There'd been magic, or... something. He hadn't really been paying attention, though he was here to investigate now. Up until this point, however, Shango had just been living a content, if half-feral, life in Eridanus. Claws and wings carried him to higher branches among the broad-trunked trees, where he took prey that passed unaware below him. Sun and warmth alternated with chilly, rainy fog--a cool that he, in his warm fur, felt comfortable against--and these, along with the rustling leaves and calls of Eridanus' birds, made for a comfortable existence.

He came to the place of shimmering magic and paused, sniffing at it. The colors were--wrong, impossible somehow, weird and spooky, and Shango backed off uncertainly. Nearer to the Eyes he smelled something strange, and nosing in the grass, he found something... small. Hard, and spicy.

Well, that was weird.

He licked it into his mouth to taste it, to eat it.

And from there, well--he supposed the light show bore investigating, if... cautiously.
