Like the
mite queen before her, Varzagosa would lay her eggs like normal, until the last would split her body in two—literally. Starting at her lower half and splitting her skin along the length of her belly, a wound of flesh would rip her apart, bleeding black Oil, a second form emerging from the belly of the Komodo. Meanwhile, the pain would incapacitate Varzagosa. As another whole being was retched from her body, clawing its way into freedom from its parent flesh, the Komodo would feel as if her body were on fire. Pain indescribable would burn through her veins until, finally, she would pass out as the gorge along her underside were zipped back together with the very Oil that had split it apart.
As she slips into unconsciousness, she may catch a glimpse of her feral spawn ripping into her newly laid eggs, feeding its primal hunger until it were full, and then tearing into others out of pure rage and chaos. Only six eggs would remain after. The feral creature would then scurry off into the darkness.
Varzagosa has passed out.
In three cycles time, the six remaining eggs will hatch—only for their inhabitants to quickly suffocate and die in an environment they are not suited for.
