So... gold, huh?

Sharp had gone looking for some of this "gold" stuff for Dread when, in typical Sharp fashion, she found herself far away from her typical home. At first she just left for Orion, but then she saw something glittery in the distance and decided to follow it, and then before she knew it she was completely lost. This new room was vivid with color, practically neon at this time of day, and full of bioluminescent flora. A crackling formation of crystal was visible in the distance, and even the very air felt charged. Despite having walked several hours, she felt energetic, as if she just had a long nap. The lizard found herself lost, simply staring around in vague wonder, before she remembered why she went here in the first place.

Right, something valuable to trade with Dread. Mainly gold, but anything else she could get her claws on would help. Sharp took a long look around the sparkling cave, trying to search out any conspicuous yellow gleams.

A foot tapped dissapointingly on the cave floor. There was nothing.

That was dissapointing.

Perhaps Sharp just had to look in a different spot. She couldn't just give up after two seconds and call it a day. After all, the whole cave was ahead of her, and just huddling by the entrance wasn't going to get her anywhere. She turned, dull claws scrabbling against slick stone as she made her way towards the odd tower she saw earlier. The room continued in every direction, practically infinite to such a tiny gembound. Signs of habitation were abundant, from vague pawprints to large dens, but the only thing Sharp was focused on were riches.

Sharp was about to take a stop and rest when a glint of something shiny peered at the edge of her vision, lodged in the dirt. The child immediately scampered to it, trying to dig it up with her tiny claws. What could it be? Hopefully some gold, of course, but she was fine with anything similar.

And it was! Within a few quick moments a tiny cluster of gleaming golden metal sat between her talons. It wasn't very large, and it certainly wasn't enough to pay off her purchase yet, but it was a start. Sharp set the chunk next to a notable stalagmite to collect later (praying no one else stole it), and set out to try again.

A brief stop to eat some of the juicy bugs crawling about, and Sharp was off again. She randomly chose a direction and started walking, her tiny clawed feet plapping against the cold stone. She didn't think much, just scouring the floor around her in a methodical pattern. She liked it here, surprisingly. It wasn't as windy as Monoceros, but not as melancholic as Orion, either; the whole place felt buzzing with energy. Just like herself.

After a bit of uneventful walking, Sharp decided that maybe she had to dig down a little to find something worthy. Most of the ground she'd covered was just boring brown rock, but here it softened down to just pebbles and dirt-- any riches beneath the surface would be easier to dig up here. She slapped a foot down, roughly testing the ground for any unusual densities. The soft plump of dirt trickled into her ears. And then another foot. Nothing yet. She tried again several more times in different places, before a tiny clunking noise echoed up from one.

Something was there! The sungazer immediately got into prime digging position and started pawing away little handfuls of dirt-- it was a blessing her species was built for digging, or else this would have taken ages. Bingo. Several minutes of dirt getting in her claws and a nice, round nugged laid in front of her. Once again, she did a little happy dance, before hiding it somewhere memorable and moving on. When she was finished, she'll come back and collect it.

Perhaps she had to try somewhere else.

It had been hours, and so far she had only found two nuggets of gold. The fact just was that gold was rare and she was a tiny creature, and the chances of her finding enough gold in the next few hours to pay off her purchase was pretty low. She wasn't going to give up, though. She just needed to find something else. Something so awesome, that Dread-dragon would be blown off his feet when she showed him. But where would that be?

Her mind wandered a bit, before it settled on one of the few rooms she knew. Canis. Not only was it filled with bones (maybe she could bring back some?), it was where she met that weird lore-keep lady. She was there, and they came to a strange den filled with all sorts of interesting and unique items, right? What if there were more dens, filled with more cool stuff that she could borrow and trade? Sharp didn't know this was called "a robbery". Honestly, she didn't even know most dens were inhabited-- in her mind little furnished nests were just a natural feature of the caves. No one would mind, right? Plus, she faintly remembered a... "Collector" or something, who lived there. That certainly was worth checking out.

Her mind decided, Sharp began the trek back to the cave entrance. She wasn't too far off, thankfully enough, and she still remembered where she hid her earlier finds. Give or take a few more minutes the sungazer was standing by the entrance, mouth full with metallic golden pebbles and claws tapping in thought. One last look at the sparkling room, and she trotted down the airy tunnel.

Exit Sharp. Since I apparently can't keep motivated on this lol, I got confirmation with Dark to move over to Canis for a meeting with the Collector!
