The cheetah slept in Orion peacefully, under the glistening ceiling. Usually she wasn't one for sleep, instead, she was one to practice her running at 75 miles. Also, to add to that, she would practice quick turns while running at that insane speed. Zothra also liked to test her agility, and she had done some crazy things in her past to achieve that, thus naming herself, The Daredevil. Though sleep was something that was needed for all mammals, and it was something she couldn't avoid. So she usually just plopped down whenever she felt strong sleep overcome her. Zothra had been meaning to practice electricity magic, but her interest in daring agility stunts got the better of her. Though for the moment, she just wanted to catch up on sleep.

For a week-old kid, Serendipity was fairly damn busy.

Even aside from-- well, everything regarding Azure, she still managed to find some time for herself. Time to work and create and fix the things she found in tunnel J. It was difficult work, and Siren didn't want help, but it was rewarding.

Mostly rewarding, at least.

The trek to drag things back to her den was considerably longer and more exhausting, which lead Siren to believe she should at least take something of a break today. Instead, she'd find dyes. That'd be fun, right? She could take them to the Thing with Yellow Horns (or the Blacksmith, if she ever found them) or maybe just take the raw gems to Azure as a gift, and they could light them up and add them around their den.

It did mean she'd have to find them, however-- but that much was made fairly simple with the use of magic. With the familiar wash of magicka flowing through her, she was made aware of the glittering minerals and rocks sprawled out around her, most half-buried in the dirt, some hidden under ferns and puddles.

One in particular that drew her attention was a pale gold beryl; a colour that had rang familiar when she remembered Dread's words. Well. Word, singular. It was perched on the caved-in roof of one of the ancient buildings, eons old and half-shattered.

This much might have driven most away from this particular prize, but Serendipity was blessed enough to be born without the sense of fear. Unfortunate, if you really think about the implications.

And the implications went as such-- hypothetically, let's say a week-old humanoid alien scrambled up onto one of the many unstable buildings in Orion. Hypothetically, she may step out confidently across the ancient, battered stone, grabbing a shiny beryl in her little fist. Hypothetically, as she puts too much weight on the ceiling to claim the gemstone, she may have crashed through the ceiling with a crackle of rock and brick hitting the cave floor.

'Hypothetically.'

Somehow, in the fall, Siren hadn't been injured. Perhaps dumb luck or some ominous Other Force kept her fairly unharmed for now, though a little less could be say for the beryl, which had shattered in the fall.

"Ah, shit," she murmured, half-mimicking Azure.

Zothra heard a loud noise come from above, and instantly the cheetah jerked up from the noise. What in the caves was that?! Zothra shook herself out, then looked around. Her eyes then landed on a small creature, a young gembound who apparently looked like she fell from above. Where above, she did not know. Immediately the adult female jogged over to the small child, visually looking her over before she spoke. "That looked like a hard fall. Are you all right? Luckily I don't see any serious injuries or wounds are you." Zothra then straightened up as she introduced herself. "I am Zothra, a member of the Kingdom of The Seven. Might I ask your name?" If the child did not want to give her name that was fine. She was mainly here to make sure she wasn't hurt seriously anywhere.

For a moment, Serendipity's attention was honed in on bits of the gold beryl, nabbing them and stuffing them away into her satchel as quickly as possible. They were still useful, at least-- either as dye for the Thing with Yellow Horns or the Blacksmith. Perhaps less so Azure, they were too small to really help out with the lighting.

She huffed, starting to scramble out of the rubble when she noticed a someone staring at her-- and judging by how their mouth was moving --trying to talk to her.

"Huh what?" She replied helpfully, scrambling out of the fall and ruffling the swathe of pink fur growing out of her head. Ancient dust, unsettled, fell right back out. Her tail hurt, and her ankle felt odd, but otherwise she was mostly fine. No harm done. No long term harm done, at least. "Uh, I'm fine. Stuff here's just broken."

Not the first time she'd gotten in a scrape while gathering resources, at least.

"Sirendippity," she replied, mispronouncing her own name through elongated fangs. "Or Siren. Or Dip. Uh. Everybody has a preference, I think." Not that she did, at least not really.

She took a look around Orion, ruffling dust off her tunic and flicking her tail. "So, uh, one of the guardians, right? Like Pride? He's gonna teach me and stuff."

Zothra gave a polite nod to Sirendippity, then greeted her. "Well it's nice to meet you Sirendippity." The child was very adorable, like a lot of children in the caves. Unfortunately, not all of of them were like this. It seemed the child confused her for a guardian, but that was alright. Zothra spoke and politely corrected her. "Oh no. I'm not a guardian around here. I consider myself like a citizen who is trying to find her true rank within the group, that's all." Then she asked curiously about her and Pride. "What is Pride going to be teaching you, if you don't mind me asking?" Last time she saw Pride, he told her about the horrible Blackberry and the Bloodberries. That was a gruesome thing to learn of.

"It's good to meet you too," Serendipity half-decided on the spot, extending a hand out to Zothra in the same gesture the Collector had shown her-- the handshake, he'd called it. Only one of them had hands here, but that probably didn't matter.

She furrowed her brows doubtfully. Pride had said all the Seven were guardians, and Pride didn't seem like the type of gembound to lie. Maybe this one was?

"Okay," she replied merely, cautiously, stashing this snippet of information away for a time when Zothra would inevitably be found out for her crimes against the caves. Pride had mentioned trials, after all.

The child lifted her gaze briefly, blinking once, then twice. Baby brain recalling the conversation with Pride-- and specifically trying to leave out the 'your best friend might be a potential murderer!' parts. Which, unsurprisingly, was quite difficult to try to forget about for the time being.

Dimly-lit eyes flickered back down. "Uh, magic," she said. "Stuff about the caves, and how to fight and defend myself and other people, I think. He said he'd show me around, too, but I don't wanna leave Azure yet."

Because this stranger would know who Azure is.
