With the news of Blackberry surviving her attack beginning to spread, the Kingdom of Eridanus will be hosting a trial in Polaris to hand out fair judgement to the ex-murderer. The news will be spread across the caves - most likely only reclusives and the like will not hear about it. All the groups will be informed via leaders and all are welcome to attend.
The Prosecution
Blackberry has done terrible things, far too many to forgive her for. There is too great a risk that she is lying about her change, we cannot allow her to run free and risk the safety of the caves. Anyone that has been harmed by Blackberry, whether directly or indirectly, anyone that believes she is beyond redemption, and anyone that wishes to see this murderer out of the caves are invited to join the prosecution to give testimonies against her freedom.

The Defense
She was a murderer, yes, but she has been changed. She's already faced enough punishment - she watched her son be brutally murdered, her husband was killed, and she herself was physically tormented and faced death. We should give her the chance to try again. Anyone that thinks Blackberry deserves a second chance, anyone that wants to keep her alive, and anyone that knew her and loved her are invited to join the defense to give testimonies supporting her freedom.

The Jury
Although the final judgement will be shared by everyone, there is asked to also be a neutral party that comes in with no decision in their minds that can be swayed either way. They will not give testimonies, but may share their opinion at any time. Anyone not part of the defense or prosecution will be considered part of the jury as everyone present will have an opportunity to be part of the final vote. Spectating is, of course, welcome, and voting is not mandatory. Members of the jury will also question Blackberry as well as the defense/prosecution at any time.

You do not have to sign up with the thread to join the trial! The trial will remain open for its entire duration, but will continue to move forward every week, regardless of if you have posted or not. However, if you would like to tesitfy or ask questions, I would prefer if I had word beforehand so I know who to expect! If you have an recommendations for the trial and how it should work, please feel free to throw them out there!
