The tunnel was laden with all kinds of junk and trash, burying parts of the floor in piles and heaps. Unknown to the world, under one of these trash piles was a growing stone, now reaching almost a foot in width. The trash had barely moved to accomodate it, but it was mostly lighter things - bits of leather and sheets of scrap metal.

There was a cracking sound, muted by the weight of the trash before all of a sudden, a paw burst free from the gemstone egg, reaching through the junk to peek out just above. It paused for a moment before retracting and, a moment later, it struck out again, this time from a different angle. The two breaks in the gem were enough to completely shatter it, releasing the canine within. But now they were trapped inside of another confinement - the trash itself.

Bright green eyes opened wide, but all they could see was the underside of a battered shield. It wasn't a particularly thick layer of trash above them, small enough not to crush their tiny body, but thick enough that they were essentially trapped. They pushed against it, trying to free themselves from their nook, but the junk would not give way. They started whining loudly, a cry for help to anybody nearby to help! They continued fighting and struggling to free themselves but it was no use.
