November 1st, 2019 -
Welcome to November! We're now in Cycle 55, and it's time for some
News™!
First off, the OTM Awards for November are up.
Winning
Character of the Month is
Blackberry, now known as
Nameless, whose recent exploits--particularly in the winning
Thread of the Month, Blackberry's Gambit, are both deeply testing of her character and inspirational with her perseverence.
Winning
Member of the Month is yours truly, because I'm awesome.
(Thanks guys!!)
Pair of the Month goes to our new yin-and-yang matched pair,
Vyette and
Kazgut. One a graceful, ethereal white hound with pitch-black gem and stare; the other, a black dog with a moonstone and moonglow eyes, these two have hatched together and form a perfect lunar-inspired, beautifully-aesthetic partnership. Though they are both still young and only just starting to explore Origin, we can't wait to see where they go!
Remember, for each OTM you win, you can claim 50 Magicka in the Magicka Market, and an achievement in Update Me!
Thanks for voting, everyone!
Images will be posted below when they are ready.
Monthly Draw!
Congratulations Selkie on winning this month's Mutation Slot!
Up next in News: the
November event, the Random Thread Prompt Contest! We've had a lot of interest and tons of sign-ups for this one. This event has paired up participating characters through randomized rolls, and assigned each pair a cave in which to write a thread together.
The sign-up deadline was October 31st, but newly-joining members
may still sign up, though there's no guarantee a partner will be found. The deadline for thread completion (15 post minimum) is December 1st. Those who complete the thread will be entered into the raffle for a
special Origin-lore-related rare character, which will be raffled off at the end of the event! And to tease participants, I'll be posting a new preview of this character each day. Maybe the clever among you can piece it together before the deadline...
