Himmel.

Himmel explored the area without any semblance of caution. He went from cluster to cluster of the native mushrooms, guided primarily by their light rather than any childish curiosity. A few of the smaller ones he stomped on for the enjoyment of crushing them to bits.

It was a sprawling place; much bigger than Pisces where he had hatched, and dryer. He could smell the mineral quality of water somewhere and chose to avoid it whenever possible. Along the way he saw odd glowing figments of light. There was something in the distance that glowed more fiercely than anything - tall, immense really, but he wasn't tempted closer by the light. It interested him as much as the mushrooms did; but maybe if he came this way again Himmel would venture closer to the spire and investigate it. For now, he moseyed; the last thing he wanted was further disaster.

There was a buzzing in the air that was somewhat irritating. His ears pivoted as soon as he caught it, and after a few more strides he stopped to listen, his ears like radar. The boy recognized the smell of water, and assumed the sound was only the movement of the river.

After a few moments Himmel knew he only had one course of action and that was to approach the water, which he did with deliberate strides; inching closer until he was standing upon an outcropping of stone, like a ledge. He didn't like the look of the water as it flowed - the pond hadn't done that except to strand him.

However he could make out something deep in the water. It hummed louder as he drew closer. He had no idea what it was aside from unnatural. It didn't have the same smooth or round aesthetic as the mushrooms, but it hummed as if it held magicka within it. It was something sophisticated. But the boy couldn't fathom what a generator was. It sat there humming and he stared at it a moment longer before turning away, stepping apart from the river's edge to plot a new course.
