Master Vargas couldn't have made every molecular structure in its body. There were so many pieces of Khavur that were out of his control, entirely out of his solar system. Master Vargas' planets orbited a center of perfection, one they could and should never reach, one that would swallow them whole come a few billion years. How much of those stars and planets were in some fiber of its being, how much of it was his fault and how much was its own? If Khavur was not among those in Master Vargas' system, was rather some outlier, then how would it react to... Here, unbeknownst to Khavur, lies a test.

It was all part of something bigger. From Lord Dhracia to some creator to...

And here is where the claws of darkness gripped at living Gembound, where Draconua's sort got their feeding, where tunnel runners and trapdoor rays strayed. Where black and white were the same thing. The Sentinel saw white... Khavur only saw ghosts of what might have been alive had the eerie influence of greater beings not prevailed here. What was Khavur, in this domain...? White and black? Or something colorful and real?

Its hide was bathed in brightest blue. A sky were none was to be found. A haven?

Through the tunnel it wandered, feeling so incomprehensibly small, wriggling and damp and blind, and yet somehow scrutinized.

Vjira wandered into a place of darkness. Mist covered the place, making it hard for the valkhound to see her own claws through it, though they were audibly tipp-tapping on the rock below. The valkhound's instincts were telling them that something was afoot here, what it was though? Nothing. As far as the feral being could tell. Vjira was not the most knowing being, however - nor did they have a single thought in their head as they wandered through the tunnel.

It was silent, until it wasn't anymore. The familiar echo of claws-on-ground made the valkhound turn her head to the sound. Though it bounced off the walls, floor, any part of the cave, so it was hard to pinpoint where the sound exactly came from. So, the valkhound was stuck there - to wander in some random direction, or to not wander in some random direction. Of course, Vjira took to the first one. And she turned, in the direction she thought the sound was coming from, anyway.

Multiple sets of eyes caught sight of a blinding thing - standing so painfully out from the darkness around them. How strange, it was. She might have wondered if she thought words in her head - but no, instead the valkhound chirped in the direction of the thing. It almost reminded them of their parent but different.

Chirp.

What?

Khavur's heads moved to instant alert, swiveling around to catch a sign of life.

Something in the darkness.

Khavur must not have heard the approach with all the noise of thought in its own head.

Something watching you--?

Soon enough the thing- the person was spotted. Khavur recoiled slightly on seeing its face -- not out of fear for its appearance but rather out of general surprise at seeing anything around its size at all. It looked like a sibling, which was to say strikingly different from Khavur's own self, but related in levels of monstrosity. This one looked like it was far more suited to darkness. Perhaps the shape of its face made it unsuited for regular speech...?

Khavur could sense its presence in more ways than one. Where its eyes strained through the black-and-white to see the shapes and colors of the intrusion, the pits in its face could immediately sense the temperature difference. With magic, Khavur could sense it a third time as well, through the blood that surely ran through its veins as it runs through all things. Khavur would abstain from that measure.

"Greetings." The voice of the Reaver would rumble out of one of its throats. "I am Khavur, Reaver of the Dark Above. What is your..." Khavur had never really seen or met this creature before, but it could almost be certain it had some alignment or relation to Master Vargas somehow. It couldn't have been one of his creations, Khavur knew, but that didn't mean for certain that it had an actual name. Did this creature look like it had earned a name? Well, it certainly looked like it could, but names weren't earned by looks so, "...designation?"

The other creation eventually turned to look at Vjira. The two heads was not frightening to her in the slightest, if anything it made the valkhound even more curious. The reason Vjira could see incredibly well in the dark was the magic she inherently knew, not that she knew she had it or knew how to use it. Only that and the shadows that cloaked her body were any indication of it. It also gave away that she was corrupted, not normal. If Khavur knew about that, anyway.

A speech impediment was not a caveat of her face shape, if anything it was her brain. All feral, no thinking. Like a pet instead of a being capable of knowledge on the largest of levels. She did not understand a word Khavur said to her, instead moving closer to sniff at one of the heads with a puff of hot air that most likely smelled terrible from her teeth always being exposed. The sounds directed at her did not stop her from invading Khavur's personal space entirely. Which could be a problem, but she could care less.

Text here. "Speech." Thoughts.

This beast was similar to Draconua and Vargas in that they were all purple-y monsters whose bodies were easily slicked with shadows, like oil on a duck's back. Unlike them, however, this one was smaller, approaching Khavur's size, and rather than have a voice that made tremors run through stone, it seemed to not have a voice... at all. Instead, it came closer to Khavur and what are you doing what are you doing what are you--

Khavur's head leaned away but... maybe that was rude? Or just... a strange reaction? Gathering someone's scent was a normal activity, the chemical signals could tell tales about a person without ever even having to look them in the eyes-- okay yes it was normal but this creature wasn't even talking about it or asking or--

Khavur would allow the sniffing, although it felt strange... mildly uncomfortable, and it had to endure the nasty puff of breath that bombarded one of its noses. It was a courtesy, something you just accepted when your entire family and every allied party was alien, even to you. They all had their ways of being, ones that the rest would never understand. All of them were built differently, for different purposes. So Khavur couldn't really get upset about this... honestly, it was nicer than getting scolded and bossed around.

That didn't explain the lack of speaking, but Khavur figured that it wouldn't just ignore the request for a designation without reason. "Uh- Ahem." Shoot, what do you say when someone is sniffing you? 'Do I smell nice? No that is out of line. Why are you doing this? Ask who it is again--' "Th-thank you...?" Dear gosh okay-- "Maximus, are you there?" Could they sense what Khavur was feeling now? "I... need help. What do you say... if someone is sniffing you?" There came bewilderment, which was to be expected."... Did you say sniffing? Um... Maybe ask them why?" That was... that was fair. "Thank you." Khavur sent a little mental chuckle. Bizarre situation, wasn't it? "Why... Why did you do- ah, that?" Feeling Maximus' presence made Khavur feel a little bolder, but no less confused.

The two-headed one let Vjira sniff it, and at that Vjira felt comfort. Was this one a sibling? Vjira did not wonder too many things - small brained, after all. Though it was more curious about how Khavur managed to have two heads of all things. Vjira had never seen anyone like that before, so it was only 'normal' for them to be curious about it. Vjira stepped back after her sniffing was done, completely ignoring the discomfort Khavur might have been feeling. She didn't even register that as something Khavur could feel - what were feelings even?

Her eyes were better suited to places like this, for some reason. The lack of blinding light made the valkhound less rowdy, if that meant anything for Khavur. Though the two-headed hybrid wouldn't know that without being told that, and well, Vjira sure as heck couldn't tell it that. Nor could anyone else, since they'd not really found out that specific trait at that point. It didn't matter too much anyway - Vjira mostly ignored the blinding lights anyway. It wasn't too bad (sometimes it was) but Vjira didn't have much a voice to talk about it.

Eyes moved now to stare at the two heads - did they use one brain? Vjira couldn't really,,, wonder that in words, but they were curious how Khavur even moved around like that. Could they reach out and touch?

@Khavur [i am,,, so sorry for her nonsense htaegsdf]
