her a smile like she was the best thing that he'd seen all day. "I hope you have been doing well!" He said enthusiastically but cordially. He had to have manners, after all.

"Speech" Thoughts
Arkrael blinked when Vazi suddenly was suddenly choking on something. Perhaps she hat startled him? Shaking the thoughts Arkrael lowered herself to sit patiently on her haunches. She tilted her head when Vazi finally got a hold of himself and offered a warm smile when he could finally talk normally. "I have...just...figured I'd go back and do some more studying of the Golems..." Arkrael seemed to find it hard to find something to say. That was strange in and of itself. Arkrael may lack a lot of friends, but she had always found herself able to confidently speak when she was around someone. So it was a little unsettling when she suddenly found herself fumbling with her words.

Arkrael gave a quiet gulp as a strange sensation of nervousness pitted in her belly, mixing entirely with the now crazed butterflies that were suddenly swarming around inside. She cleared her throat and settled her gaze back onto Vazi and looked him over curiously "And you? What brings you back to Polaris?" She was truly curious as to why the stag had brought himself back to the same area the two of them had only weeks ago nearly got themselves killed in. It was an adventure to remember that was for sure. Arkrael could live without reliving that explosion of pain that had occurred in the middle of their rush to help the strange white beast that had been overrun by golems. For a moment longer she pondered over the entire ordeal quietly before focusing herself back onto Vazi, curiosity glinting in her miss-matched eyes.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

The young stag lowered himself to his haunches as well, mimicking the sitting that Arkrael was doing. He looked around, saw her tail was wagging and did the same with his own short one. Wagging it back and forth in an expression of joy like he figured she was doing. "Studying. Oh yes, that is a great idea! We do not really know all about them. It is very smart of you to do so. However, I would not expect any less from a very intelligent she-wolf like yourself." He said with a smile only to feel the butterflies in his gut again. Oh dear... should he not have said such a forward compliment? Taking it back would be terrible because it could offend her but leaving it out there... Oh dear. He wanted to duck his head away and go somewhere to hide but he couldn't. So he just put on a nervous grin and a giggle bubbled out of his throat. He wanted to hide his emotions but he wasn't doing to good of a job at the moment. Even the gem was betraying his nervous excitement by turning orange.

The young deer started gazing at the wolf now. Staring into her green and black eye... so unique. He hadn't seen anyone else with eyes quite like hers. They made her have her own special appearance... And that cap of fur on her head, his steel gray eyes traveled up there and he decided that it was quite fine. It wasn't until he saw the wolf staring that he realized he'd been asked a question. "Oh! Um..." What had she said? What brought him back to Polaris? "I like it here. This is where I hatched so I come back just because it brings good memories. Despite the golems... If I do not use any magic they should not bother me, right?" In theory that should work. Keep away from them and they'll keep away from you.

Now he stared at the wolf again, unsure of what to say. Why was it so hard to concentrate and think of things? "Hey! Um... Would you..." He paused, unsure of himself but then he continued. "Would you like to lie down here with me? We can watch the river. Sometimes some very interesting fish like to jump out." Oh wait! She'd just said she was researching golems! Stupid stupid! "I mean, uh, you do not have to! I know you want to research the golems. I do not want to disturb you. Sorry." He apologized swiftly.

"Speech" Thoughts
It seemed like her entire body burned as Vazi spoke his words of compliment. Oh, how happy she was that fur covered her entire bodice. A nervous grin slipped across her muzzle as her ears splayed out to the side. She was hardly THAT intelligent. Others probably had already found a way to destroy the golems; or even how to sooth them. She dug a paw at the ground she stood upon, turning her gaze towards the moving river. The water was also beautiful here. Sparkling with all the lights that were always apart of Polaris. She gazed at her reflection for a small moment, musing over how strange her eyes were to be so miss-matched. Then, her gaze flitted over towards Vazi's reflection and her stomach did a flip when she saw that he was still watching her.

When Vazi began to speak again Arkrael turned her heterochromia eyes up towards Vazi again, pricking her ears forward as she listened intently. She smiled, happy to learn that this was the place of his emergence. It was definitely a wondrous area. She gave a nod of agreement, as if to tell him he was correct in his assumption and just as she was about to open maw to give her take on the golems, but quickly snapped her jowls shut as he began speaking again. His words stuttered for a moment and she tilted her head curiously. She didn't remember him always stuttering with his words, so why now? Her tail swayed behind her all the same, displaying the simple joy she was feeling just by being around him.

