QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Paws much too large for his body carried him at leisurely pace across the warm sands. Bright green eyes looked this way and that as he walked along the beach of the bay. He had just made his way from the tunnel between Leo and Ursa so he was quite happy to be away from the cold of Ursa. It was warm here not an overly hot warm, it was an inviting comforting warmth. He liked it here, his first time through had been hurried and he hadn’t take the time to just walk and look at the sights.
As broad paws carried him closer to the waters the young wolf felt himself sink slightly into the sands beneath him. It was a strange feeling and he lifted his paws looking beneath each one to take in how the sand worked. Setting his paws back down in the sand the young wolf flexed his paws digging them down into the sand before beginning to make his way across the beach. Bright green eyes gazed up at the giant stone structures that rose into the air. He wondered how one would make their way up to the tops of those massive pillars. Perhaps there was a trail leading up to the tops of different ones.
Sigurd moved closer to one of these stone structures, curious he walked around the base looking for a way up. He wondered if perhaps one would have to have wings to get to the tops of these things. Perhaps he could find one with a trail leading up if he decided to stay longer. But now he wandered away from it and toward the waters edge. Curious at seeing this much water for the first time. The young wolf moved to stand ankle deep in the water, then he moved in up to his chest. It was strange but he liked it. Slowly the young wolf moved deeper into the water until he was no longer touching. The young wolf began to kick his legs, however his breathing was ragged and nervous and so he dipped below the surface. Coming back up the young wolf shook his head and sneezed, he began kicking harder and slowed his breathing so that it was calmer and more even. Curious the young wolf swam out a ways before turning around and swimming back to the shore.
Panting the young wolf grinned and pulled himself up onto the beach. The young wolf shook his fur flinging droplets of water everywhere as he shook himself dry. Falling still the young wolf looked around his bright green eyes gazing about. In the distance the young wolf caught something glinting in the light from the orbs above. Curious the young wolf approached it. As the young wolf came upon the object he had found something that was rounded on the bottom but sort of scoop shaped, the inside a brilliant opalescence of white and colors. Looking at the object it was about the size of one of his center paw pad. Reaching down curiously the little wolf picked it up in his teeth and bit down. He found it to be hard yet cool, and had a mineraly taste to it. Though as the little wolf slid it onto his tongue he found it to be smooth on the inside and rough with ridges on the outside.
The young wolf spit it back out onto the sand and looked down at it. He liked the way it looked but he had yet to settle anywhere for longer than three sleep cycles at once. So he had nowhere to stow this lovely little trinket. So rather than take it with him the young wolf just smiled and admired it for a moment before leaving it for the next person to take as a souvenir. The young wolf began to now make his way to the tunnel leading from Ursa to back to where he had been born in Gemini. He was on the move and he was intrigued to see where his paws would allow him to settle this time.
