James was hunched in front of a small fire with what looked to be a stone bowl resting atop three rocks tilted into a pyramid shape. Underneath were sticks leaning up against each other too, and a flat rock that would hopefully spark the tinder underneath and ignite the wood.

He lifted his head and threw the rock down, striking against the other and somehow making a spark. He'd expected to have to use magic to get a flame going, but it soon started to catch and he kicked the rocks out of the way before grabbing his bags of fruit and other materials. He started to crush fruit in a bowl using a rock, draining the juice into the larger bowl to start draining it. Everything he used was as clean as he could get it without some sort of cleansing spell, so he just hoped no one got sick.

And now... he just had to wait for the juice to reduce to a more sugary, syrupy liquid. Then he'd set it out on the thin slab he had to bake instead, and serve the visitors of the fair a yummy stick of fruity goodness!

James hummed as he waited for all the fruit juice to simmer, tail swishing back and forth as he pulled out the next bag. He dumped out some feathers onto the ground and carefully started to pick some into small piles depending on size. They were his own feathers, from his wings, tail, crest, and body, and different sizes and lengths had different purposes. Now he just had to try and tie them together.

The vines he had were thinner than normal, perfect for tying and using either to hang them or as necklace string.

To his pleasant surprise, his magic came easily, weaving feathers together into colorful bundles, making sets of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and ornaments. He set them down upon a fur he'd brought, putting them on display for those who wished to take one. He had no need for these feathers anyway, so he hoped others may at least find them pretty. They were beautiful, in different shades of brown, white, pink, purple, and even blue. He was proud of the beauty of his feathers.

James turned to see if the sugar treats were ready and trilled happily, the juice having reduced. He lifted the bowl and carefully poured the juice out onto the slab, rolling them up into tubes of sugar once they semi-dried in the air. When it was all gone he put it back over the flames and poured more juice in. There were a lot of mouths to feed after all!

Now... how was he going to go about offering his treats without embarrassing himself?

"Excuse me!", he asked a passerby, "I have delicious treats and beautiful trinkets! You don't have to offer anything for them, I offer them for free, of course!"

End thread.