Vazi's request for her to lay down with him by the river surprised Arkrael. So much so that her throat had suddenly gained a tight knot and her stomach was doing all kinds of flips with those strange butterflies going crazy. Her heart began to race, beating frantically against her chest as she shuffled on her paws just for a moment. When he began to quickly apologize and say she didn't have to Arkrael gave a sudden grin and before she even realized what she was doing took a few more steps closer to Vazi and nudged her shoulder against him. "I would love to..." The tone in her voice was so foreign to Arkrael that she wasn't even sure she had been the one to say it. Her face heated up instantly and her ears began to burn, but she did lower herself onto her stomach, resting her paws just barely over the edge of the rive to where the came just a few inches from the moving water.

Now it was up to Vazi if he would find himself moving to lay down next to her. It sure did feel like it was taking an eternity for him to do so. In Arkrael's erratic mind anyways. She had never felt so nervous in her time of being within the caves than she did at this very point in time. She had to force herself to gulp down the knot that was still very much lodged into her throat and gave a shy side-glance towards the stag that plagued her thoughts.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

Oh, she was going to leave wasn't she? Just pack up everything and walk away at his useless stuttering and horrible compliments, the whole nine yards. The stag fought the urge to just turn tail and hide his shame. But wait... if she was going to leave why was her tail still wagging? Why was she grinning at him like that? Did he dare hope she would stick around to enjoy the day with him? "I would love to..." She said yes! She said yes! The stag nearly bucked in sheer joy but withheld the urge. No need to make himself look like more of a fool around the beautiful wolf. Beautiful? Did he just think that? "Oh! Um, thank-you! I am glad that you would love to sit with me because I would love to lay with you as well. But! You already knew that because why would I be asking if I didn't want... to..." Oh just shut-up, Vazi, you're making an even bigger fool of yourself.

A tingle of some new emotion made its way up his spine as the wolf lay down near the water's edge. The stag lowered himself down next to her, front legs folding first and then rear. His body was now next to hers, fur lightly brushing the she-wolf's longer coat as he shared the afternoon with her. Or was it midday? Who knew with the perpetual light of the cave.

The stag chanced a shy glance over to her, steel gray eyes gazing in wonder before he looked towards the water self-consciously. What if she saw him staring at her? What would she think? He only realized that when he looked at the water again he was staring at her reflection there. Oh no! That wasn't any better because she was there too! The stag glanced up at the ceiling and it was then that he noticed the pretty glowing fungus. That was a good conversation starter? Right?! He had to try. He didn't want to just sit here in awkward silence, he was wasting this lovely girl's time. "Pretty, is it not? All of the glowing fungi." He said, pointing with his nose to the glowing fungus.

"Speech" Thoughts
The she-wolf couldn't help the soft laugh that escaped her when Vazi went on rambling about them laying there together. She glanced towards him thoughtfully once again, one ear twisting towards him to listen to the words he spoke. It was strange the sensation that warmed her very being just being next to him. As strange as it was, however, it felt nice. Great even. It was a feeling Arkrael wasn't sure she understood, but did not at all completely reject. She definitely wasn't going to bring it up though, that was for sure. She shook her thoughts instantly when Vazi finally lowered himself next to her.

She tried to gulp down the knot that had quickly formed in her throat as her mind went on a frenzy trying to think on what she should do or say, if anything. For a moment it seemed like their silence went of for longer than it really had. Not that she found it to be a bad thing, but she was beginning to worry that maybe she would come off as boring to the stag next to her. Just as she tried to find something to say to him the stag was speaking of the glowing fungi. Arkrael blinked as she tipped her head back and gazed at the fungi covered ceiling. A soft smile caught the edges of her features as she studied the glowing fungi. "Yes. It is very pretty," Her smile seemed to grow as she continued to gaze up towards the fungi. She had enjoyed almost every cave room she had been in. Never going through quickly, but rather stayed to discover any and all new things she had yet to find within the cave. Even now she was sure she really hadn't seen all there was to the place they all lived within.

The young stag smiled as she looked up and agreed with him. Good. Well, that hadn't been too awkward right? Or was she just humoring him? No. Arkrael wouldn't do that, would she? The young antlers shook as Vazi gave his head the tiniest of shakes. His thoughts were slow to form and difficult to express. Why was it so hard to talk around the pretty she-wolf? When he was with Wynry all of the words just came natural, just like breathing. With her though it was like his thoughts were stalled and his heart fluttered in his chest. It left a sort of ache in his belly but not the kind that he wanted to stop... He wanted this ache to last forever while he laid next to Arkrael.

Just then he thought of the kiss again and wondered what it had been like for her. He didn't dare ask upright, he was far too shy for that. "Did... Did you enjoy Wyn's game?" Just then he became very intent on watching the rippling waves before him. "He thought of it himself and wanted to organize the whole thing. He is a very brave and smart lamb." He still stared intently at the water but the rippling had stopped.

Audits flicked as Vazi's voice rose to break the silence that had coated over them for a small moment. Arkrael shifted a moment as her mind quickly drifted back to the game that had taken place back in her home room. A strange fluttering of her heart caught her off guard and she once again felt her skin warm up beneath her dark pelt. Her tail lightly thumped against the ground subconsciously as she could do no other but ponder over the kiss she had to give him. She wiggled her toes thoughtfully before glancing to the side at Vazi, studying the way he was watching the water intently. It made her curious so she soon turned her multi-colored eyes towards the water herself to see if he was watching something.

"I did..." She began, once again trying to force a sudden knot down her throat. She still didn't understand why she felt so nervous to be here with him. She finally offered a small grin, "It was a particularly intriguing game...before that cat ruined it..." Arkrael's nose scrunched as she thought about that feline. If she had been Leon she would have taken a bite out of him. Shaking it off she grinned all the same. Even still with the game being ruined it had been fun. "He is. He did a good job handling the game and keeping it going for as long as it could," She turned to smile fully at him. She adored Vazi's affection towards the lamb. It was much like her own affection for Tamelyn. As she looked him over once again Arkrael felt her stomach do an entire flip. She had just about to open her maw and say something else. Yet the image of the kiss that had transpired during the game left her without a voice and nervous once more.

She cleared her throat as quietly as she could as she timidly turned her gaze back to the water. For a long moment it felt like she was just laying there doing nothing, but staring at the water. "Hey... uh... Vazi?" Her voice finally broke the silence as she moved a shaking paw to tuck under her other leg as if to hide her suddenly nervous shake. She licked at the tips of her fangs nervously for a moment as she struggled to bring her thoughts to words. How did one ask that kind of question anyway? It was all new to her, even more so with the mixing of unfamiliar emotions that sent butterflies in her stomach and a drum to her heart. She wasn't even sure if she knew what exactly she wanted to ask of him. The words were just void of her, leaving her every bit as speechless as she had been when the kiss first occurred.

A quiet sigh escaped her as her gaze dropped down further onto the ground she sat upon and studied the small pebbles that lay about between her legs. She studied the larger gem just in the middle of the stray rocks as her mind was at a loss of how to speak the words she was trying to express. A sudden vibration in her chest before the deep humming of her gem startled Arkrael and she nearly jumped up to her paws. Yet, when the large stone between her legs suddenly began to compress into itself followed by a loud crack, Arkrael pricked her ears foward. She hadn't summoned her magic... so what was it doing...- Her eyes went a bit wide when the stone fell away and revealed a much different stone. A gem!

Her maw parted in shock as she stared at the black opal before her. It's black void speckled with green and blue colors. Her tail instantly began wagging, thumping against the ground as she scooted back a bit and gently pressed her nose against the cool gem. A sudden idea came to mind. If she could not express what she wanted to ask in words just yet... Then maybe she could just settle with a gift. She turned her gaze to Vazi for a moment before moving her leg closest to him out of the way. "H-here," She could have hit her head against the ground for the sudden nervous stutter, but she quickly cast it aside deciding she would react to it later. "It's for you," Arkrael grinned and mentally cheered at herself for not stuttering that part. She couldn't really lay claim to the idea, but she definitely had her magic to thank for it later.
